Amber Depression Glass Pair Of Bowls In Great Condition!! ADDING CAKE PLATE!!
This listing includes one(1) large. Amber glass, scalloped edge bowl& one(1) smaller bowl of the same description. These bowls are OLD! I retrieved them from my 88 y.o. Mom who originally got them from her Mom. I believe it's safe to say they're Depression-Era Glass. The Amber color was also around during that time period. I also believe this to be a disjointed set. I.e. it probably came with or had available a few more small bowls making it a set. See post-script below) The measurements are as follows: large bowl-diameter@ widest pt is about 8" base diameter is about 4 1/2" depth is about 3" Smaller bowl-diameter@ widest pt is about 4 1/4" base diameter is about 2 1/2" depth is about 1 1/2" The condition is very good considering the age. I have noticed some minor scratches on the inside bottom of ... morethe larger bowl which os typical but hardly noticeable. There r some manufacturing bubbles but not bad either& also 2 b expected.The scalloping is perfect with no chipping except one. Tiny"flea bite" in the valley of the smaller bowl-it is hardly visible& must be felt to be noticed. If you are a collector of Amber Glass, r looking to complete a set or just like the golden color of this glass then these are for YOU! Please ask all questions before bidding/buying. PayPal only. I was able to find out that these 2 bowls may have been part of a Chip'n Dip set, with the smaller of the 2 bowls suspended above the larger bowl with a sort of wire apparatus.
