$35.00 Shipping Condition: Used Location: Friendswood, United States We are pleased to offer this beautiful antique barrister bookcase. This is made by the Globe Wernicke Company. This is model# 299 and there are two sections ... morethat are D 10 1/4 and two sections that are D 12 1/4' There is a sticker on the back wall of all of the sections. The assembled piece measures 63.25" high and has a width of 34" and a depth of 12" This is the standard style with plain glass doors made from quarter sawn oak. This still has the original felt at the tops in between the sections. There is one section that is missing a piece that is about 2.5-3" wide. It also has the original brass hardware. This came from a Fitchburg. MA estate and has been in the same family since the original purchase in the early 1900's. There are some age appropriate splotches in the finish and light age and use associated scratches and dings. There are paint specks on the base and there is a small piece of wood missing from the front. There is a split on the side of the top section as seen in the picture. Therre is also a burn in the wood. One of the brackets has some light rust on it and three of the knobs are replacements. There are two screw holes in one panel that it appears someone had attached something to it. This is a previously owned item and is being sold as shown. Please view photos carefully and feel free to ask questions. Returns are accepted only if item is not as described within 14 days of delivery confirmation. We document all possible damages and issues with items in our listings to avoid returns. Item must be returned in same condition as shown in photos and documented in listing. It is an unusual cabinet/bookcase in a classical design. The cabinet has carved black walnut and burled walnut doors in the front of the bookcase. This is a beautiful golden oak victorian bookcase circa 1880. The bookcase has 2 glass doors. 4 adjustable shelves, and 2 storage drawers at the base. The drawers have the nice original hardware including key eschusions and locks although there is no key. However the doors doesn't have the key eschusion but has the lock and the working key. The same key does not fit the doors and drawers. The bookcase is a nice size. It measures 70 1/2" tall, 36" wide, and is 13 1/2" deep at the top 12" deep at the shelves and 15" deep at the base. The original beveled mirror on the top backsplash is 10 1/2" x 6 1/2" oval and has a smoky appearance. There is nice trim around the doors. The bookcase is a little loose from side to side but by no means in bad shape. It is very useable without any repair. Email with any ... morequestions. English 1870 Antique Mahogany Bookcase. Wavy Glass Doors, Adjustable Shelves. Item# C-19845. Hand crafted in England about 1870. This mahogany bookcase has old wavy glass panes in the doors. The finish is in excellent condition on figured mahogany with pine sides. There are numerous shrinkage separations from age and mars at the edges for antique character. There is a warp to the right door. See photos. Shelves adjust by sliding into slots. Below the pull out shelf, drawers have tiny hand cut dovetail joints on this historic furniture. Hardware is solid brass. The lock in the upper door works with a key. The upper section is a separate piece for easier moving. Measurements are 50" wide. 19" deep and 6' 8" tall.
