$35.00 Shipping Condition: Used Location: Friendswood, United States We are pleased to offer this beautiful antique barrister bookcase. This is made by the Globe Wernicke Company. This is model# 299 and there are two sections ... morethat are D 10 1/4 and two sections that are D 12 1/4' There is a sticker on the back wall of all of the sections. The assembled piece measures 63.25" high and has a width of 34" and a depth of 12" This is the standard style with plain glass doors made from quarter sawn oak. This still has the original felt at the tops in between the sections. There is one section that is missing a piece that is about 2.5-3" wide. It also has the original brass hardware. This came from a Fitchburg. MA estate and has been in the same family since the original purchase in the early 1900's. There are some age appropriate splotches in the finish and light age and use associated scratches and dings. There are paint specks on the base and there is a small piece of wood missing from the front. There is a split on the side of the top section as seen in the picture. Therre is also a burn in the wood. One of the brackets has some light rust on it and three of the knobs are replacements. There are two screw holes in one panel that it appears someone had attached something to it. This is a previously owned item and is being sold as shown. Please view photos carefully and feel free to ask questions. Returns are accepted only if item is not as described within 14 days of delivery confirmation. This is a restoration project, one d10 has a broken glass, the door hardware on all will needs some cleaning and tweaking, one iron band is starting to detach, the veneer inside is damaged in one or two pieces, top is delaminating, the base is broken and other minor problems. Eill also need a thorough cleaning and possibly a stain refinish. It is made of oak, a few pieces look like tiger oak, the existing finish is very dark. Globe Wernicke Antique Oak Barrister 3 Section Bookcase With Wood Roller Shades
A golden oak Globe Wernicke barrister three stack bookcase. It measures 47 1/2" tall. 34" wide, 12" deep. It is stamped Globe Wernicke with patent dates, late 1800's. The glass and hardware are all original. On the inside top back there is a wood roller shade on each cabinet. They come in and out easily. If you want to add fabric, they can be shades again. This is for a late 1800's globe wernicke. My great great uncle bought this for his law firm and after many years passed it down the line. well here it is my turn and sad to say i have no room in my apartment and i am the last child in the family around here. well here what you will be getting: 7 sections* 4 glass front stacking bookcases) 1 in a size standard D 8 1/2" inch tall. 2 in a Standard D 10 1/4" tall, and 1 in a D 12 1/4" tall(1 top piece, standard size) 1 desk with key to lock the desk which holds several different size cubbies) 1 drawer) all sections are in original condition glass included. all measurements are 77"high x 34" wide x 11" deep. Original Bookcase Knob This knob was removed from a Wernicke Elastic barrister bookcase. It's from the short era when Wernicke was based in Grand Rapids. Knob is smaller than what they used after the merger with Globe. The knob pictured is the knob you will receive. Knob is just like it was removed and has not been cleaned. I know it's an original because I am the person who removed it from the bookcase. Dimensions: 1/2" diameter top. 1/4" diameter base. Protrudes 1/2" Condition: Nice. Has not been cleaned or polished. The mounting lag may be a little bent. See pictures. Email if your looking for particular parts for stackers. Early Antique Original GLOBE WERNICKE BOOKCASE KNOB Cast Iron Pre 1900 style
Offered here is a rare early Cast Iron Globe Wernicke bookcase knob. Which I believe is from the late 1800's and is possibly the earliest style used on their bookcases. Typically when I see these they were used two on each door, and often they are missing. I have one other matching one which I will offer to the winning bidder if they need it and we can do a buy-it now through eBay. The knob measures 1 1/16th" long by 5/8" wide and 9/16" tall.
