The goods produced were the higher classes of earthenware. The under dish and the tureen are marked with impressed Wedgwood and Co- s tandard name-mark used alone or incorporated in printed marks. Printed blue mark that dates the set c 1890- 1906 There is one small chip on the lid of the tureen and two small chips on the ladle. Otherwise the set is free of chips, cracks or crazing. James Edwards was among the pottery makers in Staffordshire. England, who originated the process for making ironstone and transferware. This soup tureen. Dating from about 1850, is one of his creations in the purple transferware pattern“Vine. There are relatively few Vine pieces available. And so far as I know, this is the only soup tureen available for purchase. The pod-shaped lid finial is very unusual. The English pottery houses used design elements for the American market that were familiar to the westward moving population. Please take note of the finial in the photographs. Size: The tureen is 10 ¾” high to the top of the lid finial. It is 13 ½” wide handle to handle. The underplate is 10 3/8” in diameter. Condition: The condition is fairly good considering its age of about 160 years. It has some crazing and stains. And there ... moreis a fairly large hairline crack in the finish of the lid, but it does not go through the ironstone itself. Details: 1 Soup Tureen with Lid and Ladle: This is an especially rare find being that the entire Tureen is intact with lid and ladle. The Lid is in good to excellent condition. Viewing from the top it is fully intact with no chips or scratches. Not visible but can be felt is a hairline crack that can be seen on the underside. This runs from the cut out for the ladle for about 2 inches. The transferware is overall clear and bright ... morewith a small area surrounding the pattern and bird art work that appears a little fussy and more than likely from manufacturing. The underside of the lid two small chips. One in each corner, the hairline crack as mentioned above and noted crackling to the glaze. Over all it should be noted that this lid is still in good to excellent condition. It is stamped with the Ridgways bow& quiver, Devonshire. Rd No 2302, Rd No 688. Length: 11& ½” ~ Width: 7& ¾” The Ladle is in good to excellent condition The handle has been repaired just above the ladle bowl. This is not immediately apparent. There is a crackling to the glaze and discoloration in the bowl and about 3& ½” up the handle. The discoloration gives off the appearance that it was caused by sitting in hot food/ soup being there is a definite line of where it ends. There is an embossed leaf design on the end of the handle. There are no other markings. It fits nicely into the tureen and gives the feeling that this is the original ladle that came with this tureen. Tureen CHINESE Pattern, Gildea & Walker c. 1881
Large and elaborate Chinese Pattern. Polychrome and flow blue with lustre accents open handled tureen. Both the inner and outer sides of the piece are decorated in the Chinese Pattern. The piece is mounted on a beautifully crafted oval footed stand with curved shell motifs for the feet, all decorated in flow flue and lustre. It measures 13 ½” from handle to handle, stands 6 ½” to the handles. It is marked with the impressed mold mark of“Gildea& Walker” with a hand-painted red mark in the center“6267” There is another impressed mark with a“4” over“82” dated the manufacture to be April of 1882. The condition of this piece is exceptional, no chips, flakes, signs of repairs or color fading. The colors are sharp and defined. A showpiece!

From the estate of a major CT collector comes this stunning Mason's Patent Ironstone tureen with underplate in superb condition. It's marked with the Mason's crown and banner and dates to ca 1820. The design is a variant of the standard lily pattern with a central flower and unusual border. Excluding handles. The tureen is 6 1/4" X 4 3/8" and 7" tall to the top of the finial. The underplate is 7 1/2" X 6" There's a red pattern number of 3 over 9893 on the back. I'm thinking the nicely shaped 7 1/2" ladle is a marriage, but they came together and they're staying that way. There are small stilt marks on the rim of the bowl, which I've examined with a loop. This is a magnificent item. For your consideration. We offer a small(7" x 4.5"x 6" sauce tureen made in England in the early part of the 19th century, in the"Japan" style. Of beautiful. White pearlware in an elegant form with leaf form handles, and a wave form, or pumpkin stem, finial. Decorated in a most interesting fashion. In tones of rust, green and blue enhanced with gilding. The interesting part is that one side is decorated in a simple cascade of foliage and blooms, while the other side has a much for detailed and more heavily gilded design of flowers and branches. The lid, too, is decorated in two distinct fashions on each side. I almost wonder if this was a sample for the dealers to show the customers, so they could choose the style of decoration. Lid is 8 5/8" diameter at bottom and approximately 4 1/2" tall to top of finial. When put together, the total height is approximately 8 1/2" A large, stunning centerpiece for your table. Condition: Underplate has only minor wear and some light brownish discoloration on white area. And some light crazing. No chips, cracks or repairs. Tureen/bowl: Has a small chip on the underside of one handle; a couple of tiny fleabites on the top edge; one very small chip on bottom of base; some crazing and some brownish discoloration on white areas. Lid has a small chip underneath edge. A few light brown spots on underside. The flower bud finial has a stress crack(may have been a manufacturing flaw) on each side but does not go all the way around knob. Finial seems to be firmly attached. See last photo) NOTE: These flaws are all minor and very hard to see. This set is in very good condition for it's age. And is a beautiful and very rare, hard to find set in such fine condition. Antique Ridgeways Eng. Tureen in Blue and White Hawthorne Pattern; c. 1842-1867
This is an absolutely wonderful antique piece from Ridgeways England. The tureen is at least 150 years old. The makers mark on this piece indicates indicates that it was made between 1842 and 1847(photo 8) This back stamp is the oldest Ridgeways mark. Take note that there is no location of the maker anywhere in the marks. This is another indication how old this piece is. History has documented that post 1890 there was an act declaring that all makers must have location of manufacture somewhere in there back stamps. This was mandatory for all European makers. It is also marked with the pattern name. Hawthorne. This tureen is done in a traditional blue and white floral pattern, and it is a large oval shape with a cut out for a ladle. The condition if this piece on the outside is excellent, there are some issues with the inside condition which ... moreI will explain in detail. As I said earlier, the outside really looks great, the design is bright and shiny. There are rolled handles decorated in the same floral pattern, and a knob on the lid in a solid blue and white design. The blue color on the the outside is unbelievable considering its great age. On the inside, there is a border of blue/white flowers along the top edge. The white on the inside is very discolored from age, yet there are no chips or cracks( see photos 3 and 4) There are 1 or 2 tiny knicks along the edge, nothing at all serious or concerning(see photo 3) On the underneath, there is a stress crack coming from the stand, luckily it does not go through or show inside. Honestly, the piece is an enigma, as it is so beautiful to,look at on the outside. Yet, as I described, the inside has issues. Technically, since you only see the outside when viewing, it looks great. It is a sturdy piece weighing in at 5 and a 1/4 pounds, and it measures 13 and a 1/4 from handle to handle. The tureen stands 9 and a 1/4 in with the lid on, and it is 4 and a 1/2 in high without the lid. A piece with this great history, from such a highly collectable maker like old Ridgeway

SPLENDID ANTIQUE G. PHILLIPS TUREEN 1834-47 CHARMING SEPIA VERONA PATTERN
Just a wonderful example of late Regency- Early Victorian fine transfer-ware pottery. This complex and robust tureen was produced by the G. Phillips Co. And can be dated to between 1834-47, when the name of the original company was changed. This is the Verona pattern, and it could not be more charming. The transfer patterns are very complex, so note how well the complex patterns have been fitted to the undulations of the pottery and to each other. The condition is really quite fine for the age of the tureen. The length is about 12 inches. The height is about 5 1/2 inches. Bidders. Antique J&G Meakin Tureen - Hudson Pattern
This is a nice antique J&G Meakin soup tureen in the Hudson pattern. The mark indicates it was made between 1907 and 1911. The floral pattern is reminiscent of Asian Imari patterns. Red and green flowers surround the bowls and there are cobalt flow blue leaves that have gilt veins. Very good condition. No cracks, crazing, or chips. There is typical wear expected with its age. This wear includes gilt decoration that has worn off parts of the foot, and finial. There is also an area where the glaze is rough from wear on the lip of the bowl. This tureen measures approximately 14" long and 8.5" tall. Very pretty! I have tried my best to accurately describe this item. Please ask any questions before bidding.

Antique Keeling & Co Losol Ware Omonde Pattern Tureen & Underplate
Absolutely stunning flow blue octagonal vegetable/soup tureen and matching underplate. This beautiful Losol Ware is decorated in the"Ormonde" pattern by Keeling& Co. Of Burslem, England. The tureen measures 9" in diameter from side to side. It stands about 8"h to the tip of the lids' handle. The underplate measures 11.75" dia. Decorative detail is amazing and absolutely beautiful featuring flowers and other detail. The tureen is in almost perfect condition. The lids interior lip has a broken piece(not seen from the exterior) see picture) The gold gilt is worn in some areas on the edges. Antique Edward Corn White Granite Lily Pattern ironstone soup tureen 1840
This beautiful white ironstone soup tureen is in the Lily pattern. It was produced by Edward Corn of Burslem prior to 1850. The tureen is 14 ¼ inches long. 9 ¼ inches wide and 12 ¾ inches tall to the top of the lid. The tureen is molded with lilys on all sides and has an attractive finial. The tureen has an impressed mark on the bottom that reads W Granite, Lily Pattern, E. Corn, Burslem. The company changed its name to W&E Corn in 1850. This pattern is kind of scarce and we have not found another tureen in this pattern. There are a few brown spots on the inside and on one side of the bottom piece. Both of the handles look to have small firing cracks. The finial on the top may have had some restoration to strengthen it.
