This is model# 299 and there are two sections ... morethat are D 10 1/4 and two sections that are D 12 1/4' There is a sticker on the back wall of all of the sections. The assembled piece measures 63.25" high and has a width of 34" and a depth of 12" This is the standard style with plain glass doors made from quarter sawn oak. This still has the original felt at the tops in between the sections. There is one section that is missing a piece that is about 2.5-3" wide. It also has the original brass hardware. This came from a Fitchburg. MA estate and has been in the same family since the original purchase in the early 1900's. There are some age appropriate splotches in the finish and light age and use associated scratches and dings. There are paint specks on the base and there is a small piece of wood missing from the front. There is a split on the side of the top section as seen in the picture. Therre is also a burn in the wood. One of the brackets has some light rust on it and three of the knobs are replacements. There are two screw holes in one panel that it appears someone had attached something to it. This is a previously owned item and is being sold as shown. Please view photos carefully and feel free to ask questions. Returns are accepted only if item is not as described within 14 days of delivery confirmation. We document all possible damages and issues with items in our listings to avoid returns. Item must be returned in same condition as shown in photos and documented in listing. Uses a hinge/slide system nearly identical to the early Globe system. NO door knob or glass. With a few bottom parts this would drop right onto a Globe or Macey base. I have sold a lot of Danner sliding door bookcases over the years but this is the first time I have ever had a matching pair of 3 stack cases. I believe these quartersawn oak cases have been together since leaving the factory in in Ohio in the early part of the 20th century. In super original condition-we have carefully waxed each section and they look truly beautiful with a smooth and even finish. All twelve of the sliding doors operate easily and all have their original(wavy) glass. Note the beading work along the top of each case. They all also contain their original adjustable oak shelves. Made in Europe Circa 1890 Carved oak Stunning carvings Pair Slight differences Strong and sturdy Excellent overall condition, Here we have a very hard to find pair of antique carved oak bookcases. They were made in Europe sometime around 1890 of solid oak. Today they remain in excellent condition with only two minor cosmetic issues that have been pictured. There is a small break to one of the mouldings and an age separation on one of the side panels. The pair is strong and will last for many years. There are slight differences between the two bookcases ... morethat are hard to notice unless you are looking for them. The left bookcase is slightly darker than the right. The carvings are also slightly different in spots which we have tried to captivate in the photos. However. These differences serve to make the bookcases more a unique pair than separate them. Both the upper doors and lower doors on the bookcases lock and there are four keys included. The wooden shelves in the upper sections are adjustable and quite strong. The bookcases break down into two parts each(top and bottom) for easier transporting. This is a rare Victorian era pair antique bookcases in carved oak. Both bookcases open to reveal large storage areas with shelves. The alligator brackets provide strong. Versatile shelf support. These carved columns differ slightly but complement each other very well. Again these carvings differ slightly. But together they look complete. This close up shows the level of detail in the intricate door carvings. The oak wood has a lovely patina and the hand carvings are very well done.
