Mounted Grouping Of 12 Pre Columbian Mayan Shard-Heads Neat & Busts
Very nice grouping of pre columbian early mexico/mayan shards& busts. 11 of the heads are mounted and can be hung from your wall. One is mounted to an acrylic base. Lot of Pre Columbian Artifacts Bowl w/ Animals Cup Figure & Heads Mayan Aztec
Lot of Pre Columbian Artifacts I bought these recently from a local family. Their grandfather collected them in his travels many years ago. They found them all packed together and I do not know what regions they are from. The bowl 7" in diameter and has a few edge chips and a couple hairlines. The design inside shows 2 mythical looking creatures. Suns and geometric patterns. Outside of bowl has surface loss but still shows some designs. Included are 2 small heads, a 4" figure(missing feet) and a small cup. The cup is very thin and has a few chips on edge. Wish I knew more. Please view all enlarged photos. Guaranteed as described. Paracas textiles are among the rarest and most desirable of all Precolumbian textiles. Rivalled, perhaps, only by the finest Wari slit tapestries and some early Nazca pieces. This fragment is complete in itself, and would have formed part of the central field of a large mantle. This particular textile is from the Paracas Cavernas culture, as opposed to the Necropolis. Hi. I have 3 nice ancient artifacts for auction. I purchased these ancient artifacts many years ago from an old collection. The Mayan dead on the right has a great headdress and ear spools. The Veracruz piece in the center has one ear spool missing. My favorite one of this group is on the left. He has great ear spools, hair detail, and some type of head ornament. It has a great patina that makes it look like stone, even feel like it. These would look great mounted with a display. These are nice pieces of history, that now can be yours.
