Ancient Pre-Columbian Teotihuacan Green Jade/Nephrite Amulet Figure 600 BCE ex Museum. I was told this was at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York ... moreand was part of a collection sold off. The stand was made specifically for this piece by the museum. It's size and base holes were carved to exact specs so that the figure stands firmly and securely. I'm sure the base cost them a couple hundred dollars alone. It comes with the sale of this piece. This is 100% genuine and is over 2,500 years old. Although the rear looks like it has a crack from the photo, that is NOT a crack. It's a black vein in the rock. This is in museum condition. About 4 and 3/4 inches tall.

Pre-Columbian group of 3, yes, 3 Peruvian pieces. Guaranteed .Authentic
3 Peruvian pieces. The first. A seated figure is 6-3/4" tall, with a red burnished slip. The broken off spout would add about 1-3/4" more. The spout part is not complete. Apparently missing the very top part. The figure is broken and reglued as the photos show. Had I the time I'd enjoy restoring it. But that must be left for the next owner. The second. A low flattened bowl about 5" x 3 3/8" appears to have no restoration other than a very small rim chip reglued and a breaking wave design incised around the top and dark brown burnished surface. The third has a globular body with a tall. Thick spout with linear designs and many small, circular incisions. Height is approximately 5-1/4" and about 4" wide. The first bowl is late Mochica; and I'm afraid there isn't enough information to know the cultures ... moreof the second two. The Lands Beyond is a 45 year old brick and mortar Pre-Columbian gallery. We absolutely guarantee everything we sell. For authenticity and condition. Considered experts. We authenticate for several. Large auction houses. Other dealers and collectors. 3 Pre-Incan Pre-Columbian Artifacts, Chimu Backstrap Loom with Textile, Shawl +
The story of these astonishing 3 artifacts began off of the coast of Peru near the town of Chimbote sometime between 1000 A.D. and 1500 A.D. They are believed to have belonged to a woman from the Chimu Civilization. As they have strong similarities to other Chimu textiles. The Chimu Civilization was the largest civilization to thrive in Peru. Just before the Inca came to power around 1500 A.D. Just as today. Life near Chimbote, called the great City of Chan Chan in the Chimu period, revolved around the sea and trade goods. Fine textiles were prized as status symbols of wealth and power. And traded for goods found only in the interior regions of Peru. Women who excelled at the art of weaving lived in better housing within the City of Chan Chan. And were provided with the best food and care. They made tunics. Loin cloths, and carry bags for ... morethe politicians and elite, and for trade to bring in the best goods for the elite. Other women weavers lived outside of the City. And made clothing and bags for the general population. The woman's tomb containing these artifacts was uncovered deep in the sand near Chimbote in the early 1960's. This ancient woman was discovered with her backstrap loom. And still on the loom was the unfinished textile she was buried with, to finish in the after-life. Her burial shawl was wrapped around her head. Face and upper body. The part of the shawl here is the top piece that covered her face and hair. The smallest textile artifact is believed to be the remnants of a shoulder strap to a purse that carried her necessities to the afterlife. The tight weave of these textiles is astounding. And the strap has a pattern of long woven rows with deliberate small gaps woven between them. It's fascinating. A technician aboard the famous hospital ship HOPE was skilled at carpentry. And made the lucite and wood cases for these artifacts, and mounted the loom within its case. Being a people of the sea. The Chimu designs often depict fish, pelicans, and sea otters. This textile depicts pelicans

LOT 3 CLAY FIGURES PRE COLUMBIAN PERUVIAN POTTERY ARTIFACTS 3 STATUES
Sometimes I see very rare and special antiquities collected by old Charleston families going through our local high end estate sales and such is the case with these three marvelous ancient pre Columbian Peruvian pottery figures. These terrific antique clay figures measure 4.75 inches tall by 4.5 inches long; 4.5 inches tall by 4 inches long; and 3 inches tall by inches long. Respectively. I've included numerous pictures in an attempt to accurately represent their design, quality, condition and overall beauty. Though I am not an expert in pre Columbian artifacts. It's very clear this wonderful group of ancient pottery figures are quite special and not something easy to come by. When they came to the auction where they sold, all that was known is that they had been in the grandfather's collections going back to the early 1900's ... morebut no other specific information as to whom or how they were originally obtained was provided, though it was clearly long ago and many years prior to any regulations limiting export so such historically relevant pieces by collectors and tourists. The only information with the figures was a hand written note stating they were of the pre Columbian Chimu culture, Peru 900-1470. To ship these incredible ancient collectibles. I would require they shipped via signature service UPS or USPS, fully insured for selling price. I am willing to sell and ship these artifacts internationally however I would require they be shipped via Priority Express International(USPS)with signature service at delivery and as well as buyer assuming all in country taxes and fees upon arrival. Certainly museum quality. This group of three Peruvian pre Columbian figures is certainly a rare and special find and I hope they find a very special home, whether museum or personal collection, where they will be loved and appreciated for their beauty and historical value. Please do visit my ebay store to see the wide variety of other fine antique and vintage collectibles I have available through separate auctions i

Pre-Columbian black 3 bird procession spindle whorl Guaranteed .Authentic
NOTE: $3.50 COVERS ALL SHIPPING. REGARDLESS OF NUMBER OF BEADS OR DESTINATION In the 1960's a large number of caches of brown and black incised beads. Or spindle whorls, were found in digs of the Manabi culture of Ecuador. Dated 500 B.C. to 500 A.D. The greatest numbers were simply decorated with circles. Dots and lines. A far smaller number depicted creatures that flew. Ran or crawled, combinations of several of these, or fantasy figures. All were filled with a clay-like substance that accentuated the incised designs. We are offering a selection of these. The finest we've seen and selected from thousands. It is believed that the larger ones were spindle whorls. And the smaller ones strung as beads. Regardless of their original usage. Their fabulous craftsmanship would make great necklaces. This is a black 3 bird procession bead. ... moreShowing both sides. 12.41 mm. x 11.99 mm. For descriptions. We are following information from the two books on the beads. Frederick W. Shaffer- Indian Designs From Ancient Ecuador. 1979, and Dumbarton Oaks- Studies in Pre-Columbian Art and Archeology. 12, symbolism of miniature art from Ecuador. Johannes Wilbert. Pre-Columbian MAYAN CERAMIC BOWL, 10" dia. 3 leg, very Nice piece, Pot Bowl ?
I know little to nothing about this wonder part of history but I did sell a large Mayan collection some 20 years ago on Ebay with nothing but happy customers. I know enough to judge the real thing which this is. I respectfully offer this and some other pieces of art& history on Ebay. I know nothing about what figure this represents. Figure seems to have long horns to me. These are from an Estate I bought from a gentleman who worked for Halliburton traveling the world for 50 years looking for places to dig for oil. Please view my other listings. If somebody wanted all at one price I could chat about that. I will double box all of these pieces so they make their travel safely. Please note: this bowl has many little flaws due to age and who knows why. Please email with any questions. Thank you! approximate size 10" diameter. 7 inches ... moretall

We have looked at them very closely and I had a knowledgeable friend check them out. These three ancient Pre-Columbian Bowls are guaranteed to be authentic. The first bowl is the smallest of the three. It measures 4 ½ inches in diameter by 2 ¾ inches tall. The top edge has a crimped and the outside has a hand painted diamond design. Wayne Kraxberger was with the University of Colorado(Denver) anthropology department in the early part of the 20 th century. And did extensive field research throughout the Americas. Much of his work in those years was with famed archaeologists E.B. ... moreRenaud and Frank Roberts, considered by many as the first to piece together the mysteries of the Clovis and Folsom cultures in North America. About 10 years ago my husband purchased what remained of the Kraxberger collection from his daughter in Denver. Among the hundreds of artifacts were these pieces from the famed Mayan city of Teotihuacan. 3 Pre Columbian? Pottery S. America-Mexico, Aztec, Mayan God/Idol stone Statues
These are very nice pieces of art from Mexico or S. America. They might be pre-Columbian. I'm not an expert. But I purchased these statues from a high-end estates sale where some very nice ancient art was being sold. Must have been a collector. The middle piece(the tallest) is right under 9 inches tall. The one with the broken leg is also about the same hight. The shortest one is seven inches tall. There are some minor chips and discoloration on all pieces(see photos) But all in all, they are in great condition considering their age. They will be carefully packaged to insure no breakage. They are awesome pieces for the collector. I held on to these pieces not wanting to sell them because the were so different and unique, but they should go to someone who knows their worth and appreciate them.
