Maddock's Lamberton Works Royal Porcelain Platter 14 3/4" White and Mauve
This item is a platter made by Maddock's Lamberton works. It measures 14 3/4" by 10 3/4" and is 1 3/8" tall. It features flowers outlined in mauve and filled in with mauve and light green. The edge is scalloped and there is a gold trim along the top edge. There is a slight wearing of the gold. Very minor surface wear on the bottom, only a few very, very light scratches three small glaze pops/imperfections on the outer sides. The bottom is marked as pictured. I believe this was made in the latter part of the 1800's but I'm not 100% sure of the exact time of manufacture. This platter is about 9-1/4" long, 6-3/8" across, and about 1-1/4" high at the rim. It is simply decorated with narrow green lines with four swags spaced equidistantly around the rim. The catalog describes this pattern as"Decoration No. I E4800, underglaze, Loraine decoration in green. The underside has the M China L backstamp used from the 1890's until about 1911. The Maddock Lamberton China backstamp dates this tray to 1890– 1911. And since The Plaza opened in 1907 the date fits right into place. This small oval dish measures 5 1/4” from top to bottom. 2 1/4” from side to side, and stands 3/4” up from the tabletop. The dish is a bright white with a shiny glaze and is decorated with a thick gold band around the top rim, a delicate gold lacy design around the inside edge and is topmarked with the famous back-to-back double PP logo. This dish is in eggsellent ... morecondition with no chips. Cracks, crazing, and only the lightest signs of use. There is a small amount of wear to the gold band around the top rim, and there are only a few very light surface marks. There is a tiny dark dimple in the glaze in the well of the dish, a small flaw which occurred during the manufacturing process. Antique Maddock Lamberton Works Royal Porcelain Tureen with Lid Very Good Condition This is quite a large tureen but unfortunately the spoon is missing. It's in very good condition with just a few little chips on the base. On the underside where they don't matter and can't be see. This tureen is 8.5" high with the lid on and 8.25" wide across the base opening. It is not very steady either so I think some of the scalloped feet are uneven- just an FYI. The pattern is springs of shrub roses along with a filigree impressed pattern and it's just beautiful. You can see the mark in the last picture. Thomas Maddock bought out several partners in an already functioning pottery in the Trenton area in the late 1800's and by 1890 he had changed the name to Maddock& Sons and operated 3 manufactorys in the area. This piece came out of an estate last weekend and still needs some cleaning. We gently wiped most of the dust& grime off the surface with a moist cotton towel. The l id does not have a flow hole or opening to allow a thick substance like chocolate to flow through. That is why we think it is most likely a tea, coffee or hot water pot. Condition: Thi s piece has four cracks along the upper rim that are visible on the outside and inner surface. Pictures: 9&10 and 11&12) The crack on the right also has a tiny chip at it's top. This little crescent shaped dish was produced in Trenton. New Jersey by Maddock's Lamberton Works. It is white porcelain with light brown leaves and vines highlighted with small pink and blue flowers with gold trim. There is crazing throughout the dish, which is not unusual be given its age. There are some small bubbles below the glaze and a two brownish discolorations, one on the front and one on the back. The gold trim is slightly worn in a couple of places. There are no cracks or chips. Please look closely at the photos. I tried to capture all of the beauty of this dish as well as the flaws. It measures 5 3/4 inches by 3 1/2 inches. The mark on the back was used starting in 1893. The unusual shape really makes this dish stand out. These antique pots are getting harder and harder to find and to find one with a cover is even more difficult. The pattern is floral with pink roses and leaf. The pot and cover have golden accents/trim. The top opening measures a generous 9.0 inches in diameter. The heavy chamber pot is in excellent condition with NO breaks. Cracks, or chips. The pitcher is by Arner's, there is an inscription that says Thelma Xmas 1989 on the bottom. The pitcher is about 12 inches tall and about 9 inches in diameter. The Hotel LaSalle of Chicago was considered the finest Hotel in the city at one time. It was built between 1908 to 1909. Burned down and was rebuilt in the late 1940s at which time it changed its name, and was eventually demolished in 1976. This fine porcelain souvenir match holder was made by Lamberton pottery which is affiliated with Maddock pottery or one in the same. Note the M china L mark(Maddock) And was in business until 1929 according to Kovels dictionary of marks book(pictured) Condition is great especially when you consider its age.I see no chips. Cracks, or repairs anywhere. The bottom has a little wear from use. The gold trim is worn in areas. It is approximately 3 and 1 half in. tall, by 5 and 3 eighth in. long by 4 and 1 quarter in. wide. Beautiful old pitcher and dish with lid and insert. Stamped Lamberton Maddock Works Royal porcelain. Pitcher is a little more than 7 inches tall and about 5 inches wide through the middle. The dish has matching lid. Also stamped the same and some sort of round insert that can be removed plus matching lid all with nice heavy gold trim. Close to 100 years old. These pieces are elegant and quite expensive. I'm putting them out together at a lower than average price so that they can have a good home soon. I will also add a handling fee to have them professionally packed since they are delicate china and old and we don't want to take any chances with the post office.

Rare 1890's Victorian Vanity Bowl Maddock Lamberton
This is a very rare 1890's Victorian"slop" container. Measuring 12" tall and approx. 13" wide. This piece was used in the bedroom for the discarded water from the dry sink. What makes this porcelain piece so rare is the fact that the lid is still present and also the pristine condition of the interior of the container. This Victorian vanity piece is in amazing condition with the only real flaw being a chip to the interior of the lid. The gilding on the handles is slightly faded, but the floral design is still present. The bottom bears the mark Maddock Lamberton. VERY RARE Lamberton Maddock 1905 German-American Singing Club Bowl
About this Bowl: This is an enormous punch bowl. Porcelain with blue on the outside and white on the inside. It has silver lettering and sterling silver trim around rim, foot, and bottom, some of which is worn away. The bowl is 17 1/2" across and 9 1/2" high. It dates from 1905 and is celebrating the Silver Jubilee(1880-1905) of two related German-American singing clubs. The Liedertafel of Trenton, New Jersey and the Concordia of Wilkes-Barre, PA. On the front of the bowl it says: Dum Silber-Jubilaum Concordia Wilkes-Barre. Pa. 1880-1905 von der Liedertafel Trenton, N.J. 4. 5. 6. Duni, 1905. At most there were only two of these bowls made. One for the Trenton group and one of the PA group. I assume that this is the one that went to the PA group since it was acquired from a Northeastern PA estate, which is where Wilkes-Barre is located. ... moreIt is truly one-of-a-kind(or two of a kind if the other bowl still exists) It's massive size also adds to its appeal- it's massive and impressive, to say the least. There are no chips. Cracks, breaks or repairs on the bowl although there is some crazing on the inside of the bowl and some discoloration. There are two hairlines, which I have pictured with a flash so they look a lot darker than they actually appear on the bowl but I wanted you to see them. This bowl. Interestingly, was made by Lamberton Works in Trenton, New Jersey(many people mistakenly say that Lamberton was a British company, it was not) I have included very interesting information about both German American singing clubs and Lambertons's below. Up for auction is a beautiful vintage porcelain Lamberton Victorian slop jar. These were used with a chamber pot. Wash bowl and pitcher when sprucing up. I believe it is more than a hundred years old- very pretty decals and coloring Good size- measures about 14" tall x about 14" across handle to handle. This is cute little Lamberton restaurant ware creamer. Made by the Maddock pottery Co. from 1893-1929. Green scrolls with a gold handle. The gold is worn off on the handle except for the edges.which still have the gold.almost looks like it was made that way. See picture. There is a potting dot flaw inside the bottom of the creamer and a very tiny one on the spout upon very close inspection. This might be an antique, but these colors are trending for 2015 and this piece is perfectly on trend for up-cycling! The pitcher. Which would have originally been used for water with a wash basin,stands about 7" tall x 8 3/4" wide from spout to handle. There is a scrolling repoussé pattern around the rim and base that mimics the scrolled applied handle. Gold highlighting on the rim and handle makes this piece really shine! Lovely antique porcelain vase by Maddock's Lamberton Works of Trenton. New Jersey. The vase has hand painted purple flowers with gold trim around the top rim. Stamped with the"Maddock's Lamberton Works" seal and"Royal Porcelain" on the bottom. There are no cracks or crazing. There are some manufacturer glazing defects and what could be a repaired chip on the top rim- it is painted with the same color gold trim. So it looks like it is original to the piece. Rare!! Antique Maddock's Lamberton Works Royal Porcelain cup, Circa 1898-1900
A rare and beautiful antique cup(or can be used as a vase) from the Maddock's Lamberton Works Royal Porcelain china made in Trenton. New Jersey. I have tried to research the exact age of this cup but have been unsuccessful. From my reading about the history of the Maddocks Lamberton Works company. I would say it is possible that the cup is older than the 1898 earlier date I listed- possibly very late 1860's or 1870's- but I cannot be certain. I have found pictures of some of the porcelain china ware in this same pattern but have found no name for the design and have not seen any other cups like this. I am sorry I cannot offer any further information but perhaps those of you looking at this auction may know far more than I do about this piece. This cup measures approximately 5 inches tall and is 3.25 inches from rim to rim. Upper ... moreedge has pretty fluted accents. Some very minor discoloration(wear) to the glazing on one side of rim. VINTAGE MADDOCK'S LAMBERTON WORKS COVERED CANDY/ JEWELRY DISH. Beautiful floral of pink and blue flowers with gold trim. The gold is both part of the pattern as well as on the edging. There is an embossed swirl pattern both on the lid and the bowl. The edges of the lid are scalloped. The bottom rim of the bowl is also somewhat scalloped. When you look at the dish from one side you see the blue floral design on both the lid and bowl. If you turn the piece to the other side you see the pink floral design. Clearly marked with company name. This piece was on my grandmother's coffee table for as far back as I can remember. And I never knew it had a repair to the lid handle.
