Believed to be Mayan the figurine was separated from necklace for aesthetic reasons leaving a beautiful. Wearable green columbian agate bead and 14kt gold bead necklace. The figurine weighs 31gr for a gold value of around $900. It can be easily restrung back with necklace if desired and is included so as to not separate the pieces. The Latin and pre Columbians loved music and rhythms for ceremony and fun. It's hard to go to a South American City and not seeing men playing a variety of flutes. Many flutes were made in pottery and played quite well despite taking the forms of many animals. It is amazing how these artisans could make such non standardized pieces that carried notes. Ancient Bead Necklace With 14k Yellow Gold Spacer Beads - Pre Columbian (?)
For your consideration. A necklace of green and brick red colored stones and gold spacer beads. The necklace has an avian idol in the center and is about 16 inches long. I do not have authentication for it but it is a piece that was made by my father who had a collection of precious and semi precious beads as well as pre Columbian beads. I believe these beads are carnelian and jadeite and the center bead is also Pre Columbian. The clasp is stamped 14k and I did my best to capture the stamp in the pictures; however the stamp is very small. The spacer beads are not magnetic. The necklace was my Mother's and she rarely wore it. She usually carefully stored it in her jewelry box. Items come from a smoke free home and are kept in a pet free part of the house. New LOW Price - Unique, Wearable Pre-Columbian Beaded Necklace
This piece was found tucked away in my Grandmother's possessions and I have decided not to keep it as I have too many collections and cannot begin collecting yet another category. It is a very interesting necklace which I remember seeing a few times when my Grandmother wore it with a big. Chunky sweater. She explained that it was an artifact from pre-Columbian times which was obtained during her travels. I must disclose first that it has been restrung on monofilament wire(a clear plastic thread, sometimes used as fishing line) which makes it very stable and wearable. The necklace consists of both natural stones and man-made beads. I believe the beads are composed of terracotta of some kind. The man-made beads are done mostly in a reddish-brown color and two in a jade green color. There are two of the reddish-brown which are tubular and ... more101 small disc-shaped. The other two tubular beads are jade green in color. The pendant is natural stone. It is round in shape and has a hole in the center and the color is a taupe with some reddish-brown. Each side of the pendant is of a different color and the hole in the center resembles the holes in the other pieces of natural stone. The measurement of this bead is about 1 3/4 inches in diameter and 2/8 inches thick. Please see the photographs as they are an important part of the description. The majority of the other natural stones are nugget shaped with some which are flatter and they vary in color from white to beige to taupe and green. There are 38 stones not including the larger round pendant. The piece is about 24 1/2 inches in length and hangs to about 12 1/4 inches when worn. All of the beads are strung symetrically which makes this a very wearable and attractive as well as collectable item. The stones and beads are all very smooth to the touch and holding it in one's hands is a pleasent tactile experience. Some have aritual significance also and this necklace seems to have a baby wrapped in a blanket hanging from the bottom. I do not know if this was the original arrangement or not as it has been restrung on knotted modern black cord with the"baby" hanging from mono filament loop. This 19 inch necklace is composed of 24 pottery clay spindle whorls from anient Ecuador. It is from a private collection and the owner purchased it in Ecuador in this condition many years ago. The necklace was in with La Tolita fragments 300 B.C. 500 A.D. and some Jamacoaque fragments 500 A.D. to 1000 A.D. so I cannot positivitely identify the culture. The whorls have been strung mostly alternating bell shaped ... moreand round disks some with incised designs and a few(2) ball shaped whorls. Many bell shaped whorls have original red pigment with the larger ones measuring 1 1/8 inch wide and one at 1 1/4 inches wide. About 7 have damage and are chipped but retain their original shape and I have tried to picture some. The remainiing 17 are in excellent condition considering the age with no or very little visible damage. The"baby" as I call it measures 3 inches long and is smooth on the back. PRE COLUBIAN ECUADOR NECKLACE SPINDLE WHORLS AUTHENTIC Eight very detailed small spindle whorls approximately the size of a nickle coin fashioned into a 20" long necklace. Purchased from a private U.S. collection and in with La Tolita and Jamacoaque fragments. these spindle whorls are authentic Pre Columbian. The white round beads and green small beads are fashioned out of some white chalky substance with a slick shiney coating. At first the green beads resembled stone but one is chipped and the green coating is off and the same white chalk like substance is underneath. See the photogrtaph. The green beads show lots of debris as do the spndle whorls but I cannot say what or how old they are as this has been restrung with contemporary white string and a silver metal hook. The round crystal beads are definitely contemporary in my opinion ... morebut added to make a wearable necklace. The small greenish stone figure at the bottom resembles some kind of animal either real or mythical with what appears to be large ears and three fingered hands and toes It is 1 1/4 inches high and looks authentic and has tiny crystaline inclusions that reflect the light. Much of the ancient pottery I have has these inclusions also but old stone is old stone. I am not an expert and will guarantee only that the spindle whorls are authentic and if the rest is so much the better. Exellent condition with only some of the round chalk like and green beads having chips. The spindle whorls are not damaged and have lots of debris in the lines which has been retained.

8 ANCIENT PRE-COLUMBIAN TAIRONA INDIAN RED JASPER STONE TUBE BEADS for NECKLACE
My mother recently passed and these belonged to her. Unfortunately I do not know a whole lot about them except for what I could find online. The largest bead is 1 1/2 inch long and the smallest is 1/2 inch. She collected these necklaces through her life and some broke and these are a few of the beads. Ancient Pre Columbian 39 Bead Mayan Necklace With Head
You are bidding on an ancient columbian mayan necklace with head. The necklace consists of 39 beads. Plus the head. The item measures approximately 36 inches in length. The necklace is held together by a very sturdy thin rope, with a knot on the top. Each bead has it's very own unique carving and texture. The face on the bottom looks of a gargoyle, bat or demon looking creature. The nose is chipped on the face and is below a very large oval brown colored bead.
