From the former T. M. Jackson collection. Mosquitobay catalog number 05-02-1115) The set consists of an 8 x 12 inch"riker mount" black box with a removable glass top. And a color map of the Fort Toulouse region showing the general location where the the beads were found. On the right side are two strings of small multiple color glass beads about 2 to 5 mm in diameter totaling about 40 inches in length, all found at the actual site. On the reverse is a well-researched and detailed description of the region’s history including historical ... moremaps of the area, all on photo quality paper inside an archival quality sleeve. The beads in this set all date from the 1700’s to possibly as late as the early 1800’s and include common as well as a few rare types. The beads were excavated on private property with permission from the owner and are all in good condition. With no visible damage. With no provenance or dating information, but they are similar in style to many of the South American artifacts we've had in the past.
