Pre columbian mayan toltec stone head that reportedly came out of the Yucatan during the 1960's. I belive that this piece could have been carved with stone chisel. The age of this piece is unknown and sold as is with no authenticity expressed or implied. This could be a very rare object that shows a man with what could be facial hair. For sale is I believe an antique opium lamp. It measures about 2 15/16" tall and is made of either brass or bronze with a stone-like material inbetween. My best guess is that it might be jade but other possibilities are marble. Alabaster, or some other similar material? It may be jade since it has white, orange, and green color, and is very smooth and cold to the touch. It has no glass shade but it in very good shape with typical wear, as pictured. A very nice looking and colorful string of graduated size mixed shell and soft stone beads from pre-Spanish contact(pre-Columbian) coastal Peru. Dating from about 100 to 1500 AD. This item came from an ancient habitation site(from Moche, to Sican, to Incan? in northern coastal Peru however, many of the shells may have been trade from a more northern coastal region. The string consists of varying size hand made colorful shell(including bright orange spondyllus shell) and soft stone beads. Including some nice bright blue turquoise. T he condition is mostly good. Showing some age and wear overall, about 3 to 6 mm in diameter and about 17 inches in length. It is temporarily strung on fishing line with a screw type clasp, it could be worn for a short time but should be restrung for long term wear. Northwestern Chihuahua, Mexico, in the river basin.This implement was manufactured, possibly, to cut wooden beams and to aid in general construction, a well-made piece. Carved in hard-gray stone with extra-wide shallow groove, angular poll, three-quarter grooved design, one flat side. Very good condition.
