Which I find to be extraordinary due to the age of this wonderful piece This tureen came from a Michigan estate and was treated with respect. rarely used. the piece is 12" wide at it's widest point. 7 1/4" wide, and 7" tall. the pattern of the piece is unknown. But is very similiar to the John Maddock& sons Brown Oakland pattern, with the addition of red and yellow coloration on the florals. with the exception of some wear on the gold embellishment. The tureen is in very good condition. The ladle has a slightly different pattern as shown. The bottom of the tureen is marked with a bold black backstamp that reads. Ironstone China Powell& Bishop" This gorgeous tureen has a blue cast to the glaze bringing Pearlware to mind. A wonderful treasure you NEED to commandeer for yourself or your loved one! Condition: The condition on this sauce tureen is phenomenal. It is probably about 150 years old and all that I can find to criticize is some tiny brown age spots along the very edge of the lip inside the lid and two little spots of wear on one of the base handles. Up for auction is this glorious antique Copeland Spode ironstone covered t ureen with underplate. Hand decorated in beautiful blues and reds with fanciful birds and flowers. The mark on the back states the pattern to be"Bude" but I've had difficulty finding info on the pattern. The mark also dates this tureen to approximately 1891-1900+. For it's age and use. It is in very good condition. There is a slight glaze flake to the rim of the cover. My photo did not turn out so I will upl oad anoth er tomorrow. The glaze on the underplate is a bit crazed so there is some discoloration under the crazing. None of this. To my mind, detracts from it's beauty. White Ironstone Tureen With Oval J. Edwards Impressed Mark & Berry Finial
This vintage white ironstone tureen. With cover, has no cracks or repairs. There are two under the rim cracks on the inside of its cover. There is a lightly impressed J. Edwards mark on the bottom of the tureen. The dimensions of its opening are 5&1/8 by 3&3/8 inches. It is 3&1/2 inches tall to the top of its rim. When the cover is off. With its cover on it is 6&1/2 inches to the top of its berry shaped handle. The berry shape handle on the cover is surrounded by raised leaves/The tureen has two handles with raised leaves on either side of the handle. It is 7&3/4 inches from the end of one handle to the opposite end o fthe opposite handle. The shipping weight is 4 pounds. The winning bidder pays the shipping costs.

I thought it was the underplate for this tureen but there isn't an indentation for the tureen to sit on. That tray has the rare blue"S" mark for Selb. The Berlin factory was partly destroyed during World War Two and production was moved temporarily to Selb. This tureen although a match to the platter does not have an"S" mark. It is marked on the bottom in red or brown KPM with a crowned globe along with a blue spectre mark. The tureen is very heavy and dense like ironstone china. The applied ... morehandles are figural leaves and vines or branches. Gold gilding decorates the rims along with relief orange scrollwork. There's some scuff marks and flea size nicks to the bottom rim of tureen. There's a couple of small scratches on the lid and two tiny dots on the bottom created when it was elevated in a kiln. Z oom in or e nlarge the pictures for more clarity. They are a part of the description. The dimensions to the top of the finial(with the cover on) is 9 7/8" tall. To the top of the rim(without the cover on) it's 5 1/8" Across the handles it's 13 5/8" The number 4 is impressed into the cover. Photos were taken with the flash on and off. This is for an early 1900's tureen marked Eureka Beehive mark for Dunn Bennett England. There is a small chip on the lid where the ladle sits and that caused a tight hairline seen in photo's 8. 9 and 10. The base is good with no damage. The pattern is a blue over white small floral and fruit chintz design. Lid is embossed with a scallop floral and braid pattern. Also along the bottom of base. Has handles and a matching finial. Underneath part of base has a scallop design with little feet. Vintage. Imperial Pottery covered soup tureen in assorted blues and rose design. Gold trims on the pieces. An underplate measuring approx. 11 3/4 inches in diameter with no chips, cracks or breaks. There is a photo to show a small chip on mostly the inside of the bowl. At the rim measures approx. 6 5/8 inches diameter and widens out at mid area and holds approx. 1 gallon. c1745 GERMAN BAYREUTH FAIENCE SM COVERED TUREEN "BFS" MARK ANTIQUE DELFT
This is another piece I have owned for years in my collection. It is a small sized German Faience or Delft covered dish or tureen from the first half of the 18th century. It is marked on the bottom BFS. Which stands for"Bayreuth Frankel& Schreck" a faience factory in Bayreuth owned and operated by Adolf Frankel& Johann Veit Schreck from 1745 to 1747. I have seen 18th century German faience steins with this BFS mark. This little tureen measures a bit more than 7" across the handles, 4 3/8" wide, and about 4" tall. The sides of the base and the lid have matching floral designs in blue. The finial is composed of two scrolled bits of pottery which resemble rams horns. There are similar applied handles. There are four small bumped out feet on the bottom, with considerable wear from age. The piece is in overall ... moregood condition considering its great age. The lid has a hairline that measures about 1 3/4" long. There is a chip to the top of the base edge which is covered by the lid. One handle has some loss of the glaze, and the other handle has a couple small rubs to the glaze on one side. There is a small glaze flake on the bottom of the base. There are no restorations. I have never seen a piece quite like this before. It is probably quite rare. I am listing this for the low starting price of $9.99 with no reserve. 19th Century White Ironstone Vegetable Tureen The base is marked with lion and unicorn crowned coat of arms or crest. Ironstone China and the initials JF(Jacob Furnival) are written below the crest. Antique Royal Worcester Porcelain Soup Tureen and Platter 1883 1881 Date Mark
Here is a beautiful large soup tureen with lid and platter. It was made by Royal Worcester The color is a robins egg blue on creamy white. The platter has a Latin inscription that translates: Bravely Faithfully Successfully" in a banner under a dragon It has an S date letter for 1881. It has black as the second neutral color. The tureen has an U date letter for 1883. It is the same color blue but has gold as the second neutral color. Platter measures about 17" by 13.5" The tureen measures 15" handle to handle by 8.75" wide. The condition is very good. No chips or cracks. The tureen has scratches inside from utensil use. This set weighs 16 pounds boxed. Set is packaged and shipping is actual price as shown on calculator. International shipping. I use the global shipping program. Import duties. Gold trim STUNNING Description FLOW BLUE COVERED CASSEROLE/TUREEN A deep cobalt blue and white dish that measures 9 1/4 x 7 1/4 at the opening Handle to handle is 11 3/4" Base stands 3 inches high to the edge of the lid. It has a beautiful swirl design on the bottom with a scalloped stand. There is one small chip on the rim of the base as shown.it can't be seen when the lid is on. It has much of the gold trim and accents with with little wear. This item is marked but I cannot determine the maker. A stunning piece for any collection. Beautiful Large Antique Samson France Porcelain Tureen and Cover. The white ground tureen is decorated with colorful antique flowers. The handles have a twisted vine shape. The ends of each handle are decorated with raised/ applied porcelain flower stems- stems that have a curved shape. On one side of each handle. There is a pink band. The cover is decorated with a yellow lemon and green leaf finial. The tureen is trimmed with gilt. The base has the blue crossed swords mark for Samson& Co. Paris, France. France" is also written on the base. SIZE: 7 inches high x 15 inches long x 9 1/2 inches wide. CONDITION: The lemon finial has a rough spot on the end of the green stem. And the bottom part of the rim has a speck of porcelain loss. The bottom part of the cover has tiny dark specks and roughness on one side of the white glazed interior. ... moreThe interior of the tureen has a couple light tan spots on the bottom. There are some losses to the raised/ applied floral decoration due to age and use. The tureen has very tiny pin dot marks in the porcelain(as made) The unglazed parts of the tureen have a darker color- especially seen on the bottom part of the base. There is some glare in the photos. Great serving piece.

Wonderful Caughley or Worcester Tureen,, Chinoiserie, crescent mark
i love this piece. But the pattern did not match what I hoped it would. It has a wonderful lid which has some tiny use chips on the inside of the lid, but none of this is seen when the lid is in place. It is in perfect condition otherwise. it has the cauliflower lid knob in a wonderful cobalt blue, and handles are twisted with little raised bumps. the strap handles are held down with flowers, which just screams 18th century. The tureen is 7.25 inches handle to handle, and, with the lid on, it is almost 6.5 inches tall. as promised, the crescent mark is shown. the firing crack on the base does not extend through the tureen, indicating a firingg flaw. Not damage. ASK QUESTIONS. PLEASE EXAMINE THE PHOTOS CAREFULLY-There is a lot of data in there. LOOK AT THE PHOTOS caref ully. also- Returns only if reasonable. if the piece is lost and you did ... morenot ask for insurance, it is at your risk. Antique 1800's STAFFORDSHIRE Amaranth Mark Blue Sea Coral Tureen Lidded Bowl NR! This is a very rare circa 1860's blue on white porcelain ironstone lidded tureen in the blue coral pattern. It has a 4" deep lid. Not including the extremely ornate handle. The handle is hand painted blue and on one side the paint has slight wear, as shown in picture. The lid has one extremely slight wear mark on the underside. Not a chip, just wear on the glaze. The base has a gorgeous basket with flowers and butterfly and also has hand painted detail on the handles that match the lid. The base measures 12 1/2" across, 10" wide and 2" deep. The underside of the base has the Amaranth mark in shield. This was made by one of the elusive English Staffordshire potters.
