Vintage early 1900's Mayan clay Museum Quality Aztec Toltec Idol God figure
Let me start by saying that this item caught my attention and I hope you see what I saw in it. This piece was picked up in an estate sale and is one of the best early 19th century Mayan sculptures made in Mexico that I've seen. The detail in the head dress and body are outstanding. Its made of clay/ terracotta and stands around 8 1/2" tall the darker shades of grey on the head dress and chest seem to be a light grey wash. The top is hollow so you can look inside to see the workmanship. I hope that someone looking for something for their collection like this will take advantage in getting their hands on this fine item. I'm not a historian or anything like that but its a very nice item and a conversation piece. Good luck any questions please email me. Thanks for looking

Ancient Clay Vessel Pot, Human Figure Holding Items , Extensively Repaired
ANCIENT CLAY VESSEL WITH EMBOSSED FIGURE IN VARIOUS ACTIVITIES. EXTENSIVELY REPAIRED AND DAMAGED You are bidding on an ancient pottery vessel. Origin unknown, with a rounded handle and spout and a human figure holding a spear and other objects in panels around the middle of the vessel. It is slightly rounded on the bottom and probably intended to store or carry water or other liquids. The vessel is extensively repaired and glued with one shard still missing from one side and large chips from the rim. The pot is about 11-1/2" tall and 8" in diameter. While the pot is fragile because of the cracks and repairs, it has probably been in that condition for hundreds of years and I think will ship safely with proper packing. PRE COLUMBIAN FIGURE MEXICO FEMALE POTTERY CLAY 7 INCHES AUTHENTIC ANCIENT
PRE COLUMBIAN FEMALE FIGURE POTTERY MEXICO AUTHENTIC ANCIENT This Mexican Pre Columbian pottery female figure is 7 inches high and is possibly a variant of Jalisco or Nayarit but I am not an expert and cannot be sure of the culture. It will not stand by itself and is supported for the photos. Iti s missing an arm. Lower leg and foot and another foot. or whatever it had at the ends of the legs) The arm is complete with no hand just a rounded structure. Ears and nose are abnormally large with the head sloping backwards at an angle. Minute reflective crystaline structures in the clay and dark areas that seem to be manganese deposits. There is a slight chip on the back of the head. This is an authentic figure and not a reproduction and I have had it for over 40 years. Figure would look well mounted and standing upright.

Replica of pre Columbian Statuary clay figure wall hanging pottery
Received this Mexican clay figure in the 1960's brought back by relatives when they vacationed south of the border. It was cast with holes in the back for hanging on the wall. He measures 8.5 inches tall. Is quite heavy thus the extra shipping/handling cost. 16.RcmdId ViewItemDescV4,RlogId p4%60bo7%60jtb9%3Feog4d71f%2B%3E16%3E-14b8b294e64-0x11c-

Pre-Columbian Large Aztec ZOLAPAN CLAY FIGURE, ca; 900-1100 AD
SquareTrade © AP6.0 Here's an unusual Aztec ZOLAPAN STYLE CLAY FIGURE. Ca: 900- 1100 AD found many years ago near the Teotihuacan Pyramids in Mexico's Central Highlands. It's 2 3/4 in. 6.8cm) tall. 1 7/8 in. 4.7cm) wide and 1 1/2 in. 3.7cm) thick. This is a nicely modeled hollow figure having carefully made delicate features, sculptured eyes, nose and mouth. He also wears a large stone"yoke" around the neck, a type worn by ball players! There's a large hole through the chest which was likely made by pushing a stick through the wet clay before firing. This was likely a ritual killing of an image of an enemy, or athletic rival, much like a voodoo killing in a modern context. Zolapan figures were almost always devoid of headdresses and earspools, as is this one. As is it's in excellent condition. It's from ... morethe Joe Magor, Chicago, IL, collection, collected in the 1960's. My Feedback Profile and eBay preferred seller reputation attest to my integrity and honesty. Michoacán figures were typically covered with this red color. There's a site location printed on the back which I can't completely make out. It may be"Cuauhtitlan" which may refer to ... morea Toltec site in western Mexico. It's a nice example of a scarce MICHOACAN figure type.
