Up for auction are two antique silver-plated creamers recently found at auction in the suburban Philadelphia. PA area. They are found in good used condition. Both are unsigned. The footed one does have a number incised on the bottom, which is number 950. This is best seen in photo#7. The only condition is a small dent in the bulbous form creamer, best seen in photo#9. Both creamers could benefit from a good cleaning. The footed creamer stands on four feet and is vine decorated. This creamer has a wonderful spout and scrolled and incised handle. It measures approximately 5 1/4" tall and has an opening of approximately 3" in size. The feet are quite decorative as well. The second creamer has a round foot, a nicely scrolled handle rope decorated foot and rim. It is found in fair to good used condition and would look good hanging on the wall or to be used on a daily basis. Primary colors are gold. Red, yellow, green and blue on a black background. Up for sale is a primitive antique 19th Century toleware tin metal document prix recently found at auction in the Lancaster County. PA area. It is found in good used condition. It is painted black, with an alligator finish. Some of the base metal and rust run through the finish. There is a hasp on the side to secure the box when closed, and a bail handle on top. Up for auction is a vintage antique Provincial Tile(PT) Works wedgewood blue Majolica architectural tile recently found at auction in the suburban Philadelphia PA area. It is found in good used condition with the only condition of heavy crazing under the glaze. Very typical of these tiles of this age and one small chip to one corner, number 4. This measures 3" sq by 1/2" thick. There are very minor knicks to the back as well as a build up of the old glue on the back and plasters on the side. A great repurposed trivet or a great wall hanging. The design# is on the back, we cannot make it out but believe is to be F276, but not positive, difficult to make out and too hard to photograph. This is an antique early 20th century Arts and Crafts or Art Deco decorative frame with a later matt. I would date it 1920s or 1930s. Overall. The frame measures 13 1/4 inches by 17 1/4 inches(33.66 cm x 43.82 cm) The back opening size is 12 inches by 16 1/8 inches(30.5 cm x 40.96 cm) The molding width measures 13/16 inches(2.06 cm) I initially thought this was a handcarved frame. But as I kept staring at it I came to the conclusion it is composition attached to the base wood. But it sure does look handcarved! The thin flat part of the front of the frame has noticeable light wear all along it. Please see photos) The decorative composition part is in very good condition. Though it does have that same type of wear. It also has a few very tiny nicks on the inner edge. But they're not very noticeable. It is found in good used condition and is made of wood, with an embroidered textile front. Piping material helps hold this to the wood. The wood is wedge shaped to hold the door in place. This piping is loose and should be re-glued. Please see photo#4 for details. The only other condition issue to discuss is that one of the sides is pushed in. Up for auction is a vintage antique hand painted floret decorated birds-eye maple storage box recently found at auction in the suburban Philadelphia. PA area. It is found in good used condition. The only issues are losses to the black corner guard. One such are is best seen in photo#7. The floral, either rose or morning glory is paint decorated on only one side. Antique Square Frame w/ Beveled Original 14"x14" Mirror Decorative Arts
Up for auction is an antique decorative arts picture frame with what appears to be the original mirror and backing. It is found in good used condition. The beveled square mirror itself shows age spots. Consistent with age. The inside of the mirror has a gold gesso with a nice repeating pattern. There is an silver liner above that, and a natural wood border. Very attractive. Even though it is a square mirror, the hanger can be changed so it could be used in a diamond form too. An interesting mirror in any primitive or country setting, This piece measures approximately 14" x 14" in size. The entire size with the frame is approximately 18" x 18" in size. Up for auction is an antique woodenware empire bureau box recently found at auction in the suburban Philadelphia. PA area. In its day, these boxes were sitting on a dresser for storage. It is found in fair to good used condition. Made of veneered mahogany over a pine base. The biggest condition issues include a loss at the end of the top, best seen in photo#3-5. Please see the photos for details. They are several scratches and stains on this piece as well. A crack is on the cover as well. It could have been constructed this way. This crack is best seen in photos#2 and 6. It sits on four bun style feet and could benefit from a good overall cleaning.
