Antique Rare Wallis Gimson CLOVER Aesthetic Tureen Black Transfer Ware
This is a wonderful small tureen or covered vegetable dish in a modified rectangular shape. Handles included it measures 10" in length. 7" in width, and 4 1/2" in height. The beehive in the back stamp identifies the maker as Wallis Gimson, a pottery manufacturer in Fenton in the Staffordshire region from 1884 to 1890. The transfer color is black. The lid handle is formed by two overlapping arches. And the glaze has pooled lightly at their base in a pale blue. Design elements include clover foliage and blossoms, also Oriental flowers, sedges with their seeds, and, less pronounced, grape leaves and grape clusters. The glaze on the lid has fine crazing throughout. The interior of the lid has a 1 1/8" chip on one of the small ends, not deep enough to effect appearance or function. There is light staining along the interior ... morerim and lip. The bowl is in excellent condition. With no staining to the interior, and minimal crazing to the exterior. There is a small hairline near one of the handles, picture 10) but the dish is still completely tight. Overall this dish is in wonderful condition and presents very beautifully. And the Clover pattern is so rare it's not even listed.

OLD Brown Transfer ware TUREEN With Lid The Tureen is 7" across in the widest part. 12" from handle to handle and 3 1/4" tall, 5 1/4" tall with the lid. There is some discoloration to the glaze layer due to the age and 3 little crack lines in the glaze on the surface of the lid. Both sides of the tureen. The cracks are in the glaze layer- they do not go through the wall- all visible in the pictures. Markings visible in the picture 6.

ANTIQUE Tureen - Brown Transfer on White - T & R Boote - Tournay - Beautiful!
This gorgeous old tureen measures approximately seven by eleven inches on the top opening. The reddish-brown transfer appears to be in pristine condition with no noticeable wear. Both the tureen and its cover are in perfect condition with no cracks. Chips or breaks. There are a couple of small age spots on the interior of this piece, but I don't feel that they detract from its beauty or usability in any way. The cover has a cut out to accommodate a ladle. Available for purchase. We have this gorgeous brown transferware tureen. Tureens of this age, in this condition are definitely not found everyday! It was made in England by the potters Podmore Walker& Co. PW& Co. They made pottery between 1834-1859. This tureen is believed to be from their later work, in the 1840's to 50's. The transfer work is beautiful. There is some chips to the tureen. There is a small chip on the tip of the finial handle and another under the finial. The chip under the finial isn't very visible yet you can feel it when you lift the lid. Inside the lid, there is some slight discoloration. There is one more chip on the underside of the tureen edge. All 3 chips are shown in photos so please check all photos! There are no other chips or cracks but there is crazing. This piece was imported from England ... moreby Evans& Hill. Antique 1840's 2 pcs Blue Transfer "ANTIQUE" Sauce Tureen
Up for auction is this superb sauce tureen a beautiful example of English blue transfer ware from the 1840's. The original underplate is also included! This tureen is marked at the bottom of the platter with the pattern name"Antique" and"Stoneware" but no manufactors name is present. Perhaps the urn shaped mark would give a clue to the maker. The cover, underplate and body are in very good condition with only minor discoloration to small areas on a few edges. There are no chips, fractures, touch ups or puttied repairs to this piece with the exception of 3 small pits on the front of the platter, pictured in the 8th photo, these were caused during manufacture from the 3 points on the kiln firing tripod, these marks are also on the bottom of the platter in the same triangular position. The Bowl measures 4" in height with lid 6 3/4" The mouth measures 6" X 4 1/2" base 6" X 4 1/2" There is a cutout for the ladle- no ladle. English castle scenes with water and trees. Spectacular 19th Century English Transfer Ware Tureen 13" x 10" Transferware
Description This weighs over 7 lbs. I don't often use the adjective"spectacular" but I do here. This is a massive and gorgeous tureen. I cannot find the mark. Which is a basket with fruit and plants, in any of my references, so I don't know who made it or when. It is obviously English and i imagine Mid to late 19th century. Another thing that makes it spectacular is the condition. There are NO chips or cracks or repairs. Couple of tiny factory dimples on the inside is it. Please always check the bottoms of my listings. Antique Tureen W/ Lid, White W/ Blue Bell Transfer by Homer Laughlin, Hudson
Lovely antique white with blue and green motif Homer Laughlin. Hudson tureen serving dish with scalloped gold leaf edged lid. It features a blue bell transfer pattern with green leaves. The handles and the edge of the lid are trimmed in gold leaf. The tureen measures 10 1/2" in length handle to handle by 8" wide to the top of the lid's handle by 5 1/2" high to the top of the lid's handle. Green transfer ware tureen with aesthetic movement details. Sailboat scenes, castle by water scene. Fruits, ivy, and leaves also depicted. Tureen is 7.5 inches long x 5 inches wide x 5.5 inches tall with lid on. There is some discoloration on the inside of tureen. Overall crazing is present on lid and body of tureen. Unfortunately the ladle is missing. There are two small hairline cracks on one end of the body of the tureen. Each crack measures approximately 1/2 inch long. They can be seen on the inside and outside of the tureen with the lid off. You can't see them much at all with the lid on. The piece is not marked on the bottom except for a single small brown colored mark that looks as if it is a number. This piece also sits very slightly off level. However. This is not noticeable upon simply looking at. It rocks on its feet, slightly, ... moreto the touch. A small felt pad applied to the bottom of the shorter foot would resolve this. Refer to pictures to see condition. Overall this is a wonderful and unique tureen and a great collectible to display and enjoy.
