The smooth operating mechanism works perfectly. It is very petite at only 1 3/4" diameter. The thumb lever is imprinted on both sides. the model type is apparently E10 1/2. that's what is on one side of the thumb lever. the company name'New Departure' is on the other side. New Departure is well known for their bells and metalwork. the company was located in Bristol Connecticut in the 1800's and around the turn of the century. Several photos in the gallery show the bell with the housing off. the mechanism works by centrifugal force. the two heavy washers are spun quickly by the geared cam ... moremovement of the thumb lever. the washers have an enlarged center hole which causes them to expand outward during the spin episode. which causes them to strike the portion of the inner bell housing where there is a raised bar. The copper metal strap(photos#1#2) which goes around the handlebar cannot be original but it seems functional. two machine screws hold it in place. The other side of the strap(steel) is original and permanently riveted to the base. The base and the bell housing and the thumb lever and a few of the internal parts are nickel plated brass and plain brass. Up for bid is one Vintage ABBEY& IMBRIE Nickel Plated Brass Salt Water Reel with 2:1 multiplier gear action. This reel has nickel plated brass body and trim. The plating is in poor condition with surface staining. Oxidation, and brass showing(see photos) There is a clicker controlled by a slide button on the rear plate. It is in good working condition. The handle has what appears to be a hard rubber knob. The face plate is marked with"ABBEY& IMBRIE. N. Y. PAT. OCT.8, 1889" I believe the reel was manufactured by Julius vim Hofe because the referenced Patent Date was issued to Julius vom Hofe(only one fishing related patent was issued that day) The foot has a hole in the center which was something Julius vom Hofe did on his reels, and J. vom Hofe was one of the manufacturers that made reels for ABBEY& IMBRIE. SCARCE Vintage / Antique 'SLATER' Brass & Ebonite Nickel Silver Fishing Reel.
This is a very SCARCE Vintage/ Antique'SLATER' BRASS& EBONITE' Star Back reel. It is un marked. But has the'Slater' Sliding Release Latch and typical'Slater' spring& pawl inside. The back plate has a nickel silver rim which confirms this is a quality reel of its time. The centre drum is made of brass. Overall the reel is in excellent condition except the alloy back spool has some pitting. The ebonite is excellent with no scratches or cracks. And the brass Star Back and check knob are also in magic condition. There is no rubbing when turning the knob and spins many revolutions by itself. It has a check mechanisim and when engaged gives a loud'clicking' sound. The inside check caliper and pawl are also in excellent conditio n. This particular reel dates back to the late 1800's. Vintage KING Model 1305 TEMPO Trombone - Nickel Plated 7-3/8" Bell & Curvy Brace
This is a vintage King Model 1305"Tempo" trombone. This model was kind of an"intermediate" model of its day. But is reputed to be very close in quality and design to that of 2B, a professional model. This trombone has a 7-3/8" nickel plated bell. And straight.491" bore slide with brass outers. Bell is relatively solidly built with fairly thick brass, and the volume capacity is quite high. It has a wonderful sound that can be pushed, but also can be mellow and warm at lower volume. Now for the condition. This horn certainly can use some work to achieve its full potential. The slide movement. I would say, is a 6 out of 10 as is. It is playable, but is not ideal- has some catch/resistance all the way in, as well as around 4th and 5th position. The inner tubes have spots of plating wear(see pictures#7 and#8) Professional ... morealignment and cleaning will make it move much better. The tuning slide bow and the bell stem have some mid-sized dents(pictures#5 and#6) Tuning slide does move freely. Its original case has a hole in it. So I am planning to ship it in a non-original(I think it's Olds) brown coffin style case in good condition(pictured in last two pictures) This case is a pretty good one, and I saw the same case go for more than $100 by itself on ebay just a couple of weeks ago. Up for bid is one vintage TROWBRIDGE Nickel Plated Brass Trout/Fly Reel w/2:1 Multiplier. This reel is brass construction with nickel plating. The plating is worn off almost completely. But there are small amounts remaining. On the face plate it is inscribed with"TROWBRIDGE, BOSTON" There is a clicker controlled by turning the button on the front cover. It works, but it is weak and somewhat uneven in its' workings. It has a lift out drag button on the rim of the front cover. It doesn't seem to add drag to any degree that is noticeable. The handle has a hard rubber knob. The foot is attached in a somewhat messy way and appears to have been refastened at some point. It measures 2-1/4" diameter. 2-7/8" deep including the handle, and has a foot measuring 2-7/8" long by 9/16" wide. On the bottom of the foot ... moreit has"PAT. APL'D. FOR" and"C" inscribed. Up for bid is one Vintage YALE METAL PROD. CO. Nickel Plated Single Action Fly Reel. This reel has a nickel plated brass handle with a wood knob and counterweight. Brass is the base metal on the pillars. Bearing cap, clicker button, and screws. The plating on the body and spool is in good condition with some missing on the back and on the foot(see photos) The base metal on the body and spool is not brass where it shows, it looks more like nickel silver. There is a clicker controlled by a slide button on the rear plate. The clicker is very weak to the point it is barely there. There is no markings identifying the reel as a Yale product. I found a picture of a very similar reel that was marked YALE, and the article explained that the tulip cutouts were generally associated with Yale Metal Products, but in another discussion board it was stated ... morethat the tulip cutout pattern was common on stamped reels from about 1910 to 1935 in the New York region and could also be by Rochester or Union City(competitors of Yale) It measures 2-5/8" diameter. 3-9/16" deep including the handle, and has a foot measuring 2-1/2" long by 5/8" wide. This is an original 1920s heavy brass shell with crimped snare beds& only one extra hole hidden underneath the snare butt.no holes or damage. The shell was recently re-plated by a North Texas Plater that's been in business nearly 50 years. This finish is awesome to behold! The shell& tube lugs were replated& look like they belong behind a jewelry case! The hoops are original nickel-brass Ludwig or Slingerland.as well as the nickel tension rods& brass washers. The hold down clips are a mixture of some nickel& some chrome. The 3-point strainer is chrome plated& has a worn tensioning screw head& some other wear but works smoothly. The base on this lantern as well as the vent are both in nice condition. The chrome on the base is crisp and needs a minor buff and is dent free and the vent paint is nice and also dent free. All the parts function well and the lantern holds pressure nicely. There is some burning on the inside as you can see from the pics and the glass is crisp too. Hand built in USA circa the early 80s this bike features a full cro-moly frame and loads of old school flavor. The bike is in good condition overall although numerous parts have been replaced along it's life making it difficult to identify. Although they may not be the original parts. The four bolt stem, Dominator saddle and rear pegs compliment the bike nicely. The frame is free of major dents, bends or cracks. The nickel finish is in very good shape with minimal marks and scratches. It appears that ... morethe rear wheel was replaced at one point as it is newer and mismatches the front rim and hub. It also seems the decals were replaced at one time as they are more modern logos than were used at the time this bike was manufactured. The bike has new tires. The crank arms were painted blue at one time as well although most of it has worn off. The bike has not been tuned by our shops mechanics so it will need a full tune up before being ready to ride. VINTAGE COLEMAN LANTERN--NICKEL FOUNT-5/1929-SLANT GEN--QUICK LITE/MICA GLOBE
This is a nice collector's specimen of the slant generator Coleman Quick Lite lantern from 1929. May, one of two years this lantern was manufactured and with original mica globe in very nice shape for its age and having no holes. The light corrosion around the band of the mica globe is very minimal and easily polished off. The door slides up freely and can use a little oil if desired. The fount is in very nice shape and zinc bottom has no rust. The nickel fount has a high lustre and would show mirror finish even more prominently upon polishing. The"Sunshine of the Night" logo has the 9 and 5 stamped below designating the date of manufacture. Questions welcome.

Up for bid is one vintage PFLUEGER Nickel Plated Trout/Fly Reel with Clicker. Drag and 2:1 Geared Multiplier, and 80 yard line capacity. The reel has nickel plating over brass. The plating is in fair condition. There is a clicker controlled by a slide button on the back plate. And a second slide button controls drag. It is in good working condition. The handle appears to have a hard rubber knob. It is not marked to as to manufacturer. But the foot design is that used by PFLUEGER. It measures 2-3/16" diameter, 2-11/16" deep including the handle, and has a foot measuring 2-9/16" long by 9/16" wide. On the bottom of the foot the number"80" is inscribed. It weighs 5.6 ounces.
