This is an antique circa 1820's/1830's likely English brown transferware serving dish. The scene appears to be Japanese and the dish is in remarkable ... moreshape for its age. With a nice glossy glaze. The lid and dish are both beautifully decorated. Top handle is a floral decoration and the inside of the dish has transferred designs on it as opposed to being blank. Some of the glaze is gone in a few places. But there are no chips or cracks. There is isolated crazing throughout blank areas of the piece and a few areas of minor discoloration. Inside of the bowl has fine scratches which are only noticeable in the light. The piece has a minuscule mark I could only capture with a loupe on top of it. It resembles an 8 or B with a hook on top of it and a K underneath it. Measures approximately 12'L X 9'W X 7'H. $18 SHIPPING IS TO DOMESTIC U.S. ONLY(EXCLUDES ALASKA& HAWAII) ALL OTHERS EMAIL FOR SHIPPING COSTS.

Early 1800 Mason, English Staffordshire Soup Tureen
Miles Mason began his career in 1796 as a China importer in London. In 1806. He opened a pottery factory at Lane Delph, Fenton, Staffordshire, England known as Minerva Works and later known as Mason. The Mason family coined the word“ironstone” which is a combination of strong iron and fine china that they used in their products and decorated it with Chinoiserie or hybrid oriental design. The pattern, Oriental Pheasant was widely used as early as 1810. Miles’ third son, Charles James Mason, patented the famous“Mason’s Patent Ironstone China” in 1813, a mark they used in all their products thereafter. This beautiful 3-piece Soup Tureen does not show any markings yet and believed to have been made before 1813. This colorful and attractive. 3-piece Soup Tureen with an oriental pheasant pattern is very popular among Staffordshire antique pottery ... morecollectors and increasingly difficult to find. This 2-piece Soup Tureen with lid measures about 7 inches high and about 8 inches wide and the hot plate measures 8 inches long and 6 inches wide. The bowl has been repaired with 4 tiny metal wires similar to staples, a popular way of repairing ceramics during the 18 th and early 19 th century. It is done by drilling a hole. Inserting tiny pieces of wire and glue to keep the pieces together. Surely, this Soup Tureen will be a great decorative and conversational piece because of the way it was repaired. Although it has condition problem, the Soup Tureen was verbally appraised by Bonhams and Butterfields for $350.00 to $400.00 about 5 years ago. Please contact or email us. ANTIQUE ENGLISH EMPIRE STAFFORDSHIRE ART POTTERY BLUE BAND DODECAGON TUREEN BOWL
Up for auction is an Empire Porcelain Company Limited of Stoke on Trent. Staffordshire, England(Formerly Stoke, England 1896 to 1967) White Glazed Porcelain, 12 Sided(Dodecagon) Art Deco, Staffordshire Art Pottery Tureen or Serving Bowl with its Lid, Featuring Wide Bands of Colbalt Blue Trim and Gold Trim in"Excellent Plus" Used Condition, Date Coded as being Manufactured in August of 1932. This Art Deco tureen or covered dish is absolutely stunning with it's wide band cobalt blue trim and a bit of gold trim to go along with its dodecagon(12 sided) shape. It has no chips. Cracks, outside scratches, scuffs or repairs of any kind and I'm grading it as being in"Excellent Plus" condition because there are just a few minor glaze crazing lines on the bottom of the tureen and some of it's gold trim has worn away over ... morethe years as well. Glaze crazing can be very normal with any glazed pottery or porcelain which has some age to it. Worn away gold trim is also normal and when it comes to the gold trim most pottery factories applied it over the glaze so over time it can rub off and wear away. If you use the"Supersize" and"Zoom" features I've provided with the pictures you'll be able to see where some of the gold is now very faint or completely missing. Interestingly enough if you"Super Size" picture 11 showing you a close up view of the maker's mark you can see one of the glaze crazing lines going across the ink stamp mark and please remember the glaze crazing is isolated to the bottom only. There are also a few factory flaws which consist of tiny dark specks within the white glaze in a few places and this can be considered normal for white glazed pottery from this era. Lastly if you look at picture 12 you can see a small and very faded blue cloud which is within the glaze and probably got there when the decorating department applied the cobalt blue bands. Please also note that inside the bowl and on the backside of the lid you can see three discolore

Passaic Falls, State of New Jersey" Enoch Wood, England, c. 1819-1846. This beautiful Staffordshire tureen is transfer printed in dark blue on white pearlware. This is a rare American Historical Staffordshire Gravy Tureen Base showing a view of Passaic Falls. State of New Jersey from Enoch Wood& Sons Shell Border Series, c. 1825. This lot is JUST the tureen base: no lid, no under tray and no ladle. It has a very dramatic dark blue transfer of the Falls of the ... morePassaic River in Northern New Jersey. The shells that give the series its name can be found around the base-rim and around the top rim, both inside the tureen and outside. Molded handles with loops in extremely dark cobalt blue. The Passaic Falls base makes an excellent display piece. Or use it as an open serving bowl. The transfer is crisp and clear and the color exceptionally strong. Interestingly, Passaic Falls is both beautiful and historically significant: located in what is now Patterson, NJ, the Fall played a major role in the early Industrial development of both the United States and the State of New Jersey. Alexander Hamilton visited the site in the 1790s and thought it would be a good location for a planned industrial community(which never materialized) The Falls did provide power to some of New Jersey's earliest mill sites. Jeffrey Snyder includes the view in his book Historical Staffordshire: American Patriots and Views(p. 133) and both David Arman and Sam Laidacker list the tureen in their books on American Historical Staffordshire. This wonderful early piece of Historical Staffordshire. Has a blue printed mark, PASSAIC FALLS- STATE OF NEW JERSEY" This is a

ANTIQUE STAFFORDSHIRE ART POTTERY ENGLAND BLUE BAND 12 SIDED TUREEN BOWL 1932 A+
I'm offering for sale and considering offers for a Marked Empire Porcelain Company Limited of Stoke on Trent. Staffordshire, England(Formerly Stoke, England 1896 to 1967) White Glazed Porcelain Pottery, Dodecagon(12 Sided) Art Deco, Pottery, Antique Tureen or Serving Bowl with its Lid, Featuring Wide Bands of Colbalt Blue Trim and Gold Trim in"Excellent Plus" Used Condition, Date Coded as being Manufactured in August of 1932. This Art Deco tureen or covered dish is absolutely stunning with it's wide band cobalt blue trim and a bit of gold trim to go along with its dodecagon(12 sided) shape. It has no chips. Cracks, outside scratches, scuffs or repairs of any kind and I'm grading it as being in"Excellent Plus" condition because there are just a few minor glaze crazing lines on the bottom of the tureen and some ... moreof it's gold trim has worn away over the years as well. Please also note that inside the bowl and on the backsid
200 yr old Hicks & Meigh English Blue & White Tureen Exotic Birds Staffordshire
Offered for sale is a rare Hicks& Meigh tureen. Pattern No. 9. Hicks& Meigh produced stone china from 1806-1822. This attractive fine Staffordshire English tureen is one of Hicks& Meigh's earliest marked pieces. It is expertly printed with a delightful chinoiserie transfer blue and white pattern known as the Exotic Birds. The tur een with lid is 13 inches tall. Handle to handle is 14" The bowl is 7 1/2" tall, without handles is 11 in across point to point. Lid width is 9 1/2" point to point. Inside of lid says Stone China#9 same as on bottom of bowl with the Royal Coat of Arms. No cracks or repairs. One point on the base rim as an old chip-as shown in the photo. Maker: Hicks and Meigh Pattern: Number 9 Tureen c1806-1822 Number 9 as a pattern name. Barely does justice to this energetic design, which is probably ... morewhy it also known as Exotic Birds and Flowers and Exotic Birds, but they are later given names and Hicks and Meigh were quite content with the factory name of No 9. Blue printed backstamp, Royal Coat of Arms, with Stone China beneath and No 9 beneath that. An English expert in Hicks and Meigh told me the holes in the rim are decorative-could have been used to vent steam. Etc. He said this large tureen would have been used for non-liquid items(vegetables, etc) as the lid has no hole. For a blue and white lover. Or a real antique china buff, this tureen is a prize winner! In 44 years of the antique business, I have never had a 200 year old tureen in such good shape plus being beautiful! Antique Staffordshire Lions Head/Handles Covered Large Tureen
Here is a fabulous antique English blue and white transferware tureen with no markings. The lid has been professionally repaired. One can really only tell by the reglazing on the inside and very clever touch up to the flowers and swan I think, really hard to discern in my opinion. One lion has an old hairline and there are several pit marks and signs of wear. Also one tiny white spot which may be a drip of paint or clay when it was restored but I cannot remove, it is flat and a perfect tiny circle. Please look at all of the pictures. I tried to show more of the wrinkles but also enjoy the beauty of this fine tureen. It measures almost 11" across and about 14" including the lions head handles. It is about 4 3/4" deep and the opening is approximately 8" x 11" Adding the lid makes it stand about 10" high and without ... morethe lid it is about 6" high from the base. I have described this as accurately as I can and if you are not satisfied I will refund your Paypal payment less shipping costs when returned in the same condition as I sent it within a week of receiving it and emailing me first. Please ask any questions before you bid and read the description and look at the pictures too. US bidders only and no bidders with less than 10 positive feedback please. ** ESTATE SALE ** 3 PC. Staffordshire Tureen Circa 1840 ** Take@LOOK **
ESTATE SALE* From a southern California ESTATE with many fine antiques. We are selling a antique Staffordshire covered tureen with matching underplate and this 3 piece set is circa 1840. The handle or finial on the top of the tureen has been mended a long time ago and although it is stable as it is. it could be repaired in much better fashion today and most likely done in a way that would make the repair either invisible or very hard to see. The transferware decoration is very nice and the hallmark on the bottom is RHINE which is most likely the retailer who first sold it. The underplate measures about 14 inches across at the widest point and to the top of the tureen handle is about 11-1/2 inches. There are some small chips on the bottom edge of the tureen but they do not take away from the look of the set. I see people asking big prices ... morefor similar 3 piece sets with repairs but we are pricing this one at a very reasonable $225.00 or best offer and that is as good as it gets for antique Staffordshire made before the American civil war. Please e-mail with any questions. Packaging and priority shipping will be $34.95 within the U.S. and overseas or foreign buyers will likely pay more depending on final destination. The shipping will be done via UPS ground and if the shipping is less than the $34.95 stated. we will refund the difference through PayPal. We do not want to make money on shipping but do not want to lose on it either. Many more items currently for sale on eBay and we will be adding more items nearly every day.

I have only washed this with soap and water, possibly the browning can be bleached out with the proper solution.
Antique Victorian Porcelain Soup Tureen Staffordshire Dish Transferware Bowl HTF
Antique Victorian Porcelain Soup Tureen Staffordshire Dish Transferware Bowl HTF This is a magnificent ornate Victorian Soup Tureen bowl Casserole dish by Staffordshire in England that has exquisite form and intricate European transferware decoration throughout. Please read the question and comment in the"Ask Question" section below the description. It measures 12 inches(30.48 cm) long by 6.85 inches(17.4 cm) tall to the top of the ornate handle by 10 inches(25.4 cm) deep. It has some printed marks on the bottom indicating Cologne. I believe it is from the early 1800s. Here's what I stated about the beautiful bowl's condition: A crack line in one corner of the exterior bottom bowl that faintly goes through to the interior. But is completely self contained and no leakage or seepage from it. Glaze loss on bottom ridges of ... morebowl, but they are not chips, just discolored glaze losses. Crackle glazing on exterior of bowl evidencing great age and is normal antique character patina. Otherwise in beautiful condition and all intact with nothing broken and odor free. Vtg Antique Tureen Ironstone Royal Staffordshire Pottery England Valley Forge
This Vintage Antique Soup Tureen is from the renowned Royal Staffordshire Pottery. In 1896 Arther J. Wilkinson took over this pottery. The works at first produced earthenware for the home market. But later operations concentrated on white graniteware for the United States~and although this is Ironstone it does explain the pattern being called Valley Forge ~. The pottery was managed by Colley Shorter. An affluent Victorian, and his brother Guy. Colley, whose full name was Arthur Colley Austin Shorter(1882-1963) He moved in exclusive circles and had a taste for antiques and fine furnishings; which shows in the Classical lines of this Soup Tureen. His second wife was the ceramic designer Clarice Cliff. This Large 13" long. 7" wide and 5 1/2" deep Tureen will hold any of your Holiday Soups or other Delights. With a lip on each ... moreside it makes it quite easy to pick up when full to set on it's matching Underplate. The Ladle is ample for bowl filling and with the Lid to keep it hot it will be outstanding on your Holiday Table. Please see the photos since there are 2 very small nicks on the bowl. But this in no way takes away from the form and function of this piece; considering this is c. 1910 it is in quite good shape. Enjoy! Ironstone pottery was a form of durable.
