I assume ... morethey did this so they would know which drawer went with which desk, and does not allude to who made the desk. I got this from my wife's uncles estate. He was 96 when he passed and he got this desk from his parents estate in Spokane Wa. when they passed. It is made from solid oak and on the ends of the top board you can see that the top is tongue and grooved. Very hard to show in the pictures. I don't know tiger oak from quarter sawn oak so you be the judge. There is some what appears to be grey paint on one corner of the top. please see pictures. Someone drove 2 finish nails about 2' long into the top of one of the legs. One leg has a chip out of it at the bottom about the size of a quarter and another leg has a little grey paint at the bottom of one side. See pictures. I have made no attempt to repair. Clean or restore the finish on this desk, it is in the condition it was given me in. All in all this desk is in great vintage condition given its age. Top of desk 36 1/2" wide x 24 1/2" deep and the desk top is 29 1/2" above the floor. Will ship via Greyhound Bus to a station of your choice for you to pick up. And a clever roller latch/ throw bolt system at the top/bottom of both doors. When the right door is opened, the left is simultaneously released. When the right door is shut it forces the throw bolts on the left door to extend into the wood frame at the top and bottom, securing both doors shut. Size: 31.5" wide. 11.25" deep, 47.5" tall on casters. Model 340. Most examples of this form I've seen are 34" wide, this one is 31.5" Great size for fitting in many spots within the home. Limberts Furniture Salesman Trade Card Grand Rapids Holland Arts Crafts Limbert
This is a very Unique Salesman Trade Card from the Limbert Furniture Co. in Grand Rapids and Holland. It is an actual piece of nicely quarter-sawn oak used as the card that measures 2 3/4" x 5 1/2" x 1/8"thick. The Limberts Arts Crafts Furniture Trade Mark Made in Grand Rapids and Holland is branded in the wood. These might have been distributed at a trade show to promote their line of Mission Oak Furniture by showing the actual wood grain and finish. This piece is in Very good condition it is all original. No cracks or damage. The center of the branding is not worn off it just never imprinted. A nice rare antique piece of Grand Rapids. MI Arts& Crafts furniture industry history.

There is some pitting where the stand has experience d some corrosion& iron build-up at front of base at the front bottom rim and the two front adjoined feet(please see close-up pic included of front of base provided for your inspection of this feature) There is some expected wear to surfaces and to cast iron f inish of stand commensurate with age. There are no other significant areas of rust or corrosion. Stand is solid and intact and sound(see pics of front base and of stand) The design of the"Bradley& Hubbard" stand i s taken from the Victorian-era& the period& design of the'Arts& Crafts" Movemen t with a spiral center rod and round finial-top and the angular and Mission-style geometric form of the base and arms(see pics) The stand comes with 3 tools which fit onto the stand to compl ete the fireplace furniture set-these 3 tools are not from the Bradley& Hubbard Co. but I believe create a nice blending and marriage of cast iron fireplace

Aloha'Oe ~ a most unusual piece by Shapland& Petter of Barnstaple. Devon. The Shakespearean backboard bears King Henry's name and is quoting The Prince of Wales: King Owain Glyndŵr the IV(1354-1416) The"SHE" is referring to Princess Catrin of Wales(d.1413) Catrin. Like Liliuokalani, was a musically gifted female monarch from a tiny island kingdom. Both musical prodigies were unjustly stigmatized as*barefooted traitors. Both were robbed of their thrones and both were imprisoned at royal palaces.The presumed gifter is Buckingham Palace(Queen Victoria) but the most exciting thing about the piece is that Liliuokalani's never-before-seen musical notations can be found on the interior ... moreshelving! Ownership is as follows: 1891 ~ HM Queen Victoria 1891-1893 ~ HM Queen Liliuokalani 1893-2006 ~ President Sanford B. Dole. The Overthrowers and their descendants(113 yrs. 2006-2013 ~ Private Estate Condition: The podium had been stored in the dark& away from children for more than*100 years so the rich mahogany finish is in remarkable condition. We note minimal dings& scratches and a chip on one leg. The back molding that holds the two metal panels in place has been hastily removed& partially put back and the royal blue fabric that highlights the crowned-bird panel is likely replacing a piece of broken slag glass. Historical accounts of the overthrow suggest this damage occurred in 1895 when. While attempting to try her for treason, soldiers tore the imprisoned queen's furniture apart searching for hidden documents. A 19th century sketch of the podium describes the metal adornments as having an oxidized-silver finish. Typically, years of polishing wear-away silver but in this case Liliuokalani could well-have had the silver removed to better match the gold decor in The Blue Room or Gold Room(The Music Room) at Iolani Palace. Wonderful Mission Arts& Crafts Style Bookcase! Quarter sawn white oak with a warm patina finish. This bookcase has through tenons and pegging. Pegging on all the four corners of the doors and on the bookcase itself. Hammered copper pulls with locking doors. These pulls are patterned from the original designs of Gustav and Leopold Stickley. This is the same cast copper hardware that has been re-issued by the Stickley Company. These pulls duplicate the hand-hammered texture of the originals and are finished to a warm, glowing patina. Screws are new old stock all flat blade and no zinc coating. Three fixed shelves and the bottom are all 1" thick. Twelve individual panes of glass in each door. Dimensions are 49" wide, 13" deep and 57" high. Charles Limbert Quarter-Sawn Oak Rocker in very good condition. The chair measures 34" tall. 26 1/2" wide, and 29" deep. Pegged throughout. Wood has a nice patina. The cushion is original, but the tag is loose from the cushion. Someone tried to reapply it with tape. The leather is new reupholstered. The rocker has a stamped sign under the bottom of the left arm. It is well worn and hard to see. The last 2 photos are the original tag from the cushion and the marking on the arm. In beautiful condition.
