USA" The hinges on the back will need some restoration since one side of the trunks top will detach from trunk when opened. The side handles are broken off and have been replaced by bandanas on both sides. The locks close well. I do not have the key for the front center lock. New Britain Conn.US" Approximately: 12 5/8" x 21 7/8" x 36" Approximate circa: 1880-1910 This is an amazing antique steamer travel trunk. In really good condition, especially for its age. I believe the locks and other metal pieces on exterior are a brass plated cast iron. Nice and solid and sturdy. The exterior of body is solid, feels like a strong plastic, maybe bakelite? Not 100% on this but its not magnetic, it IS very solid, the texture appears to be bakelite. The interior is wood with paper lining. Overall very nice condition. lock appears to be working(no key. But latches close) and is still in good solid condition. The interior still has most of its great lining, both floral and print.
