The only apology I can detect is a few veneer pecks which is very common on a piece of this age. This is one of the prettiest Empire chest I have seen in a while. CIRCA 1875 SOLID WALNUT FIVE DRAWER VICTORIAN CHEST WELL BUILT WITH KEY
This is a handsome solid walnut chest from about the 1870s. It has the first manufactured machine joinery on the drawers-the round dowel- as pictured. The chest is thick. Solid walnut and has three locking drawers over two large drawers. The gold leafing was added later and is not original to the piece. The pulls(handles) are original and lovely. There are cast iron casters on the bottom. It measures 48" wide, 22 1/2" deep, and 32" high. Local pick up only but if you make shipping arrangements before you bid and contact me, I will consider working with the bidder.

Burled Walnut 4 Drawer Chest Circa late 1800's. The top drawer has a vertical serpentine design with inset keyhole that looks like Rosewood. It has finger groove handles(underneath) Crotch walnut book match pattern on drawer fronts. Original finish. Older hand made dove-tailing(see photo) I believe the top and ends are poplar.
