Beautiful 2 piece golden oak bookcase or hutch circa 1890. The overall measurements are 81" tall. 48 3/4" wide, and 18 1/2" deep. The top portion measures 45 1/2" wide, 12 1/2" deep at the crown, 9 1/2" deep at the doors, and 45" tall. As you can see in the photos it has a lot of storage space. None of the contents are included with the bookcase. The top portion has 2 glass doors and 2 shelves. The lower section has 2 solid doors and 1 shelf. In between is a large drawer. Fine heavily carved oak 2 door French bookcase----14775
This is a superb oak French bookcase. Circa 1885. Some very fine carving all over this piece with leafs, berries, flowers, etc. in an overall organic motif. Sometimes called a hunt board by some dealers. Interior has been covered by the previous owner in reddish material; I have left it on as he looks nice but can be removed if you like. Three shelves are all movable on this two piece cabinet. Drawer pulls are carved integral to the drawer fronts. Note the bottom doors are different carvings from each other in heavy relief(shelf in bottom section) Carvings on this piece are in excellent condition with just the expected minor rub or loss. Beautiful finish which is smooth and even. Overall size of the piece is 45 wide, 92 high, and 22 deep. This fine bookcase/china cabinet is ready to move into your home. Here we have a beautiful Victorian Oak Bookcase with double doors. 2 drawers at the base with an ornate backsplash with shelf. The bookcase has brass pulls and hardware, with frosted windows at the top with applied fancy scroll work. There is a slight piece missing from the scroll work, also decorated with dental molding around the top. Antique Globe Wernicke barrister bookcase mode; 299. With 4 sections(D8, 2 x D10, D12) top, and legs. I believe it is from the early 1900's. This is a restoration project, one d10 has a broken glass, the door hardware on all will needs some cleaning and tweaking, one iron band is starting to detach, the veneer inside is damaged in one or two pieces, top is delaminating, the base is broken and other minor problems. Eill also need a thorough cleaning and possibly a stain refinish. It is made of oak, a few pieces look like tiger oak, the existing finish is very dark. A very fine antique. Circa 1890's, plain oak two glass door bookcase, with steam pressed scroll designs. There is a beveled glass mirror on the back crest, with two nicknack shelves spindle supported. There are four original oak adjustable shelves, one with plate groove. Doors include the original brass pull and lock, no key. The left glass door panel is original wavy, the right panel is new glass. Bookcase measures 6'4" 68" tall by 13-1/4" deep, the shelves 10-3/4" deep, by 3' 36" wide. Excellent condition: oak boards without chips or cracks, unworn original finish. Mirror has some backing cloudiness, all glass without damage.

Beautiful antique golden solid quartersawn oak card file storage box. Made by the Weis Manufacturing Company of Monroe. Michigan in the late 1800s. The Weis label shows some wear but is readable. This case measures 15 1/4" wide x 15" deep x 6 3/8" high. The drawers measure 6 3/4" wide x 14 1/4" long x 5 1/8" high. Inside drawer measurements are 6" wide x 13" deep x 2 3/4" sides) high. The outer box constructed of 5/8" thick oak and uses the barefaced housing joint in assembly for strength. Drawer fronts are also oak and the drawers themselves are constructed of beech or birch. Please note that the pulls on the front do not match each other. That was how it was found. Original rubber feet on bottom to prevent marring furniture and keeps box from sliding around. Box was refinished with several ... morecoats of MinWax Satin Varnish and hand-polished with 0000 steel wool and paste-wax to a soft luster. Levers on adjustable metal holders are missing. But still stay in place when moved. All joints are solid. No cracks or splits in the wood. Some scratches and marks from age. No reserve! The Weis Binder Company was launched in the 1800s in Toledo. Ohio by the Weis brothers. Later it became known as the Weis Manufacturing Company and re-located to Monroe, Michigan. A factory complex was constructed between 1905-1912 in Monroe. When completed in 1912. The complex consisted of three main buildings for a total of 120,000 square feet and employed 300 people. From 1912-1963, the company produced office furniture, accessories and equipment. In 1963 the company was acquired by the Globe-Wernicke Company and from that point on their products were sold under the Globe-Weis name. Beautiful antique quartersawn golden oak card file storage box. Made by the Globe Manufacturing Company maker of Barrister bookcases and other modular office furniture. The gold foil Globe label shows some wear. But is very readable. This case measures 14" wide x 17 1/4" deep x 5 1/2" high. The drawers measure 5 3/4" wide x 16 1/2" long x 4" high. Inside drawer measurements are 5 1/8" wide x 15 1/2" long x 3 1/2" sides) high. The outer box constructed of 3/4" thick oak and uses a lap joint in assembly for strength. Drawer fronts are oak and the drawers themselves are dark red painted metal. Paint appears to be original and has a fair amount of scraching and scuffing. But no rust. The sliders are copper plated like the pulls. Brass drawer pulls are also original. Original rubber feet on bottom ... morewere replaced with new matching ones. Box was refinished with several coats of MinWax Satin Varnish and hand-polished with 0000 steel wool and paste-wax to a soft luster. All joints are solid. Some joint movement on the sides of the box(see pictures) but integrity is intact. Some scratches and marks from age. No reserve!
