Measures 34 1/4” wide X 11 3/4” deep X 53” high. The top section will hold books up to 11” high. The remaining lower sections are taller and will accommodate books up to 12 3/4” high. Folks, We have had many Danner Revolving Bookcases over the years. But this treasure appears to be one of the earliest made, 1870's-1880's. This solid tiger oak piece is signed with the stenciled"Danner Trade Mark" AND.under the bottom section there is a partial. But legible oval paper label that reads"Paine Furniture Company" The Paine Furniture Company was founded in Boston in 1835! They were a manufacturer. But by 1872 they also retailed other fine furniture from other companies(Danner was one) This bookcase has large and very fancy hobnails that I've only seen once before.possibly a special order from the Paine Furniture Company. Antique Tiger Oak Empire Period Magazine Book Rack Very Nice over a hundred year old. The two ends are make from Quarter Sawed Tiger Oak. Tiger oak is most likely caused from the swaying of large oak tree in the wind. The tiger effect is seen when the lumber is sawed with a more expensive sawing layout called quarter sawing. Only some of the board that are quarter sawed will show the tiger effect. 15 1/2" high x 14" wide x 8" in width. Very one of a kind. Very hard to find a Magazine rack in an Empire Period piece. Fantastic Bookcase It is with a heavy heart that I am parting with my favorite piece of furniture. This is a great bookcase and it is in exceptional condition. I never thought I would sell. But I am going with a larger one. This is a turn of the century piece, more likely about 1880's, not positive. There are two nicks on the top. One I show in the photo's the other is not really visible due to location. Rock solid piece, glass is great, shelves sit sturdy with no rocking. Drawers work well. Shelves are adjustable to any dimension you would want basically. This is a very. Very nice piece and I have only good things to say about it. Fabulous Arts & Crafts Antique Tiger 1/4 Oak Large Mantel Shelf
This listing is for an absolutely GORGEOUS long antique shelf. Oak is ALL tiger quartersawn wood. The entire shelf is oak and it's in wonderful condition with no damage. It came right off my own wall. It has sawtooth molding along front with no breakage or damage. It has two graceful brackets. Top is lovely and has a small oak edge strip to keep things from falling off. Measures 41" long and shelf top is 7" deep. Height is about 9" It would be ideal as a fireplace mantel because of the substantial length. Though I've used it to hold pottery and more substantial items. Grain is beautiful. I have always hung from two picture hangers wall. Has brackets on back for hanging which are new and strong. It's large but not so heavy that it is hard to manage.
