4 Stemmed Points, 2 Paleo Points, & Tool Florida Indian Artifact Arrowheads
Four Florida Archaic stemmed points; either Levy. Marion, Newnan, or Putnam types. One is made from coral and has visible polyps on it. It seems one was found on Independance Day in 1977! There is also a very well made knife or scraper tool. The crude white blade may be a transitional Paleo Stanfield blade. The other point has damage to the base but I think it may be Paleo as well. These artifacts were collected from Florida in the 1970s. It was part of a collection that was purchased from an estate. Her late husband collected them along the Miller's River near Athol many years ago! Here's a nice, scarce Mid-Archaic Period(5.000-4,000 yr. old) GENESEE Stemmed Spearpoint(or Knife) from Worcester County. Massachusetts. It's 3 3/8 in. long, 1/2 in. thick, made of weathered gray quartzite with lots of reddish iron mineralization and in excellent condtion.
