The ... morelectern rack is missing the single piece of wood of bottom molding. The lectern opens and closes as desired. It has a gadroon edge. It is finished in a dark walnut stain. I think the wood could be walnut the more I look at it in this dark finish. The overall size is 21 inches square and 35 inches high overall. Each section is 10 inches wide, 7 inches deep, 11 inches high and 12 inches high on the bottom shelf. It is missing a few of the brass tacks, but overall it is complete. The bottom of one of the sections has a crack and oval stain, which has no effect on the bookcase. Shipping starts at $185 for a driveway delivery in our normal New England delivery area.

French made 1890's in oak. Dimensions, H 91" W 56" D 23" Additional Information, Origin France, Aprox. Age 1880-1900's, Overall Condition Unrestored- Good, Condition Remarks Shows wear from use and age. Old repairs. You have lions heads on the cornice.Fruit carvings down the sides,fish,birds,snake and more. The bookcase comes in two sections.The top section has beveled glass doors that open up to three levels of shelves. Below that you have the carved turned columns that support the top section. The lower section starts with two drawers with brass pulls. Below that you have the two highly carved doors that open for more storage. We do have the keys that lock the doors. It has a burl walnut veneered top with drawer having molding and a carved grapes pull. Below are arched glass doors with locks and a key that operates both locks. At the case corners it has carvings and the case sits on a nicely molded base. There are six adjustable shelves inside with extra supports. The front is intricately hand carved with reliefs of lions, leather, scroll work, and of course the Atlas(Zuess? figures holding up the world. Wood is possibly poplar. It's very soft white wood with original dark stain. Glass is original floated, hence wavy with tiny air bubbles. Two original keys also included. Triple Carved Oak 1895 Antique Bookcase. Leaded Glass Doors. Carved of solid oak about 1895. This triple boockase has original leaded glass doors. Fine quarter sawn oak has an excellent deep finish. There are tiny cracks at some tips of the original wavy leaded glass doors as shown. Some panes rattle when the doors are opened. But we have not attempted restoration to the leading. Three separate banks of shelves adjust on iron pegs. Brass handles are original on this American made antique furniture. Detailed moldings. A very fine antique. Circa 1890's, solid mahogany, and stripped mahogany veneers, double door bookcase. The case has curved front corners carved with spiraling acanthus leaves. Large carved claw feet are on front. The case sides and the top board are solid mahogany. Each door has the original wavy glass panel, brass escutcheons, and the key(the two locks are missing their catch. each compartment holds three adjustable mahogany stained maple board shelves. It measures 56-1/4" tall by 54" wide by 15" deep, the shelves 11-1/4" deep. Excellent condition: beautiful original finish, no chips or cracks to mahogany boards, veneers without chips. The glass panels are undamaged.

Here is a gorgeous solid walnut Empire Revival bookcase from about 1880. Only two shelves are shown in the photos. However, there are four removable/adjustable shelves. The lock sets are original in the door and drawers and there are two keys which fit both. Easy to transport and to break down and set up. This bookcase has the base, the crown and then, basically, a stack of wood to include the two glass doors. You won't find a more impressive bookcase around. Wonderful carved eagles and all out of solid oak. It measures 110" wide. 89" tall and 24" deep.It was found in a German headquarters after the war and was shipped home. I also have the Matching Desk which is also on my store. I am not sure how heavy but It does come apart for shipping and we do have a loading dock. You could drive the wheels off a caddy and you couldn't find a better one.

Antique French Carved Oak Brittany Bookcase Cabinet Cupboard 19th Cent
We are proud to offer a beautiful original French antique cabinet. Circa early to mid 1800s. Gorgeous and intricate carving. Original wavy glass. This is an imposing and substantial piece. It is in a top and bottom section. The bottom is 39 inches tall and 35 inches wide and 20 inches deep. The top shelves are 48 inches tall and 43 inches at the widest point(including molding) and 12 inches deep. Overall. It is 87 inches(7 feet, 3 inches) tall and 35 inches wide and 20 inches deep at its extremities. Condition is very good for a piece nearly 200 years old. In certain places you can still see the square-headed nails used in its construction. Of note: The bottom door is stable but can benefit from a re-hinging. There appears to have been a recent(in the last 20-30 years) attempt to re-hinge. Causing a chip in the wood. This can be readily repaired ... moreand we do have the missing chip that can be re-glued. There very top board(above the shelves) is missing. This is not evident unless you open the case and look inside and can be very easily remedied with a painted board. Two small strips of decorative molding at the base are missing(one is lost. The second has fallen off and can be re-applied) Again, given the small size and dark color, not something that is readily evident. The lock is a bit stubborn and might use some oiling. A most unusual antique. Circa 1890's, quartersawn oak three door china cabinet(may be used as a bookcase) with a base compartment across for linens. One piece construction. The three doors open to a compartment that has five adjustable shelves across. There is a key for the doors with brass escutcheons(the left door is missing the lock. The cornice, upper door frames, and the base front, are deeply carved. It measures 6'8" 80" tall by 5'5" 65" wide by 22" deep, the plate grooved shelves 5-1/2" deep. Very good plus condition: original finish, oak boards without damage(horizontal crack to the very top board. All three original wavy glass panels are fine.

A very fine antique. Circa 1880's, solid walnut three doored bookcase with walnut gallery, having classical ornaments. One piece construction. There are three bookcase doors over two drawers and a doored compartment with beautiful carved leafy rosette. The original wavy glass door panels open to three interiors with eleven adjustable walnut fronted maple shelves. The doors retain their locks, the original door handles with escutcheon removed and replaced with round brass knobs. The bottom drawers retain the fancy brass pulls with lock and escutcheon. The secondary woods are maple. Bookcase measures 5'11" 71" tall by 4'8" 58" wide by 16" deep, the shelves 10-3/4" deep.
