With a Lovely Dome Top. The Blanket box is Studded with Brass Work, which I have spent time polishing, really showing this off to it's best. With a Central Lock. Which has lost the top part of the catch, and Strong Original Handles to the Sides. Inside is the Original trunk Makers label. Retaining straps to hold the lid safely open, and lovely Fresh Lining. Evidence of old nail holes to the top front edge when lid opened only. Updated with reclaimed pine base skirting and lid trim.Stands on reclaimed pine corner feet just lifting it of the ground, although these could be unscrewed if not wanted. Victorian pine? chest measures approx 26"x 19" and is 12" tall it is papered on the inside with newspapers which date from the 1860s there is a handle at either end and the top opens up it has a key hole in the front unfortunately no key! it has not been restored but is full of potential I had intended to wax it as it is and use it as a low coffee table obviously it has age related wear but it is a sturdy.
