Circa 1900 to 1910. Decorated allover with a geometric squares and lines motif. The design color is a dark oregano green. This design is a quintessential transitional motif that occurred in the decorative arts all over Europe as the Art Nouveau period overlapped with. And transitioned into, the Art Deco period. The background creme color of this piece is also unique to Europe at that time; the clay used contains ... moreslight green and brown tones that are characteristic of pottery of this time and place. VINTAGE CMIELOW MIELOW POLAND PORCELAIN FRUIT BASKET SOUP TUREEN PLATE LADLE EUC
Soup Tureen This vintage porcelain soup tureen. Ladle and large platter are made by C. Mielow in Poland. It has a fruit basket motif with silver band. The soup tureen measures 10 1/2" across the top excluding the handles and tapers to 7" across at the base. It is approx. 4 1/2" tall excluding the lid. The lid has a domed top with round knob. The large serving platter measures 13" across and has the fruit basket motif in the center. The ladle measures 12" long and has a bowl that is 4" long and 1 3/4" deep. This set is in excellent pre-owned condition. The only flaws that I could find are two small chips on the underside of the tureen's footed base and a chip on the underside base of the platter. There is some discoloration to the glaze layer due to the age and 3 little crack lines in the glaze on the surface of the lid. Both sides of the tureen. The cracks are in the glaze layer- they do not go through the wall- all visible in the pictures. Markings visible in the picture 6.

Charles Meakin Warranted Royal Ironstone China covered vegetable server. Charles Meakin made pottery in Burslem from 1870-1882. This server measures 9 1/2" x 6 1/4" and 12" from handle to handle. The base is 4" deep and the piece measures 7" to the top of the lid. It is in excellent condition despite its age of over 140 years. It has a small imperfection in the glaze on the lid which leaves a spot about 1/8" in diameter without glaze. It has one small chip on the inside rim of the base. No other chips. This is an original. Vintage, antique soup tureen. I don't know the exact age but I do know it was purchased about 35 years ago at an antique store. The tureen measures 8 inches by 6 inches and is 5 inches high. There is the tureen, lid and ladle. The outside is decorated with leaves and vegetables. There are no chips, dings or cracks anywhere that I can see. There is age crazing, mostly on the ladle. I always double box breakable items to help assure their safe arrival. Antique 1926 French China Co. "Martha Washington" Oval Vegetable Dish
Hi! Thank you for visiting my auction! To me some of my enjoyment in selling antiques is learning the history of a piece. The history gives them life. This is a"Martha Washington Oval Vegetable Dish" from French China Company. It is very fine. Very fragile china that was made 87 years ago. It was a monogrammed wedding gift, with the initial"L" on the lid and bowl amongst Victoria swag and roses. It has gold accents along the edges and on the handles. There is much crazing and some yellowing, due to its advanced age. Sometime in the past a portion was broken near one handle, and it was mended, but there is a tiny chip missing(see picture) The dish measures almost 12" from handle to handle, and 3" tall, without the lid. For historical background: The French China Co. came into being i n east Liverpool. Ohio, in ... more1899, then moved to Sebring, Ohio where it joined with other china manufacturing companies under the name Sebring Manufacturing Company in 1916. It was deemed the worlds largest producer of fine China at that time. The companies under the Sebring umbrella became American Chinaware Co. in 1929, but then the Great Depression came along and the company went bust. Details: 1 Soup Tureen with Lid and Ladle: This is an especially rare find being that the entire Tureen is intact with lid and ladle. The Lid is in good to excellent condition. Viewing from the top it is fully intact with no chips or scratches. Not visible but can be felt is a hairline crack that can be seen on the underside. This runs from the cut out for the ladle for about 2 inches. The transferware is overall clear and bright ... morewith a small area surrounding the pattern and bird art work that appears a little fussy and more than likely from manufacturing. The underside of the lid two small chips. One in each corner, the hairline crack as mentioned above and noted crackling to the glaze. Over all it should be noted that this lid is still in good to excellent condition. It is stamped with the Ridgways bow& quiver, Devonshire. Rd No 2302, Rd No 688. Length: 11& ½” ~ Width: 7& ¾” The Ladle is in good to excellent condition The handle has been repaired just above the ladle bowl. This is not immediately apparent. There is a crackling to the glaze and discoloration in the bowl and about 3& ½” up the handle. The discoloration gives off the appearance that it was caused by sitting in hot food/ soup being there is a definite line of where it ends. There is an embossed leaf design on the end of the handle. There are no other markings. It fits nicely into the tureen and gives the feeling that this is the original ladle that came with this tureen. Length: 11” Bowl Diameter: About 4& ¼” Bowl Depth: About 1& ¼” The Dish is in good to excellent condition with one disc

It a beautiful blend of blue clovers and connecting swirls on a milk-white embossed surface. I believe that the circa date for this pattern is from 1914-1924. AMERICAN CHINA PAINTING, LGE MID-19C IRONSTONE TUREEN
Here is a fine example of AMERICAN CHINA PAINTING from 1928 and executed on a much earlier ironstone tureen. Probably English and from mid-to-late 19th century. This big tureen had a broken lid and was unadorned and thus probably considered a good candidate for decoration in 1928. The tureen as it is, is 6" tall, about 14" across the handles and 8-1/4" deep. It has a rather unevenly painted interior green trim ring, but the gold trim on the outer edge, handles and base is well done. The flower pot decoration.nearly identical on both sides. has a very strongly art deco influenced design with brightly colored and stylistic flowers. This is a very old"Chinese" export porcelain covered tureen. It is 8 sided. This tureen is 9" X 10" square and the bottom is 2-1/4" deep. The piece is 6" tall overall. This is export porcelain that was made for the European trade in the 1850's and is often mistakenly called"Lowestoft" It has gilt edging-some of which is faded from being handled. It is in excellent condition. As you can see. It is basically white with shades of blue. There are 2 different designs on the sides as shown. The bottom is plain white. This auction is for a Lovely Hand Painted Soup Tureen and 8 Soup Bowl Set from the mid 1900s and Hand Inscribed to the original owner. They are Beautifully Hand Painted with a nice brush strokes in colorful Purple. Violet, Blue, Yellow and Green. This Set Displays Wonderful and clearly was Prized by the previous owner. They were purchased at a recent estate sale near Harrisburg. Pa. and are fresh to the market. The back of the Tureen is hand inscribed: To Mary Jane and Hap Syle from Mary and Paul Hulleberg 1959. All the pieces are in very good condition without any chips or cracks or damage. The paintings. Including the gold accents, are sharp, vivid and bright. Antique China COVERED SOUP TUREEN Maidenhair Ferns
This lovely soup tureen with lid has an embossed pattern trimming the rim. The handle, and the feet. The scalloped edge of the lid and base makes for a delicate appearance, as do the green ferns and berries that adorn it and the soft fluted shape of the vessel. It is in excellent condition, but for a small 1/4 inch chip on the rim of the lid(see photo) From tips of handles, it is 11.5" long. It is about 8" at the widest, and 4" tall. The lid, with the finial/ handle adds about 3" more to the height. Lovely Thomas Edwards transferware tureen or vegatable bowl base circa 1841. This is in the blue Waverly pattern and is marked T Edwards Porcelain Opaque on the bottom. This piece is in fair condition. There are no chips or cracks but there is some crazing along the underside of the rim. And the white paint shows discoloration/yellowing. T his is a vintage Bridgwood& Son opaque covered porcelain sauce? bowl with lid cover. The bottom of this piece is hallmarked and it has a stamp that reads“Reg: g 175033. It measures approximately 8" long to the ends of the handles by 4 3/4" wide. With the lid it measures approximately 4 1/2" tall. It is in very good condition. The flowers still have some gold trimming left. There are no chips, cracks or repairs. It does have a couple of brown spouts on the bottom inside of the bowl and on the inside of the lid cover. As stamped on the bottom. There is a knotch in the lid for a ladle. The piece has crazing throughout. It has a repaired crack where one side of the spoon indent in the lid broke off at some point(see photos) There is also a crack on the side(see photos) which measures a little more than 2 inches and I would be careful putting hot liquids in it because of this crack. But it would still be great for vegetables, mashed potatoes and a number of other thing! Included here are a footed fruit stand, two covered small sauce tureens on underplates, and two dessert plates. M ark: Each piece is unmarked except for a pattern number 568. See Godden's"Guide to English Porcelain" 1978. 1992) Page 147 for an image of a tureen with same body with pattern number 609 which Godden dates to c. 1815. There is another similar tureen shown in Godden's"An Illustrated Encyclopaedia of British Pottery and Porcelain" Second edition 1992) Page 272 with pattern number 562 dated c. 1810-15. For further information about Ridgway marks see John Sandon's"The Phillips Guide to English Porcelain of ... morethe 18th and 19th Centuries" 1989 reprinted 1993) page 150 where he notes this about Ridgway pattern numbers: Different pattern numbers used by different family members. Generally progressive numbers up until 1815. Then 2/ series up to 2/9,999, followed by 5/ series in the 1850s. Mostly unmarked, although several elaborate marks using royal arms were used. Ref: Geoffrey Godden. Ridgway Porcelains, Barrie& Jenkins, rev. ed. 1985. I conclude that this low pattern number. And wonderfully elaborate decoration make it not unreasonable to believe these to date c. 1810-15. Fruit stand measures 4 1/2 inches tall. 8 1/2 inches wide and 12 3/4 inches in length. C ondition: There is much rubbing of the gilding off the berries and leaves at each end of the stand as well as around the edges. But the gilding in the middle of the bowl is still quite good. There are two hairline cracks: One about 3 inches wandering from the cluster of berries at the side toward the center. There is another about 3 1/2 inchs long starting at the cluster on the other side and wandering into the body to a spot which looks like a fingerprint in the glaze. Antique One-of-a-Kind Greek Covered Bowl with Embossed Gladiators on Lid This sale is for a Very Unique. One-of-a-kind Covered Bowl, created and hand painted in Greece in the 1960s. The Bowl, and Lid are Ceramic and fit perfectly together. The entire piece is 8 inches in diameter and 5 inches tall. This is a Gorgeous Piece. One that will appeal to the Collector as well as someone just looking for a unique piece to show off. It was entirely hand painted. The base color is a Flat Black with White trim around the bottom edge of the lid and around the handle. The Bowl portion is Flat Black. But is encircled with Off White Rounded Triangle designs. The underside has a hand printed message that reads“ Hand Made in Greece” The Lid is the unique part of this piece. It is also Flat Black in color. But instead of being smooth like the Bowl, the Lid ... morehas(4) raised Horse and Gladiator figures. Two(2) of these figures, show a pair of Bucking White Stallions, pulling a Golden Chariot. Inside the Chariot is a Roman Gladiator, complete with Spear and Shield, looking at a roman slave, who is barely hanging on. The other(2) figures depict a third White Stallion. Being handled by two slaves, one in a Blue sash and the other in Pink. At the very edge of the Lid, or either side, is a Roman Gladiator Helmet, Sword and shield, just lying there as if their owner was just vanquished on the field of battle! This piece was purchased in Greece and an art shop and hand carried back to the States. It is in Excellent condition and the colors are still vibrant. There are NO cracks. Chips or Damage of an kind, however, there is some rubbing on the inside edge where the Lid and Bowl meet as well as on the underside when it rests on a table. These are simply from age and storage. The inside of the Lid is flawless, while the inside of the bowl does have some marks where the paint has flaked off. I have taken photos of the actual piece you are bidding on. The mark on the back states the pattern to be"Bude" but I've had difficulty finding info on the pattern. The mark also dates this tureen to approximately 1891-1900+. For it's age and use. It is in very good condition. There is a slight glaze flake to the rim of the cover. My photo did not turn out so I will upl oad anoth er tomorrow. The glaze on the underplate is a bit crazed so there is some discoloration under the crazing. None of this. To my mind, detracts from it's beauty. This beautiful old piece has a hallmark which looks like a torch combined with an archery bow; I am not familiar with it but probably you collectors are. See closeups. It is in good antique condition with no problem I can see. No chips. No cracks, no crazing. It measures about 10" long by 4- 3/4" high.

They have a earthenware flow blue type of consistency. There are some hairline cracks and minor chips- I pictured the worst chip.

An Antique English Ceramic Creamware Pottery Covered Vegetable Dish with a domed top and molded puce enamel feather edge. The enamel decoration is in the manner of James Bakewell. The dish has an old collection sticker but is otherwise unmarked. Most likely. South Yorkshire, Leeds Pottery, c1790. CONDITION: This lovely covered dish has had restoration to some of the glaze wear on the rim; two haircracks restored on the lid and there is visible staining on the underside of the lid and the underside of the dish(see closeups) The staining is due to wear and use. There is also an interesting factory flaw. There is a tiny splash of cobalt blue on the lid that was done in the making. MEASUREMENTS: 6 1/2" High(with the lid on) and 12" Long. A small art nouveau tureen. Porcelain, with an under glaze decoration of green and on glaze decoration of gold and roses. The three handled tureen has a very attractive shape, is one with its stand and is in perfect condition. Height about 9 cm, m4.6 inches. Diameter at the top rim of the bowl about 8 cm, 3.25 inches(handles not includes) There is no mark, but it was made by Pfeiffer& Löwenstein, a Bohemian factory in Schlackenwerth, now Ostrov. The factory was started in 1873. Around 1910 designs of Joseph Hoffmann were executed.The item is in perfect condition, some rubbed off gold at the handles.
