ANTIQUE TRUNK EMBOSSED TIN. WOOD, METAL, ORIGINAL INTERIOR Up for auction is a g reat old antique trunk. This trunk is not too large- 26 inches wide. 15 inches deep, 15 inches tall. The interior is lined in calico cotton with a picture of women inside the lid. It is the original interior. There is embossed tin covring the outside. Along with wood slats and metal reinforcing bands. The top is slightly humped and the two(formerly) leather handles are missing from the sides.often the case because the leather degrades. The color is really shades of grey. With brown wood slats. The first picture is too reddish, not quite accurate. The embossed tin is grey with rough patches, evidence of aging. This trunk is in its original antique condition, not refurbished(which I think is preferable to the ones that have painted black metal and are covered with ... morevarnish) As it is now, the trunk has a true authentic appearance, touched by time but untouched by a refinisher! Vintage Metal And Wood Humpback Steamer Trunk Treasure Chest 1800 - 1899
Beautiful Victorian era metal and wood humpback/dome trunk. Appears to be original vintage condition. Floral design on metal and dark cherry color on wood slats. Has metal wheels on bottom for easy moving. Contains the insert storage compartment tray. No key.does not lock. Free local pick up. Leather handles on each side of trunk. Antique Hump Back Steamer Trunk Wood Gold metal decor
Trunk is 32" wide.17.5" front to back, 22" to the highest point. Trunk is painted a gold color. Wood strapping is in good condition. Inside has been covered in a cream velvet with padding. Some of the studs holding the main latch are loose. There are no handles. The bottom is sound. There is no support to hold the top up, I backed it up to a wall for photographing. It is not heavy to carry. Would prefer local pickup, but will ship at your expense.

VINTAGE 1800's Miniature Wood/Metal/Leather Hump Back Trunk/Salesman Sample
Great old vintage hump back trunk in excellent original condition. It has 2 different patent dates on it. One on the center latch and another on the outside latches. It is 18 inches wide, 13 inches tall and 10 1/2 inches deep. One leather side handle is missing the metal piece that goes on the end(see picture) and someone has replaced 2 screws on one of the back hinges.

Antique Wood & Metal Flat Top Trunk- Lots of Hardware- Refinished
Super looking old travel trunk completely refinished. Measures 14" tall; 40 1/2" wide and 22" front to back. Good size for a coffee table- if you need taller could put rollers on bottom or put it on a frame. Has 2 coats of stain; one coat of poly for easy cleaning; new leather handles; new interior wallpaper. At one time it had leather straps all the way around- still has all the hardware but only has bottom part of straps on front. They just seemed to get in the way. Antique Haunted Shwayder Steampunk Steamer Trunk with Contents This is a very unique and rare auction. You are bidding on an antique trunk and its' contents. A trunk with a very unusual story. Several years ago I purchased a rustic. Old cabin built in 1901 in the woods of the Colorado mountains. There is nothing'normal' about this cabin. One day, as I was getting my furnace updated in the crawlspace, the repairman informed me that there might be an older furnace in the depths of the crawlspace. Curiously, I shimmied my way into the tiny area and came across an old steamer trunk. My hairs stood on end. It was closed but not locked. When I cautiously opened it, I found a few things inside but nothing unusual. I brought those items inside, cleaned them up and placed them on a shelf. As time went by I noticed sounds emitting from ... morethe crawlspace. Not thinking anything of it, I continued on with my days. Then, on one unusual day, I was getting my holding tank pumped out by a new crew of men. One of the fellows mentioned that he heard some noise, a banging sound from the crawlspace and asked me what was down there. I remembered the noises I had heard previously but didn't mention it to him. He then asked me if I would be willing to get my cabin tested for paranormal activity. Apparently, this is something he does on the side. Feeling my hairs stand on end I refused his offer as the last thing I wanted to find out is that there WAS something'paranormal' going on in the space that I lived in! After the men left, I crawled down to the depths of the dusty crawlspace and was shocked to find that the trunk had MOVED! Not only was it in a different spot but it was also laying on its' side, just as you see it in the photos. You may be wondering why I had left the trunk down there. The reason being is that I could NOT get it out! It just physically could not fit through any opening. As if the old cabin was build right over it. And that is a curious mystery on its' own. Flat top trunk measures 38" side to side; 20" front to back; has 2" wheels on bottom and is 14 3/4" tall with the wheels included. Antique Steamer Trunk-Dome Top-metal & wood bands-inside tray-circa 1890-1910
Antique dome-topped steamer trunk. Believed to be circa 1890-1910. Wood and most of the metal is in very good shape(could easily be refinished) however, the protective metal bands at corners have received some damage over many years of steamer-travel and freight-handling. The large interior tray is intact, and one of the lid-compartment doors is also intact. Note the decorative panel inside the lid, which is vibrant in color and unblemished. The interior of the trunk has the strong smell of cedar, so I'm assuming that tray construction is of cedar wood underneath the papered covering. Sorry but there is no key. The lid hinges close just slightly"off-center, but the trunk does close and latch securely with care. Can't see a maker's mark, but labels(where legible) indicate travel to NY, so assume it is of American origin. Great vintage trunk with great wide wood slats over pattered metal. It has a slight dome or curved shape to top. It's missing one the lifting straps onside. But the hardware is there for an easy repair. It has original owners name, P.E. Pierce, stenciled on one side as well. It measures 30" wide across front. 18" deep front to back. and 21" tall at highest point. It has 98% of it's original decorated paper inside. The hinges on back had come and have been repaired with new hardware, making it very secure. It has original cloth strap to hold it open. Please see many photos for best condition report.
