This is a very nice dutch style bureau bookcase. lts a copy of an original bookcase. But very well made with satinwood marquetry all over. lt comes in two parts so it is easy to transport. Measurements are 44 wide. But the legs at the front stick out a little more which is then is 50 wide. The inside of the top is 27 high 40 wide 9 deep. And has an adjustable shelf.The oust side of the top is 11 deep. The base is 25 deep and height is 85. And the drawers are dovetail joints.

This is solid wood. And I am 99% sure that it is Teak hardwood from Thailand. This is a bookcase with two sides of shelves side by side. One side has a fold down desk top and a pull out drawer that locks- including the brass hardware and keys in still working order. There is some minor damage to various pieces. The hinges are bad on the fold down desk I am pretty sure, but as far as I know it will go back together. There is blue painters tape on the pieces saying where they are supposed to go- on the right or left side, top, bottom or middle. There are 5 tall pieces and 1 tall flat back piece. And about 25 shelf pieces. I am not sure if this goes together as one bookcase or two bookcases. I think that all the parts are there. The cabinet is approximately 48" wide x 78" tall x 17" deep. I thought it was a wall mounted unit, but looking at it closer, it could be wall mounted, but it never been mounted to a wall. It's a neat little unit. The shelves are higher in the front and slant lower to the back, which makes the books stay back in the shelves. As you see, it looks great up against a wall, but by either adding mounts on the back or drilling a couple of holes, it would make a neat wall mounted unit. Each shelf has a"backstop" across the back to keep books for sliding through. This one is in overall good condition without any rot or worm damage. Unique, antique, English prayer book bookcase
This is an absolutely fabulous piece. Imported from a church in England. Solid wood. Probably oak. It makes a great display piece(as shown) it would be an adorable single bed head board(talk about a princess bed) and it's a beautiful conversation piece. And of yes, it would make a super bookcase!
