Listing is for a 19th century Chinese export tureen. It was clearly intended for the European market. Adopting a very Staffordshire type of scene to decorate the piece. The item measures 7 1/2" x 4 1/4" wide x 5" and is in very good condition with the exception of a piece missing from the scroll handle as seen in photo#9. There is also a small fissure created during firing that can be seen in one of the top corners of the piece. This Tureen has handles on each side and is 12 inches from handle to handle. 6 3/4 inches wide and 4 inches deep without the lid. Bridgwood Antique Porcelian: 19th Century Tureen
Bridgwood English Porcelain Antique Tureen. This is a small covered tureen. It is in a classic blue and white pattern. It may have been called the Lawrence Pattern. It is 6" in diameter 6" tall with cover and 3" tall with out cover. It was produced in the mid-19th century in England. These were from my granny's estate. For your consideration is a stunner of a tureen. This antique French 19th century soupiere stands approximately 12 inches high by 13 inches wide and is in excellent antique condition free from chips. Cracks, crazing or repairs. The base sports an embossed mark of a cursive Ll. Truly perfect as a centerpiece on a round table. Remove the top. Pop in a potted plant nestled in green moss and you are good to go. The size of this piece allows it to function as a wine cooler in a pinch. All items are from my gracious smoke-free home. A generous ten inches diameter. We believe Mid to Late 1800s. It is well marked and decorated in the Clarion pattern with beautiful gold trim. There is some very minor discoloration(8th photo) and moderate crazing(pictured) There are no cracks, chips, or repairs. Fabulous Antique 19th Century English Raised Porcelain Gravy/Sauce Tureen w/ Lid Presented is a fabulous antique 19th century English raised porcelain gravy/sauce tureen with lid. The gravy/sauce tureen and its matching underplate are completely handpainted. They are painted light green and accented with thick gilding and pierce work. They are also ornately decorated with beautiful handpainted floral decorations. The centerpiece for both pieces features a handpainted English countryside scene. There is a notch for a ladle on the lid. This wonderful set was made in England between 1825-1850. Spode or Davenport are the probable makers. The tureen and lid are in wonderful condition. There is very minimal fading to the gilding. Otherwise. This piece is in great condition, and it has no cracks, no chips, and no crazing. See photos below. Antique French 19th century elegant soupi è re/soup tureen. With out lid. About 12" across top. Handle to handle, 6" across base and 6½" high. A hairline crack on the inside. It doesn't show on the outside. Slightly scuffed handles from lots of use. A small scratch in the porcelain and a spot which wasn't covered completely with glaze. See photo collage. Antique ceramic soupiè re from the famous J. Veillard manufacture in Bordeaux. Overall height about 10" About 12" across handles and almost 5½" across base. The J. Veillard& Cie. Bordeaux stamp on the base was used from 1829 to 1895, this is an old soupière. Apart from a minute chip under rim of lid and a darker mark nearby this tureen is in super used condition. Beautiful London-decorated tureen probably made by Swansea in mid-19th Century. The tureen itself is 12" high overall tureen sitting on underplate. The underplate is approx. 15" on the longer handles dimention. While only13" diameter on the non-handle sides, the underplate is 1.5" deep. The tureen similarly is wider on the handles dimension: 12" with handles, 10" diameter on the non-handles sides(s) The tureen itself is 7" deep internally. The lid is 3.5" high while the overall height of the tureen and lid is 9" high. THERE IS ONE HAIRLINE FISSURE IN THE GLAZE JUST INSIDE THE LID WHERE A LADLE WOULD FIT. IT IS BARELY VISIBLE AND DOES NOT GO THROUGH TO THE CLAY BODY. DON'T KNOW IF IT EVER HAD A PORCELAIN LADLE.MAYBE A STERLING ONE WAS USED, AND SHOULD BE USED NOW WITH THIS SERVING PIECE.
