For Auction W e have a beautiful Antique Leather Trunk Suitcase made by the Western Grip& Trunk Company Milwaukee Wisconsin. The trunk measures about 25" long by 12" tall by 8" deep and is in as found uncleaned condition. The leather on the outside of the trunk is in overall good shape. It does have some wear like scratches and tears. The inside of the trunk has it's original cloth liner and tag seen in picture 9. The lid of the trunk and the leather handle are a little loose but overall this is a nice solid antique piece that would look great in your home. Antique Leather Luggage Trunk Suitcase Seat Brass Tacks Monogram 1850 Stagecoach
Here is a real antique. Stagecoach, train luggage trunk. It is leather over wood and it's embellished with brass tacks and a monogram. Has the bottom part of the original lock. Has both handles. The inside is covered with blue and white striped ticking or cloth. That's in very good shape. It has a drop open door in the lid that was used to put either dirty clothes or unmentionables(as they called underwear in those days) Then the top was padded and you could sit on the trunk as a seat as you were waiting for the train or stagecoach. I have exhausted myself trying to find another one of these for comparison. It looks hand made and is all leather except the interior. One thing that makes this luggage suitcase so unique are the buckles. I have searched. 8 1/2? ANTIQUE HAND CARVED PEG JOINTED WOODEN DOLL SIGNED. I have today for your consideration A most amazing trunk! I have owned this for many years. And feel it is time to let someone else enjoy. It is 100% made of metal, no wood on it. All of the painting is original as is the vintage Cunard sticker. That may date it past 1900 but I feel that the truck itself is earlier. It has a sliding bar that latches it. I have never seen another one like it in 40 years of collecting and selling antiques. It is 24"x8"x13. It has a carnival feel to it. Antique Trunk Hardware Lot of 79 Trunk/ Suitcase Latches.These latches measure roughly 1 1/2" high by 1 1/4" wide. The 32 latches on the bottom row have no spring. The 24 latches on the middle row have springs. The 23 pieces on the top row are the latch tops. I do not know if the tops fit the bottoms as these all came to me like this. I believe these are all steel. And many have some corrosion on them. This auction is what you see is what you get. Thank you.

Old piece of domed leather luggage(is it a suitcase or a trunk? made by the Henderson Ames Co. for proper storing a Knights Templar Uniform. The name of member Brook Edmonston. Part of Comdy No.19 KT of Vallejo, California appears on the side of the case. The leather is embossed in an oval above the latch with: Henderson Ames Co. Kalamazoo, Mich. I believe it to be made between 1893 and 1923, as that appears to be the active dates for the company. Suitcase measures approximately 22" wide X 12 1/2" deep X 11" high. It is in very good condition consistent with it's age with good hinges. Locks, and hardware. Inside it is lined with a cream and purple striped cloth fabric with multi-coloured straps to hold the lid open. It also comes with an incredibly rare and unique brass insert that slots inside the trunk. It is made of brass and wood and has 5 red mounds in which a hat would be fastened with a pin to allow more than 1 hat to be stored in the trunk when travelling. I have never seen anything like it. It is in great condition overall with just the right amount of vintage wear around the handles and corners. The stitching in one corner has come away slightly. Goyard Suitcase/ Cabin Trunk in good vintage condition. Trunk has all the original latches and original leather handle. Exterior is highlighted by early turn of the century travel stickers- Cunard White Star. Ritz Madrid and Great White Fleet. The interior has Goyard's signature yellow cotton lining. As does the removable tray. Tray has 2 leather handles, stamped"Goyard" All hardware and rivets are firmly attached. Brass locks are marked Goyard Paris.
