This doll has been protected by being encased in a lucite box frame that is ready to either display on a shelf or. A Moche/possibly early Chimu ovoid jar with a mold face. Pierced ears and a decorated area of some kind of creature with sharp teeth. Ribbons out of mouth would seem to indicate a religious significance for the pot. It is seven inches tall, six inches across at longest side and four inches deep. Semi rounded bottom. This appears to be intact. It would probably date fairly late in the Moche period, possibly 600 to 800 AD. This is from an old collection. Provenance will be provided to the buyer.
