This outstanding stacking desk bookcase ... moreis one of the nicest we have ever seen. It has leaded glass windows in the top two sections below the molded top. The carved fall board has a key that opens or locks the desk section. Inside are two strong desk lid supports and a nice set of pigeon holes with a single pencil drawer-fitted interior. The desk section sits above two full width drawers. The top drawer is shaped to fit the curve. The second drawer is carved to accent the fall board. Both drawers have original brass handles. The lowest section is an extra tall one with a"blind" door or wood paneled door to prevent breakage from feet. The entire piece sits on a molded base section. Quartersawn oak is showcased through the entire piece which is in excellent condition. I believe this case was made by the Viking Company. Overall dimensions are 34 wide, 15 deep, and 69 high. Although we have sold hundreds of interesting barrister bookcases over the years, we have never seen this model before. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us. There are tiny cracks at some tips of the original wavy leaded glass doors as shown. Some panes rattle when the doors are opened. But we have not attempted restoration to the leading. Three separate banks of shelves adjust on iron pegs. Brass handles are original on this American made antique furniture. Detailed moldings. Pair Of C 1900 Leaded Glass Oak Corner Book Cases
Fantastic c 1900 oak leaded glass bookcases. These are meant to fit in a corner. They come with 8 shelves and 16 wooden shelf supports. These are gorgeous and priced to sell. Pickup only in Lancaster ohio. As long as you pay promptly we are flexible on when you pickup. Two pane in the leaded glass are broken on one door. A trim piece from one end is missing on the other bookcase and one shelf notch is long gone but otherwise these are fantastic. they do have a moth ball smell as they were stored for many years. Size of larger is 48 7/8" wide, 16.75" deep and 53.5" high. The other is the same height and depth but is only 39" wide. You get both as they are a set.
