Each of lower doors conceals one wood shelf. The upper unit is lighted but the current cord should be replaced. This item is in wonderful antique condition with only minor signs of age appropriate wear as pictured. The original antique bubble glass is free from breaks or damage which is very hard to come by. The backing to the upper unit looks to be lined in a off white colored wall paper and there is a red drip stain to this surface as seen in image#18 on the lower left side. Wear to the finish on one of the shelves can also be seen in image#18. Breakfront measures 92"h x 72"w x 16"d in total. The upper unit measures 56"h x 70"w x 12"d. It has been crafted from burr walnut and smothered in the most exquisite floral marquetry decoration. This bookcase was the work of a master craftsman as the profuse marquetry has been brilliantly executed. It has two glazed doors on top for displaying your favourite books or ornaments. And it retains the original green velvet lining to the interior, the two panelled doors below are ideal for storage, and there are two useful drawers in the centre.
