Top handle of the tureen, and top lip of the tureen the listing also includes the ladle. Which I find to be extraordinary due to the age of this wonderful piece This tureen came from a Michigan estate and was treated with respect. rarely used. the piece is 12" wide at it's widest point. 7 1/4" wide, and 7" tall. the pattern of the piece is unknown. But is very similiar to the John Maddock& sons Brown Oakland pattern, with the addition of red and yellow coloration on the florals. with the exception of some wear on the gold embellishment. The tureen is in very good condition. I see no evidence of chips or cracks. this beautiful piece needs a new home and we would love to work with you to ship it to someone who would love it as much as we do. Tunstall and Stoke, Staffordshire, England was originally established in 1769. This particular mark was used from about 1879 to the early 1900's. Antique Victorian Hen on Nest Tureen w Baby Chicks
A classic Victorian antique. This hen on nest was nicely molded and made sometime in the mid to late 19th century. This hen has three baby chicks tucked under her wings and breast. Likely made in the Staffordshire area of England. The hen has initials on the bottom that look like M H and probably those of the individual who painted the dish. This is a split tail bird and measures about 6 1/8 inches x 8 1/4 inches and stands around 8 3/8 inches tall. There is a chip off the hen's beak. It has been filled in with ink. A very wonderful antique late Victorian KPM glazed porcelain vegetable tureen. The lid has an applied figural cherub holding a cornucopia of flowers. The bases of the handles have applied stemmed leaves with small and large buds. The lid and the tureen have a molded basket weave band. The underside is marked in blue with the septer of KPM. It measures 12" tall by 15-1/4" wide at handles. The bowl 5" in depth by 11" wide by 8-1/2" deep. Very good plus condition: lid and tureen without cracks or stains. The cherub with cornucopia and flowers is perfect. Large glaze bubble grind on the tureen side(see photo. Two tiny buds, and two large buds, on side by handles are chipped or missing.

It measures 12 inches(30.48 cm) long by 6.85 inches(17.4 cm) tall to the top of the ornate handle by 10 inches(25.4 cm) deep. It has some printed marks on the bottom indicating Cologne. Great-grandmother was the daughter of a politician and she recieved generous wedding gifts from his political allies. GG was registered in the fancy local department store for two sets of china- every day and fancy. This pattern was NOT the fancy china but you will no doubt see the lovely design as something to cherish for your fanciest table settings. The family story is that GG's parents purchased the serving pieces for her prior to the wedding announcements. GG's mother wanted her to have a large enough service for entertaining. I have a 17" serving platter on one of my ... moreother listings! This dainty pattern is reminiscent of Limoge's Bridal Wreath- a commonly preferred pattern during the time. GG's family was Western Canadian and her fancier china was by Wedgwood in a more serious pattern- this Austrian made service would have been a breath of fresh air for breakfasts. Luncheons and cozy family dinners. Prettiest decal roses in pink with touches of green leaves and the occasional yellowish rose thrown in the mix. This large lidded soup tureen with slot for ladle is marked with a reddish orange brown mark of a W in a wreath of roses with a bow and the word Austria. Very nice antique tureen? i guess that's what they call a bowl with lid. This one has an unusual lid. The handle looks like a branch coming out of the lid. Very nice antique bowl. The base measures 3 inches tall with out lid. It measures 11 1/4 inches long. and 6 inches wide. This particular bowl was one of my favorites. I have 2 antique hutches in my dining room and this one was displayed on one of my hutches. I have listed my other antique tureen i used on my other hutch in separate auction. Both were purchased at an antique auction probably 20 years ago. This is in great condition, no chips or cracks or repairs. I don't even see any crazing on this. There are some hallmarks on the bottom, but i can't make them out. This is a very quality piece.
