Ancient Pre-Columbian Teotihuacan Green Jade/Nephrite Amulet Figure 600 BCE ex Museum. I was told this was at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York ... moreand was part of a collection sold off. The stand was made specifically for this piece by the museum. It's size and base holes were carved to exact specs so that the figure stands firmly and securely. I'm sure the base cost them a couple hundred dollars alone. It comes with the sale of this piece. This is 100% genuine and is over 2,500 years old. Although the rear looks like it has a crack from the photo, that is NOT a crack. It's a black vein in the rock. This is in museum condition. About 4 and 3/4 inches tall.

OBSIDIAN CORE ~ TEOTIHUACAN MEXICO ~ MESOAMERICA
We originally acquired this obsidian core from an estate along with many other antique items. It measures approximately 5 5/8” in length and is about 1” thick at the widest point. On the side of the core is a transparent label which reads“CORE- TEOTIHUACAN, MEXICO” see photos) Teotihuacan was a pre-Columbian Mesoamerican city located in the Valley of Mexico. It was(and is) located approximately 30 miles northeast of modern day Mexico City. It was established c. 100 BC and continued for the next 800 years or so. In its day. It was the largest city in the pre-Columbian Americas. Today, it is the most visited archeological site in Mexico. One of the things that the city was noted for in its’ day was fine obsidian tools which were used widely throughout Mesoamerica. This core that we are offering here today may well relate to the day of obsidian ... moretools. We have no way of knowing with any certainty and we lack the expertise to comment beyond speculation. However. We assume some knowledgeable party out there will recognize this item for what it is. The core is in good original condition as far as we can see. There is chippiness to the ends that we suspect comes from when it was originally shaped. We see no cracks. This is an interesting piece and if anyone has specific information that they are willing to share, we would be pleased to hear from you. Maya – Teotihuacan Large Cylinder Authentic Pre-Columbian
Maya– Teotihuacan Large Cylinder Authentic Pre-Columbian The economy is killing me. And I am forced to sell more of my extensive Pre-Columbian antiquities collection. Bidding starts low with no reserve! Description: Rare large Pre-Classic Teotihuacan-Mayan cylinder depicting Ant God Azcatl and maize kernels. This piece originally had three slab-style pedestal feet that have been lost to antiquity. This has a dark red background with lighter red zoomorphic design of the story of the Ant God Azcatl: Shortly after creating the new race of humans. Quetzalcoatl realized that he had to feed them or they would all die. Fortuitously, he saw Azcatl, a red ant, scurrying by with a kernel of corn in his jaws. Quetzalcoatl immediately asked where such food could be found, but Azcatl refused at first to reveal the secret. After some bullying, Azcatl finally ... morerelented and took Quetzalcoatl to Tonacatepetl, where Quetzalcoatl had to transform into a black ant in order to follow Azcatl through the narrow cracks through the mountain. Deep inside Quetzalcoatl discovered a massive store of corn which Azcatl guarded. Quetzalcoatl took some back with him where he and the other gods chewed on the maize to create a corn mash that they could feed to the infant humans, thus allowing them to survive and grow. This is an important piece that portrays the cosmopolitan nature of the Teotihuacano empire and their willingness to accept outsiders(who were often fleeing volcanic eruptions which had buried their corn crops) Ancient stable chips on rim and well-worn interior as seen in photos. A great artifact for disaster researchers! A note about shipping costs: I double box all of my antiquities with sufficient packing and allowing for crush-space. This means the outside box dimension is many times the size of the actual item. And actual shipping expenses are higher than I am charging for the auction. The good news is, I have yet to have a 2000+ year old artifact arrive broken(at least not more broken that it was when I shipped it! Catego

Superb Collection Artifacts Teotihuacan Mayan Pre-Columbian
Hi. I have an awesome collectionof artifacts for auction. These amazing relics are in great condition and most have original paint. Some of these are from Teotihuacan and some are Mayan. Every one of these would look awesome mounted. The smallest one in the upper right corner, is one of my favorite. It is a jaguar wearing a crown with original yellow paint. These are above average to say the least. I bought these from previous collections. I spent as much on each of these, as I have sold whole groups for. The half dollar is for size comparison and is not part of this auction. I combine shipping. Thanks for looking.
