There are a few yellowing spots at the bottom of the tureen and two dark blue spots on the bottom of the lid. The diameter is 11 inches and height is 6 inches. The bottom of the tureen says Cauldon Ware and the names Brown Westhead Moore& Co are stamped into it. It is a very nice piece and great condition for it's age. We have acquired this nice Antique VEG SERVER& LID BROWN TRANSFERWARE"Elsmere" by A.F.Co STAFFORDSHIRE It has a chip on the rim of the dish and on the foot. A tiny flea bite on the inner corner of the lid. The dish has a good amount of crazing and stains(see photo) but the lid seems to be free from crazing. It measures 11 ½” by 6” and is 3 1/2” deep. It has a creamy white background with interesting brown transferware pattern and gold accents. There are no chips or cracks, but there is fine crazing and fading of the gold accents. The soup tureen has side handles and a top handle for the lid and rests on 4 feet. It measures 5.5" high to the top of the lid handle, 7' wide from handle to handle and 4.5" wide. The ladel is about 7" long and has great detail. There are no markings. A wonderful antique piece! ANTIQUE Tureen - Brown Transfer on White - T & R Boote - Tournay - Beautiful!
This gorgeous old tureen measures approximately seven by eleven inches on the top opening. The reddish-brown transfer appears to be in pristine condition with no noticeable wear. Both the tureen and its cover are in perfect condition with no cracks. Chips or breaks. There are a couple of small age spots on the interior of this piece, but I don't feel that they detract from its beauty or usability in any way. The cover has a cut out to accommodate a ladle. T he bottom of the dish is marked T& R Boote with a Registration Number, and, I think, the name of the pattern. Embossed in the same white as the dish is BURSELM. This piece will put a touch of beauty and sophistication on any table. And, it would make a lovely display if it were never to be used!

This is a very beautiful Antique White Porcelain Tureen with brown leaves painted on the lid and sides. It is made in England by John Maddock& Sons. The hallmark is clearly on the bottom. Antique Late 1800's Brown Transferware Tureen Beautiful
Up for auction just in time for the holidays. Is this stunningly beautiful Antique tureen with brown transferware design. This piece is unmarked aside from numbers on the bottom(see photo 4) and on the inside on the lid(photo 3) The lovely floral designs look like forget-me-not flowers and they show a hint of pink color. But just a hint. There looks to have one time been some trim of this. But it is worn off in places. The florals are unworn. There are no chips or cracks on this piece. Which is remarkable. There are dots of brown on interior of lid which I think happened during firing as they are under the glaze. I don't know maker. Origin or design name, unfortunately. This was purchased at a high-end, Boise Idaho Estate sale where there was alot of transferware from England. Most probably British in origin. There are dabs of blue pearl ware coloring scattered throughout the glaze inside the lid rim and along the bowl's collar base. Assembled, the unit measures 4"H x 7"W x 10¾"L. Given that this antique service item was used, the following condition issues exist which are are relatively minor: lid has a dual-penetrating handle attachment crack, running the 3"+ length of the applied handle; along with crazing, the base has light grease stains to bowl interior; and very minor glaze fleck nicks to rim edges of both the lid and base ... moreexist. Ebay Listing Page Antique Historical Staffordshire Penn's Treaty Brown Transferware Sauce Tureen I tem Description: Up for auction is a stunning antique historical brown transferware sauce tureen manufactured by Thomas Godwin of Staffordshire. England during the early 1800s. The sauce tureen features William Penn making his treaty with the Eastern Woodland Indians near Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The border displays a geometric pattern and the edge is scalloped with open work handles and finial on the lid. The bottom displays the pattern name and overall the sauce tureen stands about 6 1/8" tall and measures approximately 9" in length. Item Condition: The overall condition of the sauce tureen is excellent. It is extremely clean with no chips. Cracks, or repairs, with the exception of a tight hairline on one side of the foot ... morewhere overspray was applied at some point in its life. This does not show through to the inside of the tureen and it does not extend up into the body of the tureen. The white earthenware is still very bright and clean with minor staining on the interior and the brown color is extremely deep with nice contrast. The glaze is glossy with fine consistent crazing on the lid and the edges display minimal glaze loss or rubbing. There are light utensil marks on the interior of the tureen as well. Gorgeous figural elephant handles with an Asian decorative lid handle in the shape of two birds feet and decorated with a lovely brown transfer ware. Trimmed in gold gilt. Nice! It measures approx. 15 1/2" x 9 3/4" x 8 1/2" and is in good condition. We found a hairline crack on the outside of the piece with an"X" shape to it. The long line goes through to the inside of the tureen. One foot also has a chip and there is wear to the gold gilt trim and painted elephants. Please see all our photos for specifics! Antique Brown Transferware Tureen with Lid RUSTIC Pattern A. F. Co. England
This lovely c1891 antique brown and white"Rustic" pattern English vegetable tureen was made by the A. F. Company(possibly Alfred Fenton) in England. With the handles. It measures approximately 11" across and about 5 1/2" in height. The condition is quite nice for its age. The base has a tiny dark 1/4" line at the top rim near one handle(see close up) and a tiny little dark flake off the top rim. The lid has two corners chipped but fortunately they are on the same side which can be turned to the back when on display. Please view all 10 photos for condition. There is a very minor amount of overall wear as it was used but gently. It most definitely displays perfectly! Please ask any questions you have before bidding as all sales are final. Antique 1880 G L Ashworth Bros "Victoria" Brown Transferware Vegetable Tureen
This is a beautiful and rare piece of Antique brown Ironstone transferware made by G. L. Ashworth Bros. Made in the 1880's. It has a scene of lovely flowers and little bees all over it and it is in wonderful condition for being about 135 years old. Please check out all pics for further detail. It measures 11"x8" and is able to hold 10 cups. The finish on it is beautiful with very little wear. The only issue to note is a tiny patch of damage under the lid. Antique Brown & White Aesthetic Transferware Tureen, Vegetable Serving Dish
Beautiful antique tureen in almost-perfect condition. This has not suffered any abuse over the years. It has no chips. No cracks, no hairlines, no fleabites, no nibbles. It doesn't even have any crazing so there's no staining or toning. The surface& inside are both clean& shiny. It does have the 3 tiny pinpoints inside both the bottom& the top from manufacturing. There is a small surface rub or perhaps a glaze bubble pop on one corner, but it's only mentioned for complete accuracy. I don't see it as actual damage, especially since it's only about 1/8 of an inch& only in the top layer of glaze. It measures approximately 10 1/2 by 6 1/2 inches. It's unmarked on the bottom and sits solidly on the table. You won't be disappointed with this treasure. I'm starting it at a bargain price. Up for auction is a Beautiful antique Brownfield Tureen and Platter. The tureen has brownish red floral design over Ivory porcelain. This tureen is in excellent condition for its age. There are four chips on the tureen. There are three on the inner rim of the tureen bowl and one on one of the feet of the tureen bowl. Please see the pictures.
