This superb antique bookcase comes apart for moving using large bolts similar to bed bolts. Solid mahogany. Beveled glass doors and quality of carving are indicative of pieces out of the AH Davenpot/ Irving& Casson shop. Brass hardware complete and all original. One shelf is a replacement. A very fine antique. Circa 1890's, solid mahogany two door china cabinet with center door display cabinet. One piece construction. The massive cabinet has steam pressed molded cornice, door frames, rosettes, and base skirt, the cornice center with stained compo scallop shell and scrolls. The three door frames have beveled glass, three brass escutcheons, lock, and a key. The three original door knobs are missing. The side cabinets each have three stationary removable mahogany shelves, the center cabinet with three stationary removable glass shelves backed by a full mirror. The sides of the case have a beveled glass panel. It measures 7'5" 86" wide by 5'3" 63" tall by 21" deep, the shelves 13-1/2" deep.
