This wonderful tureen was made by Powell& Bishop(1867-1878) The pattern is classic with rounded handles and just a flat applied diamond shape on the peaks of the handles. The ladle has a slightly different pattern as shown. The bottom of the tureen is marked with a bold black backstamp that reads. Ironstone China Powell& Bishop" This gorgeous tureen has a blue cast to the glaze bringing Pearlware to mind. A wonderful treasure you NEED to commandeer for yourself or your loved one! Condition: The condition on this sauce tureen is phenomenal. It is probably about 150 years old and all that I can find to criticize is some tiny brown age spots along the very edge of the lip inside the lid and two little spots of wear on one of the base handles. This gorgeous sauce tureen and its ladle are in excellent condition with no chips. Cracks, or even crazing! antique vintage tureen with ladle lid and underplate as shown. underplate is 16 inches tureen is 13 long handle to handle and 10 inches tall. tureen and lid is very nice. ladle could be cleaned/ dipped as it has gravy stains from years of use which is very very common. I would have done it myself had I been back east but here in rural Wyoming I don't know who does it. underplate has a crack as you can see. the ladle by itself is worth more then my starting price. underplate stamped as shown and tureen base stamped as shown. all sales are final and all items are sold as is as found. I do not know what the pattern name is.

Mid-1800s, white English ironstone, but not marked, Shape looks like Framed Leaf. In which case this is probably potted by Pankhurst- except it does not have the gothic shape we would expect. A variant by another potter? Leaf Focus? Overall good condition. Expected glaze wear on the bowl rim. The handles and toning on top of the finial, No chips. Cracks, hairlines, crow's feet, staining, repairs, other issues except for the mentioned glaze wear. A few stone pings here and there. White glossy glaze. Bright and shiny. Lovely Antique White Ironstone China Tureen J&G Meakin Hanley England 1890
This is a beautiful antique white ironstone tureen with lid. It is marked"Ironstone China. J&G Meakin, Hanley England, and has a crest with a lion and a unicorn. I believe that this mark dates to about 1890. The tureen measures approx. 10.5" from handle to handle, 6.5" wide, and 6" tall. It has a lovely shape and elegant design on the top handle and the two side handles. It has overall crazing, and some light staining on the inside of the lid that does not show on the outside. There is a chip on the lid and two tight hairlines on the lid. The bottom has three evenly spaced marks on the inside of the bowl that look like they might be stilt marks, and two glaze bumps under the handle that do not show unless you flip it upside down. A fabulous circa 1894 white ironstone china handled covered tureen. Marked on the underside with a lion and unicorn surrounding a crowned-crest and"Thomas Hughes. It also has an imprint of"4. It measures approximately 8 3/4" 10 1/2" including the handles) x 6 1/4" x 3" to the top of the rim and about 5 1/2" to the top of the knob. The knob is signature Thomas Hughes. As is the decoration on the handles. Typical for its almost 120 years of life. The tureen has crazing, some potter's inclusions, a small hairline crack along the inside edge of the footed pedestal, which does not seem to affect the integrity of the piece, and some surface scratching. Most of these things cannot even be seen unless you look under high light and with a magnifying glass. There is also some browning on the inside edge of one ... moreof the handles(see photos. This is a wonderful. Large footed tureen in antique white English ironstone. It is marked on the base with a black transfer mark- by Powell& Bishop. England, Ironstone China. Size: 13" across. 7 2/4" wide, and 6" high. I have listed this without the lid because the lid I have is actually a little small for it. It can be purchased separately through another listing. This is heavy. Nice old ironstone. Condition: Mint- no sign of wear or use at all. Shiny. All white with no staining or crazing. No chips or cracks or scratches, not even inside. Amazing! ps- my last photo shows the lid. Which is also in excellent condition. It is, however, one size smaller than it should be. It is not included in this auction. I could not match the exact mark in my searching for info on this piece. the hallmark is the lion and unicorn with shield marked with the word DROIT overall 7 1/4" x 11" with height with lid 6" opening 8 1/4" x 6 1/4" inside depth of 3" Condition: small nick and flake to inside rim of lid. See the photos above. The nick hardly shows when lid is in place. Looks much worse in photos. size about 1/8" to 1/4" There is crazing underneath both of the handles. Both handles are secure. The bottom is marked with the maker's mark, manufactured in the latter 1800's. The tureen is in very good condition, but for a tiny chip on the knop, underside of lid flange has a tiny glaze flake, and small line to rim. Bottom is perfect. This is an antique English white ironstone lid. It is domed and the handle has nice flourishes on either side. It is oval and is in Excellent Condition. Size: 10 1/8" long. 7 1/8" wide. The inside lip is 8 3/4" x 6" This has no chips. No cracks, no crazing. There is a tiny bit of tan color under the glaze on the inside area of the handle(see photo) A few teeny, light scratches. This is amazingly pristine.

Antique Edward Corn White Granite Lily Pattern ironstone soup tureen 1840
This beautiful white ironstone soup tureen is in the Lily pattern. It was produced by Edward Corn of Burslem prior to 1850. The tureen is 14 ¼ inches long. 9 ¼ inches wide and 12 ¾ inches tall to the top of the lid. The tureen is molded with lilys on all sides and has an attractive finial. The tureen has an impressed mark on the bottom that reads W Granite, Lily Pattern, E. Corn, Burslem. The company changed its name to W&E Corn in 1850. This pattern is kind of scarce and we have not found another tureen in this pattern. There are a few brown spots on the inside and on one side of the bottom piece. Both of the handles look to have small firing cracks. The finial on the top may have had some restoration to strengthen it. This tureen is very old with crazing galore and some discoloration at the base as can be seen in the photographs. no chips. However, there are some hairline cracks near the base(see photo) and inside at the bottom as well as a gaps at the finial handle which appears to have resulted in the manufacturing process when the handle was applied. Beautiful Staffordshire Antique White Ironstone Tureen-Corn Finial & Handles
This is a very nice early antique white ironstone tureen. The pattern has deeply etched corn and leaf details with a corn finial and corn handles. There are no cracks. A small chip on the underside of one handle, overall light crazing. There are also areas of browning on the inside and outside of the piece, as seen in the photos. I have only washed this with soap and water, possibly the browning can be bleached out with the proper solution.

Beautiful John Edwards ironstone covered dish with lions heads. As I understand. This is from between the 1850's and the 1870's. There is crazing, a hairline crack in the lid, a small chip in the rim and a hairline, and a couple of cracks by the handles that look like manufacturers defects. There are a few small discoloration spots and glaze imperfections. Despite the stated defects, this is a good looking dish as there are no large chips, cracks, or stains to detract. Considering the age, it is on excellent condition! Opening measures about 9" x 6.5" and is almost 4" tall without lid. Please inspect photos closely! This is a large antique white ironstone tureen in good condition. There is a large chip on the top edge. If it wasn't for the chip. This tureen would be near MINT! A couple tiny glaze fleabites around the opening of the lid, but otherwise there are no other chips, cracks, or crazing. Super clean and shiny and it still displays GREAT! It is marked T&R Boote on bottom with an English registry mark dating it to 1861. It is approx. 14 1/2in. across at the handles. Looks like perhaps the fig union pattern? This auction is for a Large Antique White Ironstone Soup Tureen and Ladle. This Tureen is marked Royal ~ Stone China ~ Maddock& Co. ~ Burslem. England ~ Trademark. It is oblong and measures approximately 11" tall with lid, 15" long across the top of lid, and 8 1/2" wide across the top of the lid. It is in good condition for its age with only the usual wear and tear from years of use. There are some darkened mold marks on the inside of the tureen. I see no cracks, chips or breaks in the Tureen. The ladle has some crazing and wear on the underneath side of the ladle that rest on the tureen. This piece has been passed down in our family for many Century's My grandmothers mother's mother owned it and who knows who else before that It Measures approximately: 8 1/2 inches long by 5 in wide with lid on Stands: 7 inches tall with lid on and 4 inches tall with it off. Gorgeous T& R Boote Covered Tureen in Classic Shape in White Ironstone. According to the mark on the underside. This shape was registered May 30th 1868. This measures 10 1/4 x 7" or 12 1/4" long with the handle included. It is 3 1/2" tall, or 6 1/2" with the lid on. It sits on a 6 1/4" x 4" base. In very good antique condition. Antique white IRONSTONE serving TUREEN, dish, bowl, with lid, England
This lovely antique tureen is in great condition for its age. It is ironstone china and was made in England by Bishop& Stonier probably around the late 1800's. It has no chips. But there is a crack by the handle of the lid. You can see where the maker set the bowl to glaze as there are rest spots on the bottom and on the inside. There is a blue-like area on the side of the bowl where the clay was not mixed well, or the potter blotch the ink from the stamped mark on the bottom and then glazed it. The mark on the bottom says"Ironstone China" and Bishop& Stonier, England. There is a crown on top. It is a lovely piece of old ironstone. It is 11" X 6.5" X 6" I ship at cost and quickly.

Up for your consideration is a wonderful small soup tureen that is in EXCELLENT condition with absolutely no flaws anywhere.This came out of an estate that had a main house and then smaller quarters for the workers or servants so most all of the items in the house were turn of the century items so I assume the home was built in the early to mid 1800's and that was the time period reflected in the furniture that was in the house.
