Very nice antique looking pot 5 1/2in high purchased at a auction in Durand Michigan. The family collected large amounts of indian axe heads and thousands of arrowheads and a vast collection of very expensive minerals. The 2 pots I purchased were the only examples of pottery there but the family also collected lots of glass(roseville weller ect) they did not collect anything inexpensive so I think this is genuine. This is a very impressive large Pre-Columbian pot from South America. The pot has a foot. A shape with presence, and a surface that almost looks to be metal the way it is crafted. Native American Pottery 1150 - 1300 CE Salado Anasazi Indian Pre Columbian Bowl
Ancient pre columbian Salado Indian red clay smudged bowl. An absolute classic american piece and hard to find. This comes from the Tonto Basin in Arizona. It is a mid sized bowl that has had no repairs and in really amazing shape for its age which dates between 1150- 1300 ce. The rim has no chips and there have been no repairs. There is a small crack however extending from the rim downward. The crack measures 3/4 inches and is visible inside and outside as pictured above. The crack is the only damage on the piece and it is still an excellent artifact. Inside is black smudge. The bowl measures in at about 3 3/4 inches tall X about 7 3/4 inches rim to rim. Antique Tribal American Clay Pottery Pot Vessel Wrapped In Hide Very Old
Hi. Up for grabs here is a very old piece of early American Pottery. As you can see it has 2 chips on the top rim. A diagonal crack around and a vertical crack going to the top rim. It is wrapped in a hide that is gotten hard over the years. It measures about 5 1/2 inches tall and 7 inches in diameter. I have no formal training in this type of artifact and not going to pretend I do but this is a very old piece of pottery and surprising that it is still intact. I pack very well and will be secure, It will be packed expecting the post office to have a quick game of soccer with each parcel before delivery and still be safe!
