Stoke-on-Trent, operated by Enoch Wedgwood(a distant relation of Josiah Wedgwood I) and his younger brother Jabez According to Jewitt's- Ceramic Art of Great Britain 1800-1900"These were large and important manufactories of general earthenware. Situated in Amicable Street and Great Woodland Street, they were succeeded by Wedgwood& Co, the head of the firm being Enoch Wedgwood. The works were very extensive and gave employment to six or seven hundred persons, occupied an area of about an acre of ground and were among the most substantially built and best arranged in the pottery district. The goods produced were the higher classes of earthenware. In which dinner, tea, breakfast, desert, toilet and other services, and all the usual miscellaneous articles were made to a very considerable extent, for the home, Colonial, Continental and American markets. The quality of the"Imperial Ironstone China" the staple production of the firm- was of remarkable excellence. Both in body and glaze. The tureen has the deep Flo blue flowers on white base and elaborate handle on the lid. The tureen. The lid and the underplate have laced rims. The colors still are bright and vibrant. The tureen is 8 1/2" b 6" at the rim and it is 6 1/2" high to the top of the lid. The under dish is 8" by 5 1/2" the ladle is 7" long. They all have nice blue flowers. The under dish and the tureen are marked with impressed Wedgwood and Co- s tandard name-mark used alone or incorporated in printed marks. Printed blue mark that dates the set c 1890- 1906 There is one small chip on the lid of the tureen and two small chips on the ladle. Otherwise the set is free of chips, cracks or crazing. This is a beautiful antique sauce tureen- mark on bottom is a seated dog and Semi-porcelain and E.M. Co. Edge Malkin& Co. New Port Pottery, Burslem, Staffordshire. Dates from around 1890-1900. Pattern shows curlicues of flow blue with gold embellishment along with a transfer of daisy-like flowers-in red and yellow- possibly mums or nastershums- not sure. I do not know the pattern name but it is lovely. It is probably for vegetables or sauce. Has nice applied ornate handles. Normal manufacturing flaws but no cracks, chips or discolor. Antique WH Grindley England Flow Blue Tureen Ashburton Pattern
This piece contains so many of the elements that have made flow blue popular and enduring thru generations. Although beautiful. It is sold"as is. I have tried to show the wear and tear that has occurred around the rim. There is one very small chip on the outside of the rim, but it is practically unnoticeable with the bleed of the blue beyond the depth of the chip. The photo accentuates the chip a little more than is visually seen in person. Please study the photos carefully, but even with the worn areas around the rim, I do not think you will be disappointed with this purchase. The Grindley pineapple trademark is printed on the base. This is a vintage Worcester ironstone tureen in good condition. But it isn't perfect. The bottom has handling wear to the gold trim, but no chips, cracks, or crazing. A couple faint brown stains on the blue area, but otherwise very clean and shiny. The lid, however, has been broken and repaired. No other chips, cracks, or crazing. Antique Flow Blue Tureen with Scene of Trematon Castle by R. Hall This very dark flow blue tureen was produced by Ralph Hall in Staffordshire. England in the early 1800s. This earthenware bowl has the picture transfer of Trematon Castle in Cornwall on both sides of the tureen and in the middle. The tureen has a decorative border on both the inside and outside and at the bottom. It is 7 3/4" from handle to handle and 3 3/4" across the middle. This bowl is in remarkable condition with no cracks. There are only a few places where the glaze has come off. Ship to USA only

Wood & Sons England - Madras - Flow Blue w/ Gold Accents - Large Antique Tureen
This listing is for antique Wood& Sons porcelain footed tureen with lid. But no laddle manufactured in England in the flow blue version of the"Madras" pattern. It a beautiful flow blue pattern with gold accents on a milk-white embossed surface with scalloped and beaded edging. I was able to date the bottom stamp to between 1891-1907. The pattern is in exceptional condition with no signs of wear or staining. The gold is very strong across the entire piece with the exception of one of the handles. One handle has very strong gold accents while the other handle shows virtually no gold at all as can be seen in the pictures. This piece was acquired at a local antique auction. The tureen and lid are in excellent condition with no chips. Cracks, damage, repairs, or noticeable scratches. The pattern is strong and the glaze still shines ... morebeautifully, however there is an extremely fine and very light crazing across the entire lid and bowl. It is very faint and can only be seen in some of the pictures even though the crazing is across the entire piece. The only other imperfection I found is a small nick in the rim of the bowl that can be seen in the last two pictures. This tureen measures about 12 inches wide from handle to handle and it's about 7 inches tall with the lid in place. This is a beautiful example of antique English flow blue china. Antique Victorian Adams & Co. Kyber pattern Flow Blue tureen, marked
Offered for auction is this super Adam and Co. Flow Blue Kyber pattern covered tureen. Marked on the bottom. The William Adams& Company. Tunstall and Stoke, Staffordshire, England was originally established in 1769. This particular mark was used from about 1879 to the early 1900's. The center features an oriental garden motif of buildings. The shaded dark blue color is fantastic. The marking, representing the pattern, is stamped"Kyber- W.Adams Co. England" The condition is great with no cracks, chips or repairs. A very unusual octagonal shape and 11" across from handle to handle.

Bu Tee Us! One way to describe it. George and John Alcock circa 1839-1846 flow blue Scinde covered tureen with ladle. All pieces excellent. I hope I have photographed well. The most I see. Are 3 small brown marks on the interior of the bowl. The ladle has wear to the top edge, from use. Top, A+ perfect. The ladle, perfect but for the wear to the glaze. The bowl, normal wear to the foot rim, and the tiny brown spots. Maybe from the kiln, or perhaps wear. It is a number 5, 8 1/4" handles end to handles end. Ladle just under 6" long, bowl 7/8" deep. We are offering this great flow blue tureen. It measures 13& 1/2" across from the tips of the handles. 10& 3/8" wide and 6& 3/4" tall to the top of the rose handle. The maker is L. G. Alcock and the pattern is"SCINDE" Both the base and the lid are marked oriental stone L. G. Alcock and the lid has the number 5 above the signature. The finish is great with just a hint of crazing in the white area inside. They are no chips or cracks but the one handle has been off and glued back on. Antique 1847-67 Copeland Staffordshire Flow Blue 2 Piece Embossed Floral Tureen
This is a gorgeous Flow Blue Tureen produced by Copeland in an area known as Stoke on Trent in Staffordshire England. This is an estate find. It came from a lifelong collector who attended every auction she could find. I was told that this is considered a sauce tureen. It is a two piece set. The bowl and under plate were made connected as one piece. The other piece is the cover. There is also an open spot for a ladle on the cover. This Tureen is made of an opaque porcelain material very similar to ironstone. The design is a deep cobalt blue transfer pattern which features floral designs from top to bottom. It has a thick high gloss finish throughout. There are many. Many, embossed areas on the tureen, under plate and the cover which are heavily accented with deep cobalt flow blue coloring. This is an excellent example of mid 19th Century ... moreCopeland from Staffordshire. Josiah Spode Founded this company in 1770 and is credited for having perfected this type of underglaze blue transfer printing in 1783-4. Copeland has had over 200 different markings during their existence. This particular mark is basically the same mark which was used by Copeland when they became partners with Garratt. This partnersip began in 1833 and ended in 1847. The markings on this piece indicate that it was made around that time period. Both the cover and base are marked with a stamped underglaze Copeland in a green wreath with a crown. There is also an impressed Copeland mark on the base along with a few impressed letters. The blue and white handle on the cover is completely surrounded by embossed leaves. There are two luxurious handles on each end of the tureen as well. The underplate features several embossed leaf and floral designs. Each of the two bottom corners of the under plate also have elaborate handles, both with two piercings. This is a very busy piece.
