Knob width at the TOP DIAMETER is 1 3/16" TOTAL KNOB HEIGHT is 7/8" BASE WIDTH IS 1/2" These are the correct size and profile for the drawer bases for Globe Wernicke® and Macey stack units(although they work great for Gunn, Lundstrum, Weis, Danner and others as well) There were at least 8 different styles of knobs. This style was the most prominent and the best made of the 4 cast versions. It is made of polished brass and then aged to match your original knobs. 54604 ANTIQUE 1880s EASTLAKE WALNUT STEP BACK 2 DOOR & 2 DRAWER BOOKCASE W CREST
A very fine antique. Circa 1880's, solid walnut step back double door bookcase over two drawers. Two part construction. The bookcase is decorated with a pierced carved crest, the case with burl walnut accents. Both doors have the original wavy glass, lock, and key. They open to two compartments each with adjustable walnut stained maple shelves, the back boards in a stained hardwood. The drawers have fancy brass pulls, walnut escutcheons, and their locks. The furniture measures 7"10" 94" tall by 4'5" 53" wide by 21" deep, the shelves 9-1/4" deep by 22-1/2" wide. Excellent condition: walnut in the original finish, minor short shrinkage crack to left and right side bookcase boards, no chips to burl veneers. All four glass door panels without damage.

Antique Late 1800s Refinished "Weis" Solid Oak 2-Drawer Card File Case.
Beautiful antique golden solid quartersawn oak card file storage box. Made by the Weis Manufacturing Company of Monroe. Michigan in the late 1800s. The Weis label shows some wear but is readable. This case measures 15 1/4" wide x 15" deep x 6 3/8" high. The drawers measure 6 3/4" wide x 14 1/4" long x 5 1/8" high. Inside drawer measurements are 6" wide x 13" deep x 2 3/4" sides) high. The outer box constructed of 5/8" thick oak and uses the barefaced housing joint in assembly for strength. Drawer fronts are also oak and the drawers themselves are constructed of beech or birch. Please note that the pulls on the front do not match each other. That was how it was found. Original rubber feet on bottom to prevent marring furniture and keeps box from sliding around. Box was refinished with several ... morecoats of MinWax Satin Varnish and hand-polished with 0000 steel wool and paste-wax to a soft luster. Levers on adjustable metal holders are missing. But still stay in place when moved. All joints are solid. No cracks or splits in the wood. Some scratches and marks from age. No reserve! The Weis Binder Company was launched in the 1800s in Toledo. Ohio by the Weis brothers. Later it became known as the Weis Manufacturing Company and re-located to Monroe, Michigan. A factory complex was constructed between 1905-1912 in Monroe. When completed in 1912. The complex consisted of three main buildings for a total of 120,000 square feet and employed 300 people. From 1912-1963, the company produced office furniture, accessories and equipment. In 1963 the company was acquired by the Globe-Wernicke Company and from that point on their products were sold under the Globe-Weis name. The gold foil Globe label shows some wear. But is very readable. This case measures 14" wide x 17 1/4" deep x 5 1/2" high. The drawers measure 5 3/4" wide x 16 1/2" long x 4" high. Inside drawer measurements are 5 1/8" wide x 15 1/2" long x 3 1/2" sides) high. The outer box constructed of 3/4" thick oak and uses a lap joint in assembly for strength. Drawer fronts are oak and the drawers themselves are dark red painted metal. Paint appears to be original and has a fair amount of scraching and scuffing. But no rust. The sliders are copper plated like the pulls. Brass drawer pulls are also original. Original rubber feet on bottom ... morewere replaced with new matching ones. Box was refinished with several coats of MinWax Satin Varnish and hand-polished with 0000 steel wool and paste-wax to a soft luster. All joints are solid. Some joint movement on the sides of the box(see pictures) but integrity is intact. Some scratches and marks from age. No reserve!
