Uses a hinge/slide system nearly identical to the early Globe system. NO door knob or glass. With a few bottom parts this would drop right onto a Globe or Macey base. As you can see in the last picture a Globe top(or section) fits nicely on top. The Globe top in the picture is NOT included. The bottom board has been broken then nailed back on backwards, it looks bad like it is but simply needs to be flipped and glued. Dimensions: 34 1/2" wide x 16" tall x 13 7/8" deep at the deepest part = the step back board. Condition: Far from mint but excellent for restoration. See pictures. 6 glass-front sections& top of stacking bookcase made by Macey& sold by A to Z Business Bureau. Baltimore, MD. 5 sections& top are in fair to good condition. Each section is 11" deep. There are three approx. 13 1/4" high sections, one approx. 11 1/2" high section& one approx 10" high section. The back of the sixth section, approx. 11 1/2" high, is damaged. Up for auction is an antique. Original finish, quartersawn Oak Globe Barrister bookcase cap. The cap has a rolled edge. It fits all sections that are 11 3/4" deep(both Globe D& Macey. The cap has banded sides. It is 34" wide. The cap has some wear and irregularities in the finish on the top. There are some small flecks of white paint. It is in very nice condition, and will make a great addition to antique bookcase sections. The cap is being sold as shown at no reserve. Selling an Antique Oak Barrister Bookcase made by Macey. Measures 62h x 34w x 11d and has 4 sections in great condition. There is no issue with the Glass. Just a reflection from the flash. I am told the base(pictured) is probably not the original, it is the one I received with the unit. There was a repair made to the top at some point which is highlighted in 2 pictures. Unit originally had lights which were removed. You can see a small slit made at the top, back of each unit to pass a cord thru. Does not affect the unit from the front. The Barrister must be picked up on or before November 11.

ANTIQUE, FULLY MARKED MACEY BARRISTER LAWYER MISSION BOOKCASE, OAK
For your consideration is a gorgeous. Quarter sawn, I believe tiger oak barrister or lawyer bookcase with a beautiful base. All original finish and glass. It maintains it's original brass side bands which have darkened with age. This piece has 3 sections which are larger than a lot of barristers, therefore this particular one can accommodate larger books. The first section will accommodate 12" in height books. The 2nd 9" and finally the 3rd will hold 11 1/2" in overall height books. Dates to the late 1800"s. We purchased this 25 years ago at a wonderful antique shop in rural Ohio. We are downsizing so time for someone else to enjoy this treasure! Great to use in a bedroom to showcase personal treasures as well as using it as a bookcase. early 20th century oak Barrister's bookcase section, NR
This is one section of a barrister's bookcase which dates from the late 19th century or early 20th. It came along as an unsuitable addition to a barrister's bookcase that I bought for myself. And since it did not actually fit that bookcase I naturally separated it, and now have no use for it. So it's offered here starting low and with no reserve, cause it's just taking up space and I want it out of here. Note that this is a pickup only item, since it would be a lot of work to ship it for not much money. If you really want it shipped, contact me and we might be able to work something out for a higher price. It's in useable though not perfect condition; enlarge the photos for more detail about that.
