Seat is round, 9" circumference. Smaller circle with 1-1/2" star cut out is 4" around in circumference. Finish is rusty with some corrosion. Hardware appears all original. Top of seat is not completely level and straight, it has conformed a little from years of use and has slight bends present on seat, see all photos. Appears to be an all original. Well used stool weighs 7 lbs. and measures 13" Tall x 16" wide at it's widest point of the legs x 13" in depth. The seat measures 14 3/4" wide x 13" deep. The seat is constructed out of pine and the frame and legs are a hardwood that we can't determine what type of wood it is. The stool is still sturdy but one of the legs is shorter than the others causing it to wobble, you can trim off the bottom of the legs if you want to level it back up. It has the original green paint that is reminiscent of the 1950's and 60's green paint underneath a coat of antique white paint. We didn't clean the stool at all because we didn't want to change the original condition that we found it in. It would need a good and careful cleaning(if you want to) As it is a little dirty from all the years it was used and from being in the barn. Retail Value Estimate- $75.00-$95.00 We are not 100% sure of the age but is most likely to be from th e early 1950's based on the original paint and style of construction. In#2 you can see the dowel that the seat slats are assembled onto. The'makers mark' is shown in photo#6, stamped into the bottom side of seat. Up for your bid is a genuine metal milking stool straight from the farm. This stool had some rust. So it was sand blasted and sprayed with primer gray Rustoleum paint- so it is ready to paint any color you desire(great painting surface for the tole artist,too. This is a 3 legged stool with hand forged welded joints. It measures 12 3/4 inches high, 9 3/4 inches in diameter. There is a handy hole for hanging( these were hung on a nail with legs facing outward. There is another hole where the metal was weak along the edge and broke through, doesn't affect its usability, just gives it an extra dose of character. A Primitive Antique Hand Hewn Wooden Pennsylvania Farm Stool c.1880's from Lancaster County. Pennsylvania A Hand Hewn Milking Stool with Rare Unusual Swivel Seat DESCRIPTION A Primitive Old Farm Stool from Lancaster County An Antique Pennsylvania Farm Stool that is most unusual. we've never seen another one like this. a true and quite rare PRIMITIVE handmade wooden stool still with quite a lot of old dry surface paint finish visable. This was made so that the top portion of the stool rotates. A rare SWIVEL SEAT milking stool. The entire stool is all hand hewn and comes apart in three pieces. Probably originally used in the barn for milking cows. It's extremely old. Certainly at least c.1880 and possible well before that date. The base has three legs that are mortised through the thick slab of wood that supports the seat. Looking ... moredown on the top of this part of the stool. You can see that all three of the legs are mortised and tenon construction. Each was fitted with a small piece of wood, splaying the top portion of the leg and adding strength to the join. One tenon has an old nail through it. Each of the legs was hand hewn, you can see the axe marks clearly on them. One of the legs was replaced, but many years ago, it has a more rough surface and there is no old paint on that one. The other two have a smooth feel to the surface, and you can still see and feel the axe marks. The seat is made from one solid piece of oak. Again all hand hewn. It's quite wide and oval shaped measuring 12" across in one direction and 11" across in the opposite direction. And it is dish shaped, raised at the sides and dips down low toward the center. The height of the seat portion varies. From wear and use, depending on where you measure, it is anywhere from 3" to 2-3/8" high. Lots of wear visable and old paint around the canted sides. The seat rests upon the slab section that holds the legs and you can see the wear to the wood where they have rubbed against each other over many years. A hand carved

Guaranteed old 3 legged metal milk stool. It was originally RED on the top, you can still see the original color through the corrosion and rust. In all its natural glory. This awesome authentic dairy barn milking stool makes a great decor piece or photography studio or theater production prop. Sits fine and is still usable and stable. Measures 12" high. Seat is round, 9" circumference. Smaller circle with 1-1/2" star cut out is 4" around in circumference. Finish is rusty with some corrosion. Hardware appears all original. Offered is a vintage(age unknown) Handmade Black wood w/leather covered curved seat Milking/Foot stool. This was purchased by me in PA a few years back. I can't quite remember what I was told about this milking stool but I do believe it to be Amish made.I kinda have a recollection that it was related to me this is rather old.but I had a traumatic brain injury a few years ago and I don't have the memory I once did. It does look pretty old to me and the leather is well aged and does have a tear on one side as shown in the photos and old looking nails BUT not handmade(in my estimation) and only seen where the leather is tacked to the bench(and do appear to be brass nails at least on one side.but I really do not know. I cannot see any other hardware on this item. There is a bit of gold paint on the underside spindles but not on the top ... morewhere the handles are. Although they are spindled. This stool measures approximately 19" wide from handle to handle x 13 1/8" wide@ handles x16.75" tall 2 handle tops and 22.75" wide from leg to leg(at bottom) and 14 7/8" tall at middle of curved seat. Some minor paint loss, and a few minor nicks/scratches but overall in pretty good condition.

You are bidding on a VINTAGE HANDMADE PRIMITIVE item PRIMITIVE Handmade Stool with Tree Trunk/LOG Cross-Section SEAT. 4-Legs MILKING Stool or for OTHER UNKNOWN USE. Handmade Folk Art piece is 14" Tall. This very unusual piece stands 14" Tall. The seat is a solid 4 inch chunk/cross section of a log with a nice knot center. There are splits in the seat. Please see photos. There are dark reddish knots in the wood. It does not appear to be pine. Oak or maple but I am unsure of the source. Please view the photos to determine what kind of tree from which this stool was made. The leg span is roughly 12 inches. This piece does show quite a bit of wear.
