Here are three maple soapberry spoons from the northwest coast. These spoons date from the 1880s and are wonderful examples of this type of delicate spoon. ... moreSoapberry are round berries that ripen in the early summer. When mixed with equal amounts of berries and water they can be whipped into a foam not so much different than whipped egg whites. The tribes would mix this with different things and eat it like ice cream. These have a worm and used feeling to them from years of use. The grain of the maple wood that they were carved from is beautiful. Please see pictures for length. Enjoy!

Bronze ... moreDimensions with Marble Base:Height 19" x Width 9" Marble Dimensions:6 1/2" X 5 1/2" Height without base: 18" Weight:9 LBS Inventory: 63-97082NA36 A fierce Native American women prepares to Dance. She stands tall with bravery. Silent confidence and stunning beauty on a grassy hill top. Her full eagle-feather and beaded war bonnet covers her head. The feathers round her head, fully extended upright. 100% bronze and handmade, this sculpture was cast using the“Lost Wax Method” and is mounted on a round black marble base. The process of bringing a bronze sculpture to life using the lost-wax method is something you'll appreciate after taking this tour- Enjoy. Here Artist original clay sculpture is nearly ready for the foundry. Note the artist is still adding the finishing touches. Most sculptors prefer to work with clay or wax; some however. Do use wood and other mediums. Here the finished original clay is now complete. The sculptor will take it to the foundry now, get a bid then begin the first stages of the lost wax process. The first step can be shocking for some as they begin to decide how this original will be cut up. In order to prepare the original clay sculpture for molding. It will be dissected by cutting the clay with wire and by cutting the armature with a saw. The armature is what helped support the clay in place while the artist was creating it. Note the registration marks which later in the process will serve to realign the parts. Shown here are the sections of the original clay sculpture after having been dissected. Now the various parts of the original are carefully mounted on clay plugs before the rubber mold material is applied. The clay plug later serves as a pour spout for the mold. As you can see now they begin painting the latex rubber onto the original together with the clay plus that's been added in layers. Notice

NORTH AMERICA. SHEET V. The North West and Michigan Territories Antique steel engraved map with original outline hand colouring(coloring) 1844 Title of ... moremap: NORTH AMERICA. SHEET V. The North West and Michigan Territories' The image below shows an enlarged cross section from the centre of the map to show the level of printed detail: The map was originally engraved in 1833(this date is printed on the map) and it depicts the area shown as at that date. Although this edition was published in 1844. The map names"Michigan Territory" as it existed prior to 1837 when it was admitted to the Union as the state of Michigan. West of Lake Michigan, what is now the US state of Wisconsin is named as"Huron or North West Territory" This area became a territorial possession of the United States in 1783 after the American Revolutionary War. However, the British remained in control until after the War of 1812, which finally established an American presence in the area. An influx of miners into the area led to tension with American Indian tribes. This resulted in the Winnebago War of 1827 and the Black Hawk War of 1832 which led to the forced removal of American Indians from most parts of the state. Following these conflicts, Wisconsin Territory was organized in 1836. Continued white settlement led to statehood in 1848. Indian settlements, villages and tribes existing in 1833 are marked on the map as tipi(teepee) symbols, along with some mines and mineral deposits. The Indian boundary concluded in the second and third Treaties of Prairie du Chien of 1829, in which Native American Tribes ceded land in present day Wisconsin and Illinois, is marked on the map as the"Indian Boundary of 1829" Also marked on the map in the Lower Peninsula of Michigan is the"Indian Boundary" resulting from the 1821 Treaty of Chicago and the 1819 Treaty of Saginaw. Fort Crawford& Chicago are marked on the map. DATE PRINTED: This map was originally published by Baldwin& Cradock in 1833; this date is printed

This eBay listing is for an antique sterling silver figural Native American Indian souvenir spoon that comes as you see pictured in the listing and noted ... moreabove. This souvenir spoon does not say where it's from but does feature an embossed Buffalo standing in a field. The spoon measures 6" tall and features a nude female Indian Princess inside a canoe. From what I read online, the female Native American spoons are the hardest to find. The back is marked Sterling with 1 hallmark. I just picked up 20+ antique sterling silver Native American Indian figural souvenir spoons from a central PA estate auction and will have all the others listed in my ebay store at this time.

A SIGNED ANCIENT NATIVE AMERICAN INDIAN HIDE ARTEFACT. RED INDIANS IN CANOE.
An ancient Native American Indian/ Red Indian artefact which depicts two Native American Indians or Red Indians seated in a canoe. The entire object is made from hide. The faces of the Red Indians are worn with age. Damage to this item is that the Indian in the foreground has one feather missing. There is also a small piece missing from the canoe which is one of the flaps at the side. Please see photo's. Such a shame. Indian artifact possible grindstones grinding rock native american fire starter
I have 2 stones in this listing that may or may not be indian grinding stones. I am pretty sure one is and am not sure about the second. They look like stones used to either start fires or grind in the holes. They were both found in Illinois. The first on measures a little over three inches long. Is roughly triangle shaped and is solid rock. It is almost 2 inches tall. It has two holes, one on each side. The first is 1 inch x 1inch wide and is roughly 1/2 inch deep. The second hole is 1x1 and is about 3/4 inch deep going in at an angle. The second stone is smooth all over. Measures 5 inches long, 3 inches wide and 1 inch tall. It is shaped to be held in the hand, with the bottom being smooth. This is all I know. They were given to me by my grandparents who are passed. I have another auction with another stone please check it out. Posted with
Indian artifact possible grindstone grinding rock native american fire starter
I have a stone that was given to me by my grandparents that they told me was a grinding stone used by Native Americans and they got it in Illinois. I don't know much about it other than that. But also think it might instead be a fire starting stone. It measures 3 inches long. 1.5 inches wide and is 1.5 inches tall. The hole in it is quite smooth and goes at an angle approximately 1 inch deep. Hole is 1x1 I am hoping this can go to a good home. Rock on outside is rough hewn. I am also listing another one so check it out. Posted with
