We have acquired this nice Antique VEG SERVER& LID BROWN TRANSFERWARE"Elsmere" by A.F.Co STAFFORDSHIRE It has a chip on the rim of the dish and on the foot. ANTIQUE ENGLISH EMPIRE STAFFORDSHIRE ART POTTERY BLUE BAND DODECAGON TUREEN BOWL
Up for auction is an Empire Porcelain Company Limited of Stoke on Trent. Staffordshire, England(Formerly Stoke, England 1896 to 1967) White Glazed Porcelain, 12 Sided(Dodecagon) Art Deco, Staffordshire Art Pottery Tureen or Serving Bowl with its Lid, Featuring Wide Bands of Colbalt Blue Trim and Gold Trim in"Excellent Plus" Used Condition, Date Coded as being Manufactured in August of 1932. This Art Deco tureen or covered dish is absolutely stunning with it's wide band cobalt blue trim and a bit of gold trim to go along with its dodecagon(12 sided) shape. It has no chips. Cracks, outside scratches, scuffs or repairs of any kind and I'm grading it as being in"Excellent Plus" condition because there are just a few minor glaze crazing lines on the bottom of the tureen and some of it's gold trim has worn away over ... morethe years as well. Glaze crazing can be very normal with any glazed pottery or porcelain which has some age to it. Worn away gold trim is also normal and when it comes to the gold trim most pottery factories applied it over the glaze so over time it can rub off and wear away. If you use the"Supersize" and"Zoom" features I've provided with the pictures you'll be able to see where some of the gold is now very faint or completely missing. Interestingly enough if you"Super Size" picture 11 showing you a close up view of the maker's mark you can see one of the glaze crazing lines going across the ink stamp mark and please remember the glaze crazing is isolated to the bottom only. There are also a few factory flaws which consist of tiny dark specks within the white glaze in a few places and this can be considered normal for white glazed pottery from this era. Lastly if you look at picture 12 you can see a small and very faded blue cloud which is within the glaze and probably got there when the decorating department applied the cobalt blue bands. Please also note that inside the bowl and on the backside of the lid you can see three discolore

Antique Staffordshire Lions Head/Handles Covered Large Tureen
Here is a fabulous antique English blue and white transferware tureen with no markings. The lid has been professionally repaired. One can really only tell by the reglazing on the inside and very clever touch up to the flowers and swan I think, really hard to discern in my opinion. One lion has an old hairline and there are several pit marks and signs of wear. Also one tiny white spot which may be a drip of paint or clay when it was restored but I cannot remove, it is flat and a perfect tiny circle. Please look at all of the pictures. I tried to show more of the wrinkles but also enjoy the beauty of this fine tureen. It measures almost 11" across and about 14" including the lions head handles. It is about 4 3/4" deep and the opening is approximately 8" x 11" Adding the lid makes it stand about 10" high and without ... morethe lid it is about 6" high from the base. I have described this as accurately as I can and if you are not satisfied I will refund your Paypal payment less shipping costs when returned in the same condition as I sent it within a week of receiving it and emailing me first. Please ask any questions before you bid and read the description and look at the pictures too. US bidders only and no bidders with less than 10 positive feedback please. Prompt Paypal payment expected within 48 hours of auction end. Thanks! Insurance will be included with shipment in domestic US only. Check out my other"interesting stuff" from Pigfish Lane Antiques! Beautiful Staffordshire Antique White Ironstone Tureen-Corn Finial & Handles
This is a very nice early antique white ironstone tureen. The pattern has deeply etched corn and leaf details with a corn finial and corn handles. There are no cracks. I have only washed this with soap and water, possibly the browning can be bleached out with the proper solution.

Vtg Antique Tureen Ironstone Royal Staffordshire Pottery England Valley Forge
This Vintage Antique Soup Tureen is from the renowned Royal Staffordshire Pottery. In 1896 Arther J. Wilkinson took over this pottery. The works at first produced earthenware for the home market. But later operations concentrated on white graniteware for the United States~and although this is Ironstone it does explain the pattern being called Valley Forge ~. The pottery was managed by Colley Shorter. An affluent Victorian, and his brother Guy. Colley, whose full name was Arthur Colley Austin Shorter(1882-1963) He moved in exclusive circles and had a taste for antiques and fine furnishings; which shows in the Classical lines of this Soup Tureen. His second wife was the ceramic designer Clarice Cliff. This Large 13" long. 7" wide and 5 1/2" deep Tureen will hold any of your Holiday Soups or other Delights. With a lip on each ... moreside it makes it quite easy to pick up when full to set on it's matching Underplate. The Ladle is ample for bowl filling and with the Lid to keep it hot it will be outstanding on your Holiday Table. Please see the photos since there are 2 very small nicks on the bowl. But this in no way takes away from the form and function of this piece; considering this is c. 1910 it is in quite good shape. Enjoy! Ironstone pottery was a form of durable. Antique 1847-67 Copeland Staffordshire Flow Blue 2 Piece Embossed Floral Tureen
This is a gorgeous Flow Blue Tureen produced by Copeland in an area known as Stoke on Trent in Staffordshire England. This is an estate find. It came from a lifelong collector who attended every auction she could find. I was told that this is considered a sauce tureen. It is a two piece set. The bowl and under plate were made connected as one piece. The other piece is the cover. There is also an open spot for a ladle on the cover. This Tureen is made of an opaque porcelain material very similar to ironstone. The design is a deep cobalt blue transfer pattern which features floral designs from top to bottom. It has a thick high gloss finish throughout. There are many. Many, embossed areas on the tureen, under plate and the cover which are heavily accented with deep cobalt flow blue coloring. This is an excellent example of mid 19th Century ... moreCopeland from Staffordshire. Josiah Spode Founded this company in 1770 and is credited for having perfected this type of underglaze blue transfer printing in 1783-4. Copeland has had over 200 different markings during their existence. This particular mark is basically the same mark which was used by Copeland when they became partners with Garratt. This partnersip began in 1833 and ended in 1847. The markings on this piece indicate that it was made around that time period. Both the cover and base are marked with a stamped underglaze Copeland in a green wreath with a crown. There is also an impressed Copeland mark on the base along with a few impressed letters. The blue and white handle on the cover is completely surrounded by embossed leaves. There are two luxurious handles on each end of the tureen as well. The underplate features several embossed leaf and floral designs. Each of the two bottom corners of the under plate also have elaborate handles, both with two piercings. This is a very busy piece. I have not found another Copeland piece even remotely similar to this one. I have taken several pictures for your better understanding. This is a perfect example of top line Flow bl
