1930's Little Miami Railroad Company stock certificate g8 Ohio / RR collectible
Authentic Little Miami Railroad Company cancelled stock certificate issued in the 1930's. This is a real certificate. Not a copy or reproduction. The certificate has a beautiful vignette of a steam locomotive pulling a passenger railcar with people looking on and woods and a far off town in the background. It also has a smaller vignette on the bottom of a farmer plowing his fields with two horses. The Little Miami was incorporated on March 11, 1836 and its first president, who served without pay, was Jerremiah Morrow, governor of Ohio. It was the second railroad incorporated in the State of Ohio. The LMRR would eventually be purchased by the Pittsburgh, Cincinatti, Chicago and St. Louis RR, which was part of the Pennsylvania RR Company. The Pennsylvania RR would eventually become Penn Central and go into bankruptcy. The remnants of this ... morerailroad would become part of Conrail. As of today, the rails have all been pulled and it is now the Little Miami Bikeway! Certificate would make a fine addition to your collection or a great gift. Stock certificate collecting is becoming increasingly popular due to the historical significance of many of the companies and their increasing rarity. With the advent of electronic trading the issuance of stock certificates has decreased markedly and accordingly should improve the value of these certificates over time. Nice looking certificate and is a great conversation piece of a famous company that eventually evolved into Penn Central. Which prior to current events was one of the largest corporate bankruptcies. The certificate is in great condition for its age. Each certificate has the normal punch cancellation and staple holes. Please review my feedback record and bid with confidence.

Baltimore & Ohio B&O Railroad Co authentic stock certificate monopoly RR!!
Authentic Baltimore and Ohio(B&O) Railroad stock certificate issued in the 1950's and 1960's. This is an original certificate. Not a copy or reproduction. The company was chartered in 1827 and in it's prime its routes ran east to Philadelphia and New York and West to Chicago and St. Louis. The B&O was the oldest US passenger line and is best known as one of the Monopoly game railroad stocks. Abe Lincoln wrote the Gettysburg address on a line bought by the B&O. It became part of the Chessie system(Chesapeake& Ohio and Baltimore& Ohio) which in 1980 became part of CSX transportation. The vignette is of a Tom Thumb train with a harbor scene in the background. The scan does not show the detail of the engraving used to print these certificates. The certificate offered is in Excellent condition- no folds marks(creases) ... moreno stains, no tears. The certificate has the normal punch cancellation and staple holes. Certificate would make a fine addition to your collection. As a framed print or a great gift. Stock certificates are becoming a hot collectible due to the advent of electronic trading which has virtually eliminated the issuance of certificates. Since B&O RR is no longer in existence, these certificates will become increasingly harder to find.
