Listing is for a 19th century Chinese export tureen. It was clearly intended for the European market. Adopting a very Staffordshire type of scene to decorate the piece. The item measures 7 1/2" x 4 1/4" wide x 5" and is in very good condition with the exception of a piece missing from the scroll handle as seen in photo#9. There is also a small fissure created during firing that can be seen in one of the top corners of the piece. RARE 19th Century Soup Tureen Dale and Davis Trenton N.J.
This beautiful tureen is from a local estate. There was a hand written paper in the tureen indicating it was made in Trenton N.J. It is marked as seen in the 4th photo and the only company I can find that might use that mark is Dale and Davis. It is in wonderful condition with only minor crazing on the inside and some stains in the bottom of the tureen consistent with age and use. It measures 13" from handle to handle and the base is 10"X 6.5" I have 3 different covered pieces from this set that I will be listing.

Very lovely late 19th Century Aesthetic Movement pink red transferware covered dish. Most likely from England. Pictures of a castle& a tropical village with palm trees on the cover and sides. Handles on the top& sides. There is an incised mark on the bottom but it's not readable. Nice Aesthetic Movement decorations. It is in very good condition for it's age; as you might expect. The rim of the cover and the dish have some dark areas and tiny chips, one pinhead brown spot on lid. Otherwise, no cracks or discoloration. Approximately 5 1/4" tall to the top of the handle. 10 1/4" long, 6 1/4" wide.

On the top of the lid there is a black and pink bird surrounded by flowers. On the lower half of the tureen base are two more painted birds and flowers. All together it measures 6 1/4" tall. The underplate is 1 3/8" tall and 7 1/2" in diameter. The base of the tureen is 3 1/4" tall and 7 1/4" in diameter. The lid is 2 1/4" tall and 5 1/2" in diameter. Fabulous Antique 19th Century English Raised Porcelain Gravy/Sauce Tureen w/ Lid Presented is a fabulous antique 19th century English raised porcelain gravy/sauce tureen with lid. The gravy/sauce tureen and its matching underplate are completely handpainted. They are painted light green and accented with thick gilding and pierce work. They are also ornately decorated with beautiful handpainted floral decorations. The centerpiece for both pieces features a handpainted English countryside scene. There is a notch for a ladle on the lid. This wonderful set was made in England between 1825-1850. Spode or Davenport are the probable makers. The tureen and lid are in wonderful condition. There is very minimal fading to the gilding. Otherwise. This piece is in great condition, and it has no cracks, no chips, and no crazing. See photos below. Jesse Bridgwood purchased a decrepit pottery factory in Burslem, England, known as the"Churchyard Works" He was soon joined by Edward Clarke and, together, they upgraded and expanded the facility. 7 yrs before the death of J. Bridgwood in 1864, the partners were producing durable and lovely"Ironstone" dinnerware for export to the U.S. where it caught the eye of one Mary Todd Lincoln. Antique French 19th century elegant soupi è re/soup tureen. With out lid. About 12" across top. Handle to handle, 6" across base and 6½" high. A hairline crack on the inside. It doesn't show on the outside. Slightly scuffed handles from lots of use. A small scratch in the porcelain and a spot which wasn't covered completely with glaze. See photo collage. Antique ceramic soupiè re from the famous J. Veillard manufacture in Bordeaux. Overall height about 10" About 12" across handles and almost 5½" across base. The J. Veillard& Cie. Bordeaux stamp on the base was used from 1829 to 1895, this is an old soupière. Apart from a minute chip under rim of lid and a darker mark nearby this tureen is in super used condition. This listing is for a 19th century Ashworth tureen with lid. It is 135 years old and in good overall condition. The hallmark on the bottom dates this piece to October 17. 1879. It shows minor wear and there are 3 hairline cracks. All on the same side- two on the outside and one on the inside(please see last two photos) They are not really notable unless pointed out and this piece will make a beautiful centerpiece. It is footed and comes with a lid. It is beautifully hand painted with a white, beige, and green flower motiff, accented in gold paint. The bottom is imprinted with"ASHWORTH REAL CHINA" a 3-digit number and letter and a diamond imprint reflecting the age. There is some wear on the feet and around the date symbol making it difficult to read without a magnifying glass or jewellers loupe. Beautiful London-decorated tureen probably made by Swansea in mid-19th Century. The tureen itself is 12" high overall tureen sitting on underplate. The underplate is approx. 15" on the longer handles dimention. While only13" diameter on the non-handle sides, the underplate is 1.5" deep. The tureen similarly is wider on the handles dimension: 12" with handles, 10" diameter on the non-handles sides(s) The tureen itself is 7" deep internally. The lid is 3.5" high while the overall height of the tureen and lid is 9" high. THERE IS ONE HAIRLINE FISSURE IN THE GLAZE JUST INSIDE THE LID WHERE A LADLE WOULD FIT. IT IS BARELY VISIBLE AND DOES NOT GO THROUGH TO THE CLAY BODY. DON'T KNOW IF IT EVER HAD A PORCELAIN LADLE.MAYBE A STERLING ONE WAS USED, AND SHOULD BE USED NOW WITH THIS SERVING PIECE.
