It is stamped on the bottom where it was upholstered. The piece is in great shape with no breaks or damage that I can see. With any piece of antique furniture. Antique Carved Chippendale Walnut Footstool Needlepoint Cover Stagecoach Scene Search DESCRIPTION: FRESH ESTATE FIND. Presenting an antique carved walnut wooden footstool in the Chippendale style with a neat needlepoint upholstery on the top. It reads"Travel East. Travel West, After All- Home is Best" along with a very attractive stagecoach scene. It m easures 12" by 14" and 5 3/4" tall. The needlepoint is in good condition with no rips or tears. There are two frayed threads on the outer edge and a few light stains that I did not try to clean. I have shown the worst side of the stool in most of the photos. The stool does need some work. Two of the feet have a thin sliver or strip(about 1/8" thick) gouged from them. One foot has a small chip on the edge. And there is one old age fissure in the wood just above ... moreone foot. See all of the photos for close-ups of the described damage. The stool still displays quite well even with the damage to the feet. It sounds worse than it looks. Pictures were taken with and without a flash to best illustrate the true color and details. Any white or bright spots are light reflections. SHIPPING: I charge the actual shipping cost only. Up for auction is a lovely vintage footstool with a floral needlepoint cushion. This is a great piece. An excellent addition to any home. The footstool measures approximately 14 1/4 x 14 1/4 x 9" This is a sturdy little stool. The wood base is solid. There are signs of past use on this stool, including scratches and scrapes on the wood portion, and some slight staining on the top. I didn't try to clean the top portion at all, so the stains may be able to be lightened or removed with a careful cleaning. In addition, one side of the top is a bit loose from the base. Antique Hand Carved Footstool - Peru - Hand Tooled Leather
Very interesting and beautiful piece I obtained at a local estate auction. The story is that the owner's mother's great aunt was a missionary in Peru in the late 1800's and first decade of the 1900's and brought this piece back. Upon her death. It was left to the the seller's mother and now to the seller at said auction where I obtained it. It is in original vintage condition and is 12" high, appx. 17 3/4" wide and 10" deep. I don't know what type of wood it is, but it isn't particularly heavy. The top and around the sides of the top are covered with leather and has a scene of three figures(one sitting) and a llama with mountains in the background. It appears to be hand tooled. Obviously, as shown in the pics, the leather has deteriorated over the years and the finish on both the wood and leather ... moreare well used, but I found that to make this piece that much more interesting. Obviously, I have no paperwork to prove her story, but it seems to add up based on the quality of the items that were offered at the estate sale. The leather is not falling off, but rather well worn. Needlepoint Footstool For your consideration I have a beautiful antique needlepoint stool. It measures approximately 12" by 14" by 8-1/2" high. This stool was made pre-1940 in that the screws used in construction underneath are not Phillip's screws but the single slot screws. The tapistry background is dark blue with a beautiful hand stitched floral design. i am not an expert on furniture but I believe the legs are what is referred to as a Queen Ann style. Please look at my pictured to augment my description. I have taken a couple of pictures of the wood's design. There are a couple of minor scratches to the wood finish but overall condition is very good. much prettier in person! Antique Needlepoint Foot Stool - Carved Legs - Black Flower Top - Footstool
What a lovely footstool! It measures 16 1/2 x 12 1/2 x 9 inches. The needlepoint top features a lovely floral scene on a black ground. There is some wear to the needlepoint- some small holes here and there- see photo 9. The stuffing in the top has compacted a bit so the top curves in a bit- it just needs a little extra stuffing to bring it back up again. The base has been glued in places- see the last two photos but overall and there is a chip or two to the wood but overall. This antique footstool has a beautiful look- it's a great old piece!

Lovely antique 19th c. Victorian. Eastlake Movement, carved wood and spindle footstool/ottoman with six legs. I am not certain, but, believe the wood to be walnut. This piece is in wonderful condition for age. Small split in the wood on the inner side of one the middle feet(mentioned only for accuracy) Warm and rich patina. The original backing is fabulous. This piece is an estate piece which had begun the reupholstering process when the woman passed.therefore it will need new upholstery. Not so good if you want a finished piece, but, perfect if you are looking for an almost done piece to go with your existing décor. Antique Footstool. Nice Carved Wood Sides and Original Round Ball Feet
This is a lovely little antique footstool in excellent shape. I believe the fabric has been changed at some point. It is a designer upholstery fabric that is a medium dark green and has a slight sheen to it that I believe shows in the photos. There is also green trim around the footstool. The bottom edge is carved wood all the way around the little footstool. Under the edges are these adorable round ball feet. I believe there are good pictures of the underside which shows the true age of the piece. It is in excellent. Rarely used condition. It measures 17" x 13" and is about 6" tall in the center. This charming antique needlepoint stool was recently acquired from an estate sale. The carved wood base is accented with an archway style design in the wood. The black needlepoint boasts a gorgeous bouquest of pink roses. The stool measures 8" tall x 14 1/4" long x 9 3/4" wide. The needlepoint is in excellent condition. I could only find one extremely tiny white dot on the black background. No holes or fading. The stuffing is firm and the stool is very clean. The wood finish has some scratches as seen in the photos. With wonderfully detailed hand carving on the legs and apron. The wood is approx 1-1/2" on the apron area. I can not be sure of the exact age but believe this to be an older/ antique piece mainly because of the thickness of the wood which would usually only be seen in earlier examples. The top measures approx 14" wide by approx 11-1/2" deep. The piece stands approx 10" tall. The wood appears to be either mahogany or walnut- I am not sure which. The footstool is very strong and sturdy and the upholstery very nice and clean- probably was reupholstered sometime ago- this surely must not be the original upholstery. Antique Victorian Floral Needlepoint Embroidery & Carved Dark Wood Footstool
This listing is for an antique wood and needlepoint footstool. I do now know what kind of wood it is but it has a dark stain. The needlepoint has a very dark burgundy background with dusty rose. Powder blue and white flowers with sage and dark green leaves. There are felt pads on the bottoms of all feet to protect surfaces. The stool is very sturdy. Please view all photos as they are considered to be an important part of the description. Condition: Some small nicks to wood legs and frame. See photos. Some wear to needlepoint top, see photos. Overall a beautiful piece in good condition for its age.
