This auction is for a Rare Matching Pair of Antique White Ironstone Covered Oval Vegetable Bowls made by EB Stone China in the mid to late 1800s. They are in good condition especially for their age. Both lids have crazing as is expected from ironstone of this era. One point of one Body Handle has a small chip(see last photo) One prong of that same handle also has a hairline(see photo 11) The handle is solid. There are no other chips or cracks in the two pieces. It is very hard to find matching covered vegetable bowls in this condition from this era. The bottom of both bowls are marked with a seven pointed star backstamp with"E.B. Stone China" inside. With the lids on. Each bowl measures 6 1/4 inches tall and they are about 11 1/2 inches long. Antique Ironstone Covered Tureen - 3-1/2 Qt.
This is certainly one of the more impressive pieces of ironstone I have seen in some time- both in terms of size an condition. It measures 14" x 9" at its widest an is 11" tall to the top of the handle(which appears to be an artichoke. It is in pristine condition with a sparling white glaze and no signs of wear. Considering its age. It most likely was only used on Holidays, which accounts for its lack of wear. It is a large piece which only would have been used for family dinners rather than daily food service. Although there is no mark. It is definitely a piece from the late 19th C and I have seen this pattern many times before attributed to the English manufacturers. This tureen would be an excellent focal point in your collection; great for seasonal floral displays; or simply for food service- 3-1/2 qts of soup!

Up for auction is this superb sauce tureen a beautiful example of English blue transfer ware from the 1840's. The original underplate is also included! This tureen is marked at the bottom of the platter with the pattern name"Antique" and"Stoneware" but no manufactors name is present. Perhaps the urn shaped mark would give a clue to the maker. The cover, underplate and body are in very good condition with only minor discoloration to small areas on a few edges. There are no chips, fractures, touch ups or puttied repairs to this piece with the exception of 3 small pits on the front of the platter, pictured in the 8th photo, these were caused during manufacture from the 3 points on the kiln firing tripod, these marks are also on the bottom of the platter in the same triangular position. Up for bid is a US Pottery company Pitcher made in Wellsville Ohio. It holds 2 quarts of liquid. It is beautiful with a grape motif. Its basic color is white. The grapes are purple. It has gold paint around the top and decorating the handle. It is about 8 3/8 inches tall and 7 1/4 at the base and 4 3/4 inches at the top. All measurements are at the widest points. It has only 2 draw back. It has a crack in the middle of the pour spout. and a 2nd crack at the base on the bottom below the handle. They do not affect its performance. But are there and you should know it. There are no other unmentioned chips or cracks in the piece. The gold paint shows some wear. A very nice piece for its age. We are pleased to offer this fabulous Antique English Porcelain Dish/Tureen. Made in England. 1800 `s. The pattern name number 2455. It is richly gilded design is of a Japanese Garden in Imari Style. Deep green enamels and cobalt blue with an exquisite bird. The bird is enameled in deep blue/cobalt, yellow and red, with delicate gilding outlining the body. The Japanese garden motif is exquisite on this Victorian period antique. The Tureen is in nice condition. Some signs of wear through use. Dimension: 7” tall. 5 5/8” opening. Rare Antique Vintage Ceramic Porcelain White Pig Covered Dish- Basket Weave 6 1/2 H X 6 1/2" W For sale is an old white ceramic or porcelain covered dish in the shape of a pig with a basket weave base. This item is old and does show some signs of its age. The most worrisome is a small crack(1/4 inch) on the top pig portion of the item. It is fixable and should be attended to. Antique Imari Blue Dragon Unusual Unknown Transferware Divided 2 Pc. Tureen
This item is 14" long handle to handle. 8 1/2" wide and 3 1/2" high. I do not know the mark or the pattern. It is an unusual divided dish. The center edge of the divider has been repaired as you can see in the picture. There is typical age crazing and edge wear too but no cracks or chips. Pretty Imari burnt orange and blue colors. I'm not sure if I'm calling this item by the right name. It is an antique bowl. Or tureen, with 2 handles, footed, and raised relief peaches and leaves on front. I could not identify the mark on the bottom(crown with marking underneath) but it says"Vienna Austria" There are two hairline cracks on the back side, some paint has been worn down with age, and one of the peach stems is broken. 9 3/4" long, 4" tall. My ignorance could be your good fortune!

Antique 1847-67 Copeland Staffordshire Flow Blue 2 Piece Embossed Floral Tureen
This is a gorgeous Flow Blue Tureen produced by Copeland in an area known as Stoke on Trent in Staffordshire England. This is an estate find. It came from a lifelong collector who attended every auction she could find. I was told that this is considered a sauce tureen. It is a two piece set. The bowl and under plate were made connected as one piece. The other piece is the cover. There is also an open spot for a ladle on the cover. This Tureen is made of an opaque porcelain material very similar to ironstone. The design is a deep cobalt blue transfer pattern which features floral designs from top to bottom. It has a thick high gloss finish throughout. There are many. Many, embossed areas on the tureen, under plate and the cover which are heavily accented with deep cobalt flow blue coloring. This is an excellent example of mid 19th Century ... moreCopeland from Staffordshire. Josiah Spode Founded this company in 1770 and is credited for having perfected this type of underglaze blue transfer printing in 1783-4. Copeland has had over 200 different markings during their existence. This particular mark is basically the same mark which was used by Copeland when they became partners with Garratt. This partnersip began in 1833 and ended in 1847. The markings on this piece indicate that it was made around that time period. Both the cover and base are marked with a stamped underglaze Copeland in a green wreath with a crown. There is also an impressed Copeland mark on the base along with a few impressed letters. The blue and white handle on the cover is completely surrounded by embossed leaves. There are two luxurious handles on each end of the tureen as well. The underplate features several embossed leaf and floral designs. Each of the two bottom corners of the under plate also have elaborate handles, both with two piercings. This is a very busy piece.
