This is a late 1800's Antique dome top embossed tin and wood chest. I took several pictures so you can see all sides. The trunks left leather handle had broken off. It is inside the chest. The chest does not shut good enough so you can latch it. At one time. It looked like there was a top shelve to it. Inside, one of the boards are missing that would of held a shelve on. The embossed design tin is rare. It's hard to find one like it. Sorry, there are no returns. This is a Pick Up Item only. This trunk is an unusual size and shape measuring 36.5 x 21.5 x 26 with a top that is not quite flat but not quite domed either. The trunk is in un-restored condition(see condition details for more information) and a nice find with a large amount of decorative embossed tin on the outside. Wood slats going vertically and almost all of the original hardware and latches. Untitled Document Purchased at a recent estate sale in NC full of fine antiques. This beautiful ornate trunk was a nice rare find. It has many exquisite and elaborate details. Please see images. It measures 23" tall. 30" wide and 17.5" deep. A collector's item! Looks great for its age though it does have some wear. The only parts I notice missing on the exterior are one of the leather handles and it did not come with a key. There is a name written on the right side. See photos to judge condition. It has its caster wheels. Overall it is very nice and I believe everything is original. The inside seems to be original and in very good shape for the age. Antique Small Dome Top Hump Back Steamer Trunk w/ Tray Embossed Tin& Wood Description: Up for sale is this great old small sized Dome top or Hump Back trunk! This trunk measures 24 1/4" x 14 x about 17" tall. As you can see from the photos on the left this trunk has been painted sometime in its past. The bottom tin is black in color with four embedded wheels near the corners. This leads us to believe that the original color of the tin on this trunk was black. You can see in the closeup that this trunk is covered with an embossed floral patterned tin covering held in place with wood straps with very ornate angle pieces at the corners. This trunk has 2 latches and one hasp type lock. Unfortunately the key for this lock is long gone. The hasps both close snugly but appear to be a little fragile. At one time there were leather handles ... moreon either side of this great old trunk. One side still has a little of the handle left. But the other sides handle is gone. The inside of the trunk is natural wood without any covering. The tray still feels pretty solid. This auction is for a very beautiful vintage dome top Steamer Pirate trunk. It has a very pretty pressed tin design(blue) mixed in with the oak wooden strips. It really makes a very pretty display piece It would look great in any area! It is a useable trunk. Both of the old leather side handles are attached still! The large front center hinge lock works fine but I do not have a key for this trunk. Both of the side front locks work well. There are no interior drawers. The interior shows it's age but would be great for storage. It measures as follows. It is 35 inches wide, 17 inches deep and 21 inches tall. The interior is lined in calico cotton with a picture of women inside the lid. It is the original interior. There is embossed tin covring the outside. Along with wood slats and metal reinforcing bands. The top is slightly humped and the two(formerly) leather handles are missing from the sides.often the case because the leather degrades.
